미래무기체계의 성능평가모형 (Performance Evaluation Model for Future Weapon Systems)

  • In this paper we suggested a performance evaluation model for future weapon systems. Weapon Performance Index(WPI) model transform the characteristics of alternatives as indices. We can easily obtain WPIs of alternatives with the model. The highest WPI recommended as the best solution. The performance elements in hierachy for future weapon systems are determined by systems engineering procedure. Priorities in hierachy can be determined through survey of experts engineering procedure. Priorities in hierachy can be determined through survey of experts and statistical analysis. Utility function is formulated as a probability model and utility score is predicted on the basis of historical data about the same category of weapon systems in the world. WPI is calculate from sum of product of priorities and utility scores. The model can be applied to trade-off analysis, cost and effectiveness analysis, war game model.

  • In this paper, we conduct a performance analysis for the composite scheme that is obtained by combining the data distribution and the data replication schemes usually used for the implementation of distributed directory service systems. The analysis results reveal that the composite model is a viable option to overcome the performance trade-off between the data distribution and the data replication model. In this paper, we present the performance model developed for the composite model by appling queuing modelling. Using the performance model, performance values for a variety of system execution environments are suggested which enable us to bring an efficient design for high performance distributed directories.

  • Recently, electric utility is facing substantially new stream of business environment, such as pressure of business restructuring, competition with private IPPs, diversification of supply-side and demand-side resource options, environmental externalities and uncertainties. Integrated resource planning(IRP) is very useful and powerful approach for solving complex and diversified electricity supply and demand problems. This paper presents a standardized IRP procedure using multi-attribute decision analysis approach. The selection of the most desirable plan is based on multi-attribute trade-off/risk analysis method and score ranking method. As a case study, 50 plans with 12 scenarios are analyzed.

  • Recently, in the metro railways, researches on the skip-stop operation and development of the double deck train-set are active, which is to improve the service quality through reducing the passenger travel time and suppling seating service. Constructing new line or reforming the existent line needs huge amount of budget. Therefore, previous to start these large scale projects, scrutiny on benefit improvement, cost reduction and those optimal trade-off is indispensable. In this paper, a quantitative analysis to determine the optimal train service patterns and train-sets necessary is proposed, under the skip-stop operation condition in the metro railways. The analysis models are formulated in mathematical programming model, and tested validity using the LINGO 7.0.

  • The transfer function method is a widely used in the analysis of underwater radiated noise of ships because it is simple to implement and gives a simple way in the design stage requiring trade-off studies on various kinds of noise sources. In this study, a framework is implemented based on the transfer function method. The framework is interfaced to a software providing transfer functions of hull force to underwater radiated noise. The transfer function-based underwater radiated noise analysis approach is reviewed and the implemented framework structure is described. As an example, a numerical calculation of a virtual ship is carried out and its results are investigated in terms of applicability to real ship design project.

  • This paper describes the conceptual design of medium size helicopter rotor system. Based on assumed design requirements, trade-off study for rotor configuration has been conducted in terms of rotor tip speed, disk loading, blade area, solidity, etc for estimated primary mission gross weight. For the main rotor, four-blade and five-blade rotors are studied with the conventional tail rotor. The performance analysis for baseline configuration is conducted using a helicopter performance analysis program. The analysis shows design results satisfy the design requirements.

  • Myanmar's current power situation remains severely constrained despite being richly endowed in primary energy sources. With low levels of electrification, the demand for power is not adequately met. Cooperation in energy has been a major focus of future initiative for all developed and developing nations. If we want to solve climate change, and change our energy infrastructure, we need to be innovative and entrepreneurial in energy generation. This paper will help us in examining Bayesian MCMC Analysis for the parameters estimation among the arrival rates of disaster occurrences, firm's expected income-based electricity tariffs, and estimated R&D investment expenses in new energy industry. Focusing on Japan's electric power business, we would like to search the potential for innovative initiatives in new technological energy industry for the regional development and ecological sustainability in Myanmar.

Leakage Magnetic Field Suppression Using Dual-Transmitter Topology in EV Wireless Charging

  • This paper proposes an active leakage magnetic field (LMF) suppression scheme, which uses the dual-transmitter (DT) topology, for EV wireless charging systems (EVWCS). The two transmitter coils are coplanar, concentric and driven by separate inverters. The LMF components generated by the three coils cancel each other out to reduce the total field strength. This paper gives a detailed theoretical analysis on the operating principles of the proposed scheme. Finite element analysis is used to simulate the LMF distribution patterns. Experimental results show that when there is no coil misalignment, 97% of the LMF strength can be suppressed in a 1kW prototype. These results also show that the impact on efficiency is small. The trade-off between LMF suppression and efficiency is revealed, and a control strategy to balance these two objectives is presented.

  • 최근 비약적인 휴대폰의 다기능 세대의 발전에 따라 단말은 보다 많은 기능을 제공하고, 사용자도 점점 증가되는 추세이다. 하지만 이는 최근 대두되는 정보 통신 분야의 Green IT측면에서 휴대폰의 세대 발전을 따져본다면 반색 할 만한 일은 아니다. 휴대폰의 세대가 발전함에 따라 이산화탄소의 배출 감소율이 줄어들며, 현재 거의 포화상태에 도달해 있기 때문이다. 이는 기지국 등의 인프라뿐 아니라 단말기 자체에서 운영 중 전력 소모를 하면서 약 18%의 이산화탄소가 배출되기 때문에 단말기 자체의 전력 소모를 줄이는 일이 Green IT의 화두가 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 단말기와 기지국 사이의 페이징 과정 중 사용자의 개별적 특성을 고려한 슬롯 인덱스(slot index)의 조절을 통해 단말기 운영 중의 전력 소모를 줄이는 방법을 제안한다. 사용자의 특성은 통화시간대와 통화량에 따라 분류하여 이들에게 각기 다른 슬롯 인덱스를 적용시켜 페이징 시의 전력 소모를 관찰하였다. 이는 평균 80%정도의 소비 전력을 줄일 수 있었으나, 슬롯 인덱스 값이 증가 될수록 통화 품질과 관련된 응답 시간(time response)값이 증가되어 저하된 통화 품질을 얻는 Trade Off가 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 개인별 특성에 따른 페이징 조절에 대한 분석과 함께 Trade Off 해결안으로써 기지국 페이징채널 Power ramping방안을 제안하고 그 영향을 분석하고자 한다.

  • 아키텍처는 시스템의 품질 속성과 요구사항 그리고 비즈니스 목적 달성을 위해 이루어지는 중요한 설계 결정들의 집합으로 현재 소프트웨어 공학 프로세스에서 필수적으로 다루어지는 과정 중 하나이다. 최근 소프트웨어가 사용되는 컨텍스트와 개발 환경이 크게 변화하면서 복잡한 요구사항을 다루고 시스템의 품질 속성을 달성하는 것이 더욱 중요해지고 있다. 하지만 아키텍처 설계가 많은 부분에 있어 아키텍트의 직관에 의존하고 있으며 재사용 가능한 아키텍처 패턴을 설계에 적용할 때 패턴 스키마가 통일되지 않고 사용자 관점에서 표현되어지지 않아 비교 분석에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 본 논문은 아키텍처 패턴을 사용자 관점에서 재해석하여 품질 속성 요구사항과의 간격을 줄여주는 새로운 스키마를 제안한다. 또한 스키마로 재구성한 패턴 모델을 이용해 아키텍처 설계의 가장 중요한 요인인 품질속성이 설계 결정에 어떤 영향을 주는지 트레이드 오프를 고려한 패턴 추천 방법을 제안 한다.
