베이즈 이론을 이용한 교류전철변전소의 신뢰도 분석 (Reliability Analysis of AC traction System Substation by using Bayes' Theory)

  • The primary role of traction power systems is to provide reliable and continuous electrical energy to satisfy traction loads. AC traction substation transforms power from generation company and supply the power to the electric railway power line. Forced outage rate(FOR) of the equipment of substation should be used in the evaluation. This paper proposes the fast and easy way to evaluate by using Bayes' theory when a new equipment is added to the existing substation facility.

도시철도직류변전소의 회생전력 흡수를 위한 회생인버터 시뮬레이션 (Simulation study of a regenerative inverter for absorption of regenerative energy in a DC traction substation)

  • In DC traction substation with 12-pulse diode rectifiers, the DC line voltage tends to rise above noload voltage because it can't absorb the regenerative power caused by electric brakes of train. To solve this problem, an IGBT regenerative inverter should be installed and recycles the surplus regenerative power by delivering it. to the supply grid. In this paper, the DC traction substation equipped with a IGBT regenerative inverter is studied using computer simulation. Matlab/simulink is used to simulate the operation of regenerative inverter which injects the regenerative power into the supply grid and stabilizes the DC line voltage. It is confirmed that the high quality regenerative power is delivered to the supply grid thorough computer simulation.

  • In the electric railway systems, it is very important that we should design the system configuration, location and power capacity of substation. This paper presents the results of system configuration and system design of the DC traction power supply for the test line of Light Rail Vehicle. The voltage fluctuation of train and the power capacity of substation are calculated by computer simulation using the nodal equation, K.C.L/K.V.L, Ohm's law and superposition theory.

  • Load capacity varies according to a day of the week in traction power supply system, because time schedule in railway is changed as demand for passengers and freights. Therefore, Voltage drop also varies as load capacity. In Korea railway, Voltage collected from catenary in train is decreased, as load supplied traction power supply system is increased. Therefore, investigation about voltage drop should be performed, before development of countermeasure against voltage drop. The investigation can be performed by simulation or field test. Naturally, field test is more precise than simulation. In addition, field test should be carried out at peak load. This paper presents test and analysis about voltage drop in railway. The test is performed in both a day of the week and weekend. The analysis is figured out comparison load capacity between two days and voltage drop across terminal.

  • This paper presents new configuration of a.c. traction power supply system. The proposed system includes autotransformer with variable tab. The voltage drop in traction power supply system can be reduced due to tap change of autotransformer.   • There are several protective relays used to protect DC traction power supply system for DC railway. These relays, however, are made by different manufactures and they have different ways for their operations. Therefore, there are difficulties for cooperation between the devices or the devices and an upper system. In order to increase interoperability and stability of the system composed of devices made by different manufactures, IEC 61850 international standards are applied to design logical nodes for modeling protective elements used in protective relays.

  • 전기철도 급전시스템의 설계와 평가에 관련하여 어려운 점은 고려해야 할 요소들이 많고, 시스템적 접근이 요구되나 단편적인 논문과 엔지니어링 측면의 접근이 대부분이다. 본 논문에서는 전기철도 시스템 중 국내외에서 최근 활발히 추진되고 있는 경량전철을 위한 직류 급전시스템의 설계 및 그의 적정성을 평가하는 기법을 체계화하였다. 먼저, 급전 시스템의 구성요소인 급전 변전소와 부하인 차량과 그리고 전력선을 포함한 전체 시스템의 특성파악하고 분석하였다. 실제 계통과 동일하게 모델링하기 위하여 축약 및 등가화를 하였으며, 등가화한 시스템을 해석하기 위한 방안으로 노드방정식과 반복접근법을 적용하였으며, 이를 체계화하여 모의절차, 평가 및 설계방법을 제시하였다. 제시한 알고리즘 및 설계절차에 따라 프로그램을 개발하였으며 사례연구를 통하여 그 유효성을 입증하였다.

  • This paper presents a balanced 3/1 supply scheme for electric railway. By employing an active filter, the current of the three-phrase delivery system is balanced while the load is single phrase, which makes it possible for the traction system to behave like a pure-resistance load, with unity power factor and no harmonics. Simulation results are present to verify the scheme's topology and control strategies.
