소비자 체험조사를 통한 타월 만족도 분석 연구 (Towel Experience and Consumer Satisfaction)

  • This study examined 12 types of towels with differing fabric material, function, quality, printing, pile length, twist, etc. from a towel company which manufactures and distributes products domestically. After 3 months of use by consumers, a consumer satisfaction survey was administered and results analyzed. Four types of towels were assigned to each group and the towels were used every day for 3 months. Participant feelings after using the towel for the first time and after using it for three months were investigated. The questionnaire consisted of 26 questions on a 5-point Licket-type scale. The first 13 questions measured perceptions of absorption, touch, fine fiber loss, contamination, deformation, drying speed, and design. Other questions compared differences between the two towel types in terms of their material, function, quality, printing, pile length, and degree of twisting. Results showed that, with regards to weight, consumers preferred towels between 130~150g and a thickness of around 1.7~1.8mm. The bamboo towel was considered superior to the cotton towel in terms of sense of touch and did not happen linter after washing. The antibacterial towel was considered better than the cotton towel in terms of absorption but in terms of contamination, participants felt the antibacterial towel became dirty more easily than the cotton towel. We thought that it might be influence of the color of towel. Low-quality towels became stiffer and misshapen more easily than higher-quality towels. But the study showed that the consumers did not perceive significant differences in the towels' quality. Printed towels became thinner and their color changed more with washing. The consumers preferred the design of jacquard towels to printed towels. Towels with short piles was happened more linter than the towel with long pile after washing. Non-twisted towel were better than the highly-twisted towel in terms of sense of touch and absorption but the non-twisted towel happened more linter after washing and became dirty more easily.

면-모달-키토산 혼방타월의 쑥에 대한 염색성과 기능성 (Dyeing and Functional Properties of Cotton-Modal-Chitosan Blended Towel Fabric Dyed with Mugwort Colorants)

  • The objective of this study is to develop eco-friendly, functional towel material utilizing cotton-Modal-chitosan blended(C-M-CH) yarn and natural dyeing with mugwort colorants. Dyeing properties of towels with mugwort colorants were studied by investigating the effect of dyeing conditions including concentration of mugwort colorants, dyeing temperature, and dyeing time, and the effects of mordants on dye uptakes were investigated. The C-M-CH towel showed better dye uptake than 100% cotton towel with mugwort colorants. The shade of towels got darker and red-yellowish tint increased by mordanting. Comparing with 100% cotton towel, the colorfastness of dyed C-M-CH towel was satisfactory showing above 3 grade which is the lowest grade to washing fastness. The antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and deodorization performance of towels were excellent and improved by dyeing with mugwort colorants. From the results obtained, it is concluded that the cotton-Modal-chitosan blended towel dyed with mugwort colorants can be used practically for an eco-friendly and multi-functional towel materials with excellent absorbance and drying properties.

  • Recently towel cloth has a good prospect as sports wear and out fashion wear. So we will discuss correlational effects between towel cloth quality and it's physical properties. In order to investigate the effect of pile length on the stiffness and absorption of the towel cloth, some experiments have been carried out, and then analyzed by the correlation coefficient.

화재 시 젖은 수건의 유독가스 필터 효과에 관한 연구 (Study on the Effect of Toxic Gas Filter Effect of Wet Towel during Fire)

  • 화재로 인한 피해는 열상에 의한 피해보다는 연소 독성에 의한 피해가 치명적이며, 인명피해를 줄이기 위해 화재 상황에서 젖은 수건을 사용하여 화재로부터 발생되는 독성가스를 방호하도록 권장하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 젖은 수건을 통해 실제 화재에서 발생되는 가스를 대상으로 필터링 효과를 정량화하였다. 화재가스 중 세 가지 가스($CO_2$, HCl, HCN)를 대상으로 젖은 수건의 필터효과를 확인하기 위해 FT-IR을 이용하여 필터를 통과한 가스를 실시간 분석을 하였으며, 물에 잘 녹지 않는 $CO_2$에 비해 유독가스이며, 수용성 가스인 HCl, HCN은 젖은 수건에 의해 가스가 필터링 되면서 가스 검출 시점이 지연됨을 확인하였다. 따라서 실제 화재 시 독성가스 중 특히 수용성 가스의 경우 젖은 수건을 이용하게 되면 일정 시간 피난 시간을 확보할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Application of Hand Towel Drape over Dingman Mouth Gag

  • In cleft palate surgery, the environment is especially critical when suturing. Encum-bered, obstructive space in the environment can hinder a suture while using the Dingman mouth gag. We introduced a novel but simple draping technique. A simple hand towel is placed over the gag. A hole is cut out in the middle according to each patient's mouth. After making the hole, the hand towel is soaked in water and gently squeezed. Then the towel is properly placed over the Dingman mouth gag. Dripping water on the hand towel during the suture helps keep it in place. Using this draping technique, we cut 14 minutes of operation time compared to the average operation time of the past 2 years. There were several disadvantages in previous draping method. First, long suture material may easily get caught. Second, the operation field can easily be contaminated. Third, focusing on the operation becomes difficult due to the obstruction. This draping technique can compensate for the disadvantages of the previous Dingman mouth gag.

