Analysis of the Results for the Operation of a GPS Jammer Localization System

  • In this paper, results of a jammer detection and localization system operation are given. The system consists of receiver stations, a central tracking station, and a monitoring station and it was developed by our institute in 2014. Through real-time tests, it is confirmed that the developed system has an ability to estimate the location of interference sources with an accuracy of 50 m (CEP) even they was 10 km away. After verification, this system was installed in Incheon International Airport and operating results are being monitored by the airport and our institute continuously. In this year, there were some events that jamming signals were received from North Korea, so the data were analyzed and given here.

  • In this paper, the coarse acquisition code (C/A code), for civil navigation, of the ranging codes for Global Positioning System (GPS) is studied, simulated and analyzed by using Matlab. We can see with the simulation results that the correctness of the method and feasibility, which is at simulation platform to further study on the real environment of GPS signal, can be confirmed. With using this results, we think, the complexity of tracking the satellite signal environment can be captured, and the performance of satellite receiver will be improved.

  • 회전 항체용 GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System) 수신기의 회전 추적 루프를 제안하였다. 제안하는 회전 추적 루프는 항체의 회전속도와 회전각을 추적하는 회전 추적 루프가 반송파 추적 루프에 추가되는 형태이다. 회전 추적 루프에서 수신기의 상관기 출력값을 이용하여 항체의 회전 속도를 추정하고 이를 이용하여 회전 변조된 반송파의 위상과 주파수를 추적할 수 있도록 하였다. 제안하는 GNSS 수신기의 회전 추적 루프는 모의실험을 통하여 검증하였으며, 이 루프를 사용함으로써 회전 변조된 신호를 GNSS 수신기에서 추적할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • This paper presents an implementation of a real-time multi-sensor data fusion algorithm for Flight Test Computer. The sensor data consist of positional information of the target from a radar, a GPS receiver and an INS. The data fusion algorithm is designed by the 21st order distributed Kalman Filter which is based on the PVA model with sensor bias states. A fault detection and correction logics are included in the algorithm for bad measurements and sensor faults. The statistical parameters for the states are obtained from Monte Carlo simulations and covariance analysis using test tracking data. The designed filter is verified by using real data both in post processing and real-time processing.

  • In this Paper, we are implemented position awareness system based on one-pass tag. This system are combined ZigBee and RFID technology. We developed the solution to detect of user's position using position awareness receiver and repeater. This location recognition includes parked car location tracking, coming in and out car, automation of immigration control, enhanced security through emergency call, and automatic invocation elevator control and etc.

Multipath Mitigation Method Through Asymmetry Estimation of Correlation Function (상관함수의 비대칭성 추정을 통한 다중 경로 오차 제거 기법)

  • Since the muiltipath signal arrives at the GPS receiver later than the line-of-sight signal, the multipath signal makes the shape of the correlation function asymmetric. This paper proposes a multipath mitigation method through asymmetry estimation of the correlation function, in which multiple correlators are utilized. The asymmetry is estimated from correlation values of correlators which have different chip spacings. Based on the estimated asymmetry, the correlation function is modified in order to get a better code tracking performance. Even through the proposed method uses multiple correlators including the narrow correlator, the acquisition performance is not degraded since the number of search cell of the narrow correlator part can be reduced in the algorithm of the proposed method. The simulation results show that the proposed method gives better performance than the generic correlator in multipath environment.

  • Up today, nationally published research results on the methods used in HA modems have studied and shown the major methods; the ASK method and the DS/SS method. In this paper, we applied the DPSK reception method on the PSK method so that solved the acquisition and tracking problem of the signal synchronization which is the defect of PSK. Also, it has been designed to fit in the CISRP and CENELEC specification so that make sure of no effects on other part of the system.

  • Future GNSS signal using BOC modulation brings the advantages of positioning accuracy and multipath rejection. However, the BOC signal has an ambiguous autocorrelation function that complicates the process of acquisition. Three techniques that solve the ambiguous problem are BPSK-like, Sub Carrier Phase Cancellation, and Bump Jumping. In this paper, these methods are implemented by means of a DSP/FPGA board. Moreover, an experiment is conducted to examine and compare the performance of these techniques.

  • In this paper, it is analyzed propagation distribution characteristics of radio wave, which is radiated on all sides from Access Point device for estimating scheme of wireless AP without GPS receiver environment. To tracking AP device is traced from wireless terminals and wireless terminal is traced from fixed AP devices, above all it is important to analysis the characteristics of receiving power in according to distance. Therefore in this paper, radio propagation characteristics of 2.4GHz wave is analyzed effect extent and quality in according to distance in doors and out doors, and utilized to location estimation.

  • A new automatic frequency control(AFC) tracking algorithm, which we call a rotational decision directed AFC(RDDAFC) is proposed for QPSK demodulation at the digital direct broadcasting satellite(DBS). In order to prevent the presence of the residual phase difference between symbols received at k and k-l by the CPAFC[1] as well as the AFC based on $tan^{-1}$ circuit[2], the RDDAFC rotates the decision boundary for the kth received symbol by the frequency detector output of the (k-1)th received symbol before passing through the cross product discriminator. Test results show that the total pull-in time of the RDDAFC and PLL was 0.13msec under a carrier frequency offset of 2.4MHz when S/N equals 2dB.
