아스팔트 콘크리트에 적정 폐비닐 첨가량 결정에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study for Determination of Optimum Waste Vinyl Contents in Asphalt Concrete)

  • This study is a fundamental research for recycling waste vinyl (WV) in asphalt mixture for improving roadway pavement. Mix design was conducted by WV content and optimum asphalt content (OAC) was determined for dense-graded surface course mixture. Marshall stability test, indirect tensile strength (ITS) test and wheel tracking test were carried out to measure the characteristics of WV-added asphalt concretes. From the results of this study, recycling WV in asphalt mixture is possible. However, as WV content increased, melted WV clustering appeared in asphalt mixture. It could be considered that adding too much WV in asphalt mixture is not proper. The proper content of LDPE and HDPE WV was appeared to be 12% and 8%, respectively.

  • 저궤도 위성의 시스템 시험에서는 위성의 5 대역 Receiver의 적정 수신 RF 전력 영역을 확인하기 위하여 저궤도 위성의 Receiver Tracking Threshold와 Command Threshold를 측정한다. 본 논문에서는 두 Threshold 측정의 알고리듬을 살펴보고 통합 시스템 시험 (Integrated System Test)에서 수행하였던 결과를 보여준다. 그 후에 Receiver의 성능 이외 에 Threshold 측정결과에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 요소를 알아보고 그에 따른 왜곡된 값을 분석하여 보정을 수행하였다.

  • 국내 아스팔트 포장의 주요파손은 피로균열, 반사균열, 온도균열, 소성변형 등이 발생하고 있다. 이러한 아스팔트포장의 파손을 최소화하기 위해 기존의 아스팔트 포장 층에 포장섬유를 포설, 보강하는 기법이 적용될 수도 있다. 본 연구에서는 포장섬유 아스팔트 포장 시스템을 체계적으로 정립하기 위해 유리섬유 시트로 보강한 아스팔트 포장층을 대상으로 실내시험을 실시하였다. 실내시험은 포장섬유 보강 아스팔트 포장의 균열저항성과 소성변형을 평가하기 위해 휠트래킹 시험과 균열저항성 시험을 수행하여 포장섬유 아스팔트 포장의 소성변형 및 균열 저항성을 분석하였다.

  • Flight test of flapping micro air vehicles (FMAVs) is carried out using an instrumented measurement system to obtain various engineering parameters and hence to assess the flight performance of the vehicles through the data investigation. An indoor flight test facility equipped with a motion capture system and tracking cameras is used for the work presented in this paper. Maneuvers including straight-level flight, ground flapping, takeoff and landing are tested. Spatial position and orientation data are obtained from the retro-reflective tracking markers attached to the vehicles. Subsequent test analysis is carried out by generating performance parameters from raw data and then assessing the flight performance by comparison of the vehicles. The main findings of this work confirm that the test method and procedures presented here enable the systematic numerical data measurement and assessment of the flying performances of these vehicles, and show the applicability for the test and evaluation of general flapping MAVs.

자외선 가속열화에 의한 실리콘 고무의 트래킹 특성 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Tracking Characteristics of Silicone Rubber Degraded by Accelerated UV Exposure)

  • The tracking characteristics of silicone rubber degraded by accelerated outdoor exposure employing a weather-o-meter were investigated. The tracking test was performed according to ICE Publ.587 method but the concentration of conductive solution was two times higher than IEC standard in order to accelerate the tracking failure. The number of large effective scintillation and the current of high voltage circuit were measured simultaneously. It was shown that the number of effective scintillation had valuable information of the tracking degradation state of silicone rubber, while the average current between electrodes could not provide information enough for diagnosis. Based upon the experimental results, it could be said that the key factor accelerating tracking failure was not Joule heating by current but pyrolysis by burning of silicone rubber, and that reduction of contact angle was due to chain scission which resulted in the free radicals of low molecules.

  • Electrical property of polymeric insulating plays a key role in the trend of making power apparatus high voltage, and reliability and safety of apparatus in the long term depend on it. There is a recent trend of applying polymeric material to insulating material for outdoor, and particularly it is expected that it may be used partly as a pin insulator. Using as an alternate of insulating material for outdoor, however, it has still many problems to be solved in the field of material such as resistances of environment and tracking. It has been given attention to that the silicon rubbers and the epoxy have recently been used. but the the reliability in the viewpoint of material property becomes an issue. The polymeric materials such as EPDM, Epoxy and PVC have also been used as an insulating materials for outdoor. In this point of view, we studied each tracking phenomenon with test material such as rubber for pin, PVC for powercable used as an insulating material for outdoor, and Epoxy etc. The characteristics of anti tracking shows EPDM>Epoxy>PVC in order in the results. We also know that there is an close relationship between properties of tracking and thermegravimetry.

Construction of a Video Dataset for Face Tracking Benchmarking Using a Ground Truth Generation Tool

  • In the current generation of smart mobile devices, object tracking is one of the most important research topics for computer vision. Because human face tracking can be widely used for many applications, collecting a dataset of face videos is necessary for evaluating the performance of a tracker and for comparing different approaches. Unfortunately, the well-known benchmark datasets of face videos are not sufficiently diverse. As a result, it is difficult to compare the accuracy between different tracking algorithms in various conditions, namely illumination, background complexity, and subject movement. In this paper, we propose a new dataset that includes 91 face video clips that were recorded in different conditions. We also provide a semi-automatic ground-truth generation tool that can easily be used to evaluate the performance of face tracking systems. This tool helps to maintain the consistency of the definitions for the ground-truth in each frame. The resulting video data set is used to evaluate well-known approaches and test their efficiency.

  • There have been many developed systems for harnessing the solar energy such as solar water heaters, solar thermal power systems, PV systems, daylighting and solar hydrogen systems. all of them are capable of reducing $CO_2$ emission. However, the efficiency of those systems which work without a solar tracker is lower. This paper is a step by step procedure for fabrication and a performance test of a solar tracking system. The system developed in this study consists of motion controllers, motor drives, step-motors, feedback devices and application. CdS sensors are introduced into the solar tracking system for playing a primary role in poor conditions for tracking due to a gear backlash and a strong wind. Mini-dish was used as a concentrator for collecting sun light. The solar position data, in terms of azimuth and elevation, sunrise and sunset times was compared with those of KASI(Korea Astronomy & Space Science Institute). The results presented in this article provide the high accuracy of the present system in solar tracking and indicate a potential for energy savings.

화상회의 영상에서 움직이는 화자의 분할 및 추적 알고리즘 (Segmentation and Tracking Algorithm for Moving Speaker in the Video Conference Image)

  • 본 논문에서는 화상회의 영상 데이터에서 화자를 분할하고, 그 움직임을 추적하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 실시간 처리가 가능하도록 화자 분할과 움직임 추적 순으로 처리되는 알고리즘으로 단순화하였다. 분할 한계에서는 차분 방법에 의해 구한 움직임 정보와 영상의 밝기 정보를 사용하여 화자를 분할하였다. 분할된 화자로부터 기준 마스크 영상을 생성하였다. 움직임 추적 단계에서는 움직임 추적에 불필요한 블록들은 제외함으로써 빠르게 움직임을 추적할 수 있는 블록정합 알고리즘을 사용하여 추적하였다. 시뮬레이션에서 여러 시험 영상에 제안한 알고리즘을 적용하여 움직이는 화자를 분할하고, 그 움직임를 추적하는 올바른 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.