대전.충청권 타올 산업 연계의 공간적 특성과 정책적 함의 (Spatial Features of the Linkages Developed in the Towel Industry in the Daejeon and Chungcheong Regions and their Implications on Government Policy)

  • 본 연구는 타올 산업이 집적한 대전 충청권을 사례로, 타올 산업 집적지의 형성 과정을 산업 재구조화를 중심으로 고찰하고, 타올 산업 생산 연계의 공간적 특성을 하청 연계를 중심으로 파악하며, 이러한 타올 산업 하청 연계의 공간적 특성이 관련 정책에 주는 함의를 규명하고자 했다. 이 지역에서 타올 산업이 성장하기 시작한 것은, 한국 전쟁 이후 북한 출신 직물 기술자들이 정착하면서 관련 기술과 정보가 지역 내에 확산되었기 때문이다. 이후 타올 산업은 1980년대에 재구조화를 거치면서 사회적 분업에 의한 기업별 전문화를 통해, 지역 내 기업 간 긴밀한 연계를 형성하게 되었다. 따라서 타올산업 지역에 대한 정책을 추진하는 경우에는, 산업 자체의 특성은 물론, 이와 같은 산업 연계와 연계 공간에 대한 고려가 선행되어야 할 것이다.

세면용 타월의 파일섬유 종류와 세탁에 따른 주관적 감각과 촉감 선호도 (Subjective Sensation and Tactile Preference of Face Towel Fabrics by Pile Fiber Type and Laundering Time)

  • 본 연구는 소비자의 선호 촉감을 고려한 세면용 타월 개발에 도움을 주고자 수행되었다. 타월의 바탕조직은 동일하지만(면섬유), 파일을 구성하는 섬유의 종류가 서로 다른 3종(면 100%, 면 50% / 대나무 50%, 대나무 100%)을 시료로 선정하였다. 타월을 표준 세탁조건으로 반복세탁을 실시하였으며, 10회 세탁한 타월에 대하여 섬유유연제를 처리하여, 세탁에 따른 유연성과 흡수성(흡수속도와 흡수율) 등의 성능 변화를 고찰하고 대학생 남녀 소비자를 대상으로 주관적 감각과 촉감 선호도를 평가시켰다. 세탁횟수와 파일섬유의 종류에 따라 타월의 유연성은 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 타월의 흡수성은 세탁에 따른 파일섬유의 종류에 따라 유의한 차이를 보여, 흡수속도는 대나무섬유 100%로 된 타월에서 높았으나, 흡수율은 면섬유로 된 타월이 높았다. 세탁 전 타월의 파일섬유 종류에 따른 주관적 감각 평가는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 세탁이 반복될수록 파일섬유의 종류에 따른 주관적 감각은 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 섬유유연제 처리시 더 부드럽고 매끄러우며 촉촉해진다고 평가하였다. 세탁 전 타월에 대한 촉감 선호도는 선호하는 편이었으나, 파일섬유종류에 따른 유의한 차이는 없었다. 세탁횟수가 증가함에 따라 타월에 대한 촉감 선호도는 다소 저하되었으며, 대나무섬유로 된 타월의 촉감을 가장 선호하였다. 타월의 촉감 선호도에는 평활감, 유연감 등의 주관적 감각과 섬유유연제 처리가 영향을 주었다.

손 씻기 후 손 건조방법에 따른 세균 제거 효과 비교 (Comparison of Desiccation Methods after Hand Washing for Removing Bacteria)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze effects of hand drying methods after hand-washing. Hand drying methods consisted of spontaneous evaporation, paper towel, hand dryer with rubbing, and hand dryer without rubbing. Methods: The research design was a crossover design. The subjects were eighteen university students and randomly assigned in four group. Each group had the schedule of treatment. The schedule tested one drying method per a day and proceeded for 4 days. The data collection was performed from July 27 to July 30, 2010. Data were analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis, Mann-Whitney and Wilcoxon test. Results: There was significant difference between the after CFU between natural dry, paper towel, air dryer with hand rubbing, and air dryer without hand rubbing(p=.006). The after CFUs of paper towel, natural dry and air dryer without hand rubbing groups were statistically less than air dryer with hand rubbing group. Conclusion: It was shown that the paper towel, spontaneous evaporation and without rubbing hand dryer are effective hand drying interventions on reducing CFU on hand. However additional researches with large sample and strict methodology are needed.

