  • In order to utilize remote sensed images effectively, a lot of image classification methods are suggested for many years. But, the accuracy of traditional methods based on pixel-based classification is not high in general. In this study, object oriented classification based on image segmentation is used to classify Landsat images. A necessary prerequisite for object oriented image classification is successful image segmentation. Object oriented image classification, which is based on fuzzy logic, allows the integration of a broad spectrum of different object features, such as spectral values , shape and texture. Landsat images are divided into urban, agriculture, forest, grassland, wetland, barren and water in sochon-gun, Chungcheongnam-do using object oriented classification algorithms in this paper. Preliminary results will help to perform an automatic image classification in the future.

  • This paper presents a margin-based face liveness detection method with behavioral confirmation to prevent spoofing attacks using deep learning techniques. The proposed method provides a possibility to prevent biometric person authentication systems from replay and printed spoofing attacks. For this work, a set of real face images and fake face images was collected and a face liveness detection model is trained on the constructed dataset. Traditional face liveness detection methods exploit the face image covering only the face regions of the human head image. However, outside of this region of interest (ROI) might include useful features such as phone edges and fingers. The proposed face liveness detection method was experimentally tested on the author's own dataset. Collected databases are trained and experimental results show that the trained model distinguishes real face images and fake images correctly.

  • Aerial images are being one of the important aspects of satellite imagery, delivers effective information on landcovers. Their special characteristics includes the viewpoint from space which clarifies data related to land examining processes. Aerial images taken by satellites employed radio waves to wirelessly transmit images to ground stations. Due to transmission errors, images get distorted and unable to perform in landcover examining. This paper proposes an aerial image enhancement method using deep autoencoders. A properly trained autoencoder can enhance an aerial image to a considerable level of improvement. Results showed that the achieved enhancement is better than that was obtained from traditional image denoising methods.
