There-have been many control strategies for the enact joint position tracking of flexible manipulators, but direct cartesian space tracking control methods an not developed well. In this paper, we propose a PD control method based on the cartesian error in the end point trajectory tracking. the proposed controller is composed of PD control combined with nonlinear saturation term hut has a very simple form. the effect of this term is continuous suppression of vibration which is induced by the coupling of rigid motion. This control works both on the regulation and on the tracking cases. The performance and validity of this control method is shown by simulation examples.

In this study, the performance of the tracking control of a pneumatic servo motor driven position control system using sliding mode is investigated. It is usually quite difficult to obtain precise tracking control of a pneumatic servo motor driven position control system because of the nonlinear deadband and stick-slip friction of the proportional valve. Therefore, a continuous sliding mode controller with velocity feedforward gain is proposed. Experimental results show that the tracking accurracy can be remarkably improved by adding a proper velocity feedforward term to continuous sliding mode controller.

This paper presents a boundary tracking control of an agent. To this end, it is shown that the boundary tracking problem can be reformulated into a robust control of uncertain double integrator first. Then, a disturbance observer (DOB) based control is proposed solving the robust control problem. Unlike the existing results in the literature, the proposed DOB based control requires only the local position measurement of the boundary (not the gradient information). The performance of the proposed control is demonstrated for two cases: the measurement of the boundary is given in a continuous or discrete manner. Finally, it is shown that the proposed control can be used for environmental monitoring as well by showing that the agent follows a level curve of real environmental monitoring data.
In this paper, the desist and the implementation of a robust adaptive controller for trajectory tracking control of the robot manipulator is presented. The proposed control scheme ensures that without any prior knowledge of the robot manipulator parameters, tracking errors are converged to some boundary in the presence of a state-dependent input disturbances as well as the ideal case. The 3 DOF robot manipulator including actuator dynamics is used for the implementation of the proposed control scheme. The experimental results show that the proposed control scheme is valid for trajectory tracking control of the robot manipulator.

This paper deals with the application of LQ control to the power curve tracking control of wind turbine. However, two more additional tasks are required to apply the LQR theory to wind turbine control. One is the tracking problem instead of regulation, because the wind turbine is controlled as variable speed and variable pitch. The other is LQ integral control., because the rotor speed should be tightly controlled without any steady state error. Starting from the analysis of wind characteristics, design requirement of a wind turbine control system is defined. A design procedure of LQ tracking with integral control is introduced. The performance of LQ tracking system is analyzed and evaluated by numeric simulation.

This paper proposes the fuzzy PI controller for maximum power point tracking(MPPT) control of photovoltaic system. The output characteristics of the solar cell are a nonlinear and affected by a temperature, the solar radiation. The MPPT control is a very important technique in order to increase an output and efficiency of the photovoltaic system. The conventional perturbation and observation(PO) and incremental conductance(IC) are the method which finding maximum power point(MPP) by the continued self-excitation vibration, and uses the fixed step size. If the fixed step size is a large, the tracking speed of maximum power point is faster, but the tracking accuracy in the steady state is decreased. On the contrary, when the fixed step size is a small, the tracking accuracy is increased and the tracking speed is slower. Therefore, this paper proposes the MPPT control using the fuzzy PI controller that can be improve a MPPT control performance. The fuzzy PI controller is adjusted a input of PI controller by fuzzy control and compensated a cumulative error of fuzzy control by PI controller. The fuzzy PI MPPT control is compared to conventional PO and IC MPPT method for various temperature and radiation condition. This paper proves the validity of the fuzzy PI controller using these results.
It is well known that the model of nuclear reactors features natural nonlinearity, and variable parameters during power tracking operation. In this paper, a disturbance observer-based adaptive sliding mode control (DOB-ASMC) strategy is proposed for power tracking of the pressurized-water reactor (PWR) in the presence of lumped disturbances. The nuclear reactor model is firstly established based on point-reactor kinetics equations with six delayed neutron groups. Then, a new sliding mode disturbance observer is designed to estimate the lumped disturbance, and its stability is discussed. On the basis of the developed DOB, an adaptive sliding mode control scheme is proposed, which is a combination of backstepping technique and integral sliding mode control approach. In addition, an adaptive law is introduced to enhance the robustness of a PWR with disturbances. The asymptotic stability of the overall control system is verified by Lyapunov stability theory. Simulation results are provided to demonstrate that the proposed DOB-ASMC strategy has better power tracking performance than conventional sliding mode controller and PID control method as well as conventional backstepping controller.

This paper discusses the trajectory tracking system of unmanned ground vehicles based on predictive control. Because the unmanned ground vehicles can not satisfactorily complete the path tracking task, highly efficient and stable trajectory control system is necessary for unmanned ground vehicle to be realized intelligent and practical. According to the characteristics of unmanned vehicle, this paper built the kinematics tracking models firstly. Then studied algorithm solution with the tools of the optimal stability analysis method and proposed a tracking control method based on the model predictive control. The controller used a kinematics-based prediction model to calculate the predictive error. This controller helps the unmanned vehicle drive along the target trajectory quickly and accurately. The designed control strategy has the true robustness, simplicity as well as generality for kinematics model of the unmanned vehicle. Furthermore, the computer Simulink/Carsim results verified the validity of the proposed control method.

A lot of robot trajectory tracking methods are proposed to enhance the tracking error, but irregular tracking errors are always accompanied and very hard to reduce it. Up to now, these irregular tracking errors are reduced by introducing more complicated control algorithms. But, it is intuitively obvious to reduce only the big errors selectively in the irregular ones for the better performance instead of using more complicated control algorithms. By the characteristics of the robot, big tracking errors of the end-effector are generated mostly due to the fast moving of joint. So, in this paper, we introduce a new method which reduce the big tracking errors by clippings the joint velocity with the constraint of given path. Using this method, desired trajectory tracking is obtained within the far reduced error bound. Also, this method is successfully applied to generate the path-constrained error reducing trajectories for 2-axis SCARA type robot.