행주 내 식품위해미생물에 대한 쌀뜨물 발효액의 살균 효과 (Antibacterial Effect of Fermented Rice Water against Food-borne Bacteria in Kitchen Towel)

  • 본 연구는 현재 유통 판매되고 있는 쌀뜨물 발효액 라이젠의 살균소독력을 평가하기 위해 최적 조건 탐색 연구 및 오염된 행주에 대한 일반적인 세척 및 소독제들과의 살균력 비교 실험을 실시하였다. 라이젠은 2 또는 3배 희석 용액에서 2시간 처리하였을 때 $2.65\;log_{10}cfu/g$의 E. coli를 감소시켜 가장 우수한 효과를 나타내었다. 또한 라이젠 농축액의 경우 원액과 2배 희석한 용액에서 각각 2, 5시간 처리하였을 때 완전 살균효과를 나타내었다. 반면 $3{\sim}5$배 희석한 용액은 24시간 동안 처리해야만 완전 살균이 가능하였다. 행주에 오염된 E. coli에 대한 라이젠 및 농축액의 살균소독력을 비교 평가하기 위해 무처리, 물세척, 합성세제(15 ppm), 차아염소산나트륨(200 ppm)으로 처리한 결과 행주 내 잔여 균수가 각각 5.05, 4.32, 3.70, $3.02\;log_{10}cfu/g$로 나타난 반면 라이젠 2, 3배 희석액, 농축액 원액, 2배 희석액은 각각 2.30, 2.43, 0, $1.88\;log_{10}cfu/g$로 나타나 라이젠은 생균제로서 우수한 살균소독 효과를 보여주었다. 또한 행주에 오염된 S. Typhimurium을 대상으로 살균 실험을 실시한 결과 E. coli의 결과와 유사한 결과를 보여주었다. 행주 내 잔여 균수는 무처리에서 4.80, 물세척 처리에서 4.12, 합성세제 처리에서 3.58, 차아염소산나트륨 처리에서 $2.81\;log_{10}cfu/g$로 나타났다. 라이젠 2, 3배 희석액 및 농축액 2배 희석액은 2.03, 2.14, $1.59\;log_{10}cfu/g$로 나타났으며 농축액 원액은 완전 살균효과를 보여주었다. 본 연구 결과 쌀뜨물 발효액은 생균제로서 행주내 대장균, 살모넬라 등 식품위해미생물 제거를 위한 살균제로서 효과가 우수하였다.

타월용 시판소재의 촉감과 역학적 특성 (Tactility and Mechanical Properties of Marketing Towel)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between the tactile sensation and mechanical properties of towel. Six kinds of towels with different surface structure and fiber composition were used for this study. To evaluate the tactility of towel, 36 adjectives were collected and then 11 adjectives were selected. The subjective evaluation was examined by one to one comparative method and by blind test for estimating the only the sense of touch of the towels. Kawabata's Evaluation system for fabrics was used to measure the mechanical properties which are tensile, bending, shear, compression, surface, weight, and thickness of six towels. The results are as follows; First, surface structure of the towels had an effect on estimation the sense of touch. Pile surface was evaluated thicker, compacter, more cushiony, and more elastic. Waffle surface was evaluated knottier and rougher, and microfiber suede surface was evaluated softer and denser. Second, the highest value of the mechanical properties measured were G, 2HG, B, and SMD of 100% cotton 100% pile, WC, T, and W of elban loop pile, WT, 2HB, and LC of 100% cotton cut pile, RT and MIU of microfiber suede, and RC of microfiber waffle. Third, the 11 adjectives were correlated with more than one mechanical property. 'Knotty' and 'rough' were correlated with MMD and SMD, 'soft' were correlated with B, 2HB, MMD, and SMD. 'Thick', 'heavy', 'compact', and 'elastic' were correlated with WC, T, and W, 'cushiony' was correlated with WC. 'Stiff' was correlated with B and 2HB, 'dry out' was correlated with RT, WC, MIU, and T. 'Dense' was correlated with RT and SMD.
