  • The study's goal is to determine how factors affecting tourism resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic affect Ho Chi Minh Tourism's ability to respond to changes and disruptions. The model and research hypotheses were tested using Multiple Regression Analysis Models. The statistical findings showed that the tourism resilience components have a significant influence on the tourism resilience in Ho Chi Minh city. The analyses revealed that tourism resilience consisted of four latent dimensions. There are 4 explanatory variables with a significance coefficient < 0.05. Therefore, the variables Economic resilience, Ecological resilience, Institutional resilience, and Social resilience all have a significant impact on tourist resilience, which is consistent with Jamaliah and Powell (2017). The findings have important managerial implications for local governments, as well as factors that contribute to tourism resilience, as they must attempt to adapt to changes and turbulences during a pandemic, ensuring that the tourism system rebounds in the future. The four components of tourist resilience are defined in the theoretical contribution. The findings of the study could serve as a starting point for developing future tourist resilience strategies. Because the application of tourist resilience theory is still relatively new, this study presents two theoretical and methodological contributions.

  • The progress of information technology triggered the rapid progress of tourism industry and the industry has now grown to be the biggest and the highest value added producing industry. Tourism industry is characterized by its high information dependency and is subject to the frequent changes of schedule. Therefore, dynamic cooperations between the service provider and the service agent is essential. One of the latest trend in information technology is the popular adoption of XML as the standard means of document exchange in the internet environment. This paper proposes a supply chain management system which enhances the productivity and customer satisfaction in the tourism industry by exploiting the exchange of information in XML among the tourism society, which consists of the producer, the agents, and the consumer. This Paper is especially addressed to the applicability of e-SCM for the productivity enhancement in the tourism industry, which is known as the leading service industry in the internet environment.

  • Although Geographic Information Systems (GISs) have commonly been employed as powerful tools for manipulating and displaying spatial data in community-based tourism, a variety of GIS functions still lack the capabilities required to assist multiple decision makers to come to consensual decisions. In this study, I propose an alternative approach: spatial multicriteria decision analysis (SMCDA) that could reflect diverse decision makers' preferences by integrating GISs and multicriteria decision analysis (MCDA). I review the small number of case studies that have employed SMCDA, with a focus on the roles of GISs and MCDA. The methodological integration of GISs and MCDA into multi-spatial decision support systems offers the potential to implement participatory decision-making to solve complex spatial problems in community-based tourism planning, development, and management.

  • This research is situated at the intersection between industry 4.0, circular economy and tourism, in an attempt to observe the fourth industrial revolution at the service of the application of circular economy principles in the tourism industry. This approach has gained importance due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has accelerated fundamental dynamics of change linked to business digitization and environmental sustainability. Within the theoretical framework delimited by the aforementioned intersection, the 'goCircular Radar' project, launched by 'TheCircularLab', from Ecoembes (Spain), has been taken as an empirical reference. Among the 165 startups in the circular economy sector, special attention has been paid to those that are oriented, or have a potential application, to tourism. The activities they carry out are described, with particular attention to the technologies they use and their contribution to circularity.

  • Many of legislations related to tourism has been made up to now since the year 1961 when modern tourism studies started. In restropect of the year 1988, the year 2002 is expected to be another chance for tourism. In order to take this chance again, new laws and regulations are necessary. Therefore, the object of this study are decided as follows: 1) to put 'the right to go sightseeing' in statutory form at constitution. 2) to realise the private law of tourism 3) to make the environment law of tourism 4) to make the facility law of tourism 5) to make the transportation law of tourism 6) to make the cultural property law of tourism 7) to make the food law of tourism 8) to make the related law of tourism 9) to make the advertising law of tourism, the tax law of tourism, and the economy law of tourism As tourism laws like above exist, tourism industry would be developed more than now.

An analysis of three actual cases of Japan led to following results. First, life-type tourist destinations can be developed in connection with making local areas based on their special themes, can be developed in relation to their life cultures based on their peculiar life cultures and can be developed in creative forms using characteristic environment and organizational culture of those areas. In pursuing life-type tourist attractions, it will be possible to make practical development using it with those three basic models. Second, it is important to form a flow covering the entire regions based on their own special themes, to build cyclical structure of regions and tourism and tourism and industries and to create overall conditions that can help local residents get benefits and join together, in order to develop such life-type tourist destinations. Development of life-type resort tourist destinations needs roles of practical organizations that can effectively manage them, but such organizations should be dynamic and should be distant from management of money as much as possible.

This paper is based on the perspective of tourist satisfaction and takes rural tourism in southern Jiangsu, China as the research object. Starting from the current situation of rural tourism development in southern Jiangsu, it elaborates on the current situation of rural tourism development in southern Jiangsu. Research design, data and methodology: Through literature analysis, it is concluded that the factors that affect tourist satisfaction are divided into four major aspects: personal factors, perceived effect factors, destination experience factors, and social factors. Design a survey questionnaire from four aspects: diversity, safety, convenience, agreeableness, and draw conclusions through data analysis. Results: From the four dimensions of the survey, tourists pay more attention to the diversity, agreeableness, and convenience of rural tourism products. This requires increasing the development of tourism products and improving the richness and diversity of rural tourism products. Conclusions: Therefore, optimization measures such as continuously implementing local rural cultural construction, establishing brand effects, and increasing policy support have been proposed.
