공업용수배관의 캐비테이션-침식특성에 관한 연구 ( 1 ) ( Study on the Charactistics of Cavitation Erosion for Industrial Water Piping ( 1 ) )

  • Recently, with the rapid development in the industries such as an iron mill and chemical plants, there is enlarged by the use of the piping. Sepecially, the piping connected with a fluid, if it is increase the speed of running fluid, ought to generate cavitation phenomenon with unbalanced pressure. So, the cavitation phenomenon cause serious damage of the piping, because it generate erosion and corrosion in the piping. In this study, the steel pipe piping water (SPPW) and SPPW on weldment were tested by using of cavitation-erosion test apparatus with nozzle and were investigated under the marine environment of liquid. (specific resistance : 25 $Omega$. cm) The main results obtained are as follows : 1) The total weight loss and weight loss rate of affected zone of weldment by corrosion-erosion in the sea water are more increased than that of base metal. 2) The electrode potential by corrosion-erosion in the sea water becomes less noble than that of base metal, and current density is more increased. 3) As time goes by, the total weight loss and weight loss rate by cavitation erosion-corrosion in air-liquid 2 phase flow become more increased then those in only liquid solution. but these values turn to be decreased.

소음유발 청력손실과 소음폭로에 대한 연구 (The analysis of the relation between noise induced hearing loss and noise exposure)

  • 본 연구에서는 A청감보정 소음레벨과 폭로기간에 대한 소음유발 청력손실과 소음폭로 사이의 관계를 해석하였다. 연령과 소음폭로등 다양한 변수에 대하여 청력손실과 청감민감도 변화를 조사하였다. 연구결과 전체 청력손실은 음압의 시간적분에 의한 소음폭로 레벨에 비례하였다. 만약 소음폭로가 노인성 난청보다 크면 연령과 소음에 의해 발생하는 청력손실은 주된 원인이 소음에 의한 것임을 확인하였다. 과도한 소음은 일시적 청력손실의 원인이며, 폭로가 길어지거나 강력하면 영구적 청력손실의 원인이 될 수 있다. 소음유발 청력손실을 겪는 사람의 청력도는 4kHz 영역에서 청감민감도의 급격한 손실을 보여주며, 이 영역은 여러 형태의 산업소음으로 인해 가장 손상받기 쉬운 전형적인 주파수영역임을 확인하였다.

반응표면법을 이용한 램제트 엔진 흡입구 설계인자 최적화 (Optimal Shape of a Ramjet Intake by using a Response Surface Method)

  • 전압력 회복률을 극대화시키기 위하여 램제트 엔진 흡입구 최적형상이 수치적으로 조사되었다. 각 설계인자의 설계영역에 대해 성능을 근사적으로 예측하기 위하여 반응표면법을 도입하였다. 설계인자로는 첫 번째 램프각, 목직경, 그리고 디퓨져 확대각이 선택되었다. 얻어진 반응표면의 신뢰성 검증을 위해서 ANOVA가 사용되었다. 얻어진 최적모델의 전압력 회복률은 기준모델에 비해 36% 향상되었다. 또한 디퓨져에서의 점성손실은 5% 미만인 것으로 조사되었다.

$CO_2$ 사이클용 로타리 베인 팽창기 성능해석 (Performance Analysis of Vane Rotary Expander for $CO_2$ Cycles)

  • Relatively low cycle performance of a conventional $CO_2$ system is partly due to significant increase in friction loss in the expansion process, since the pressure drop across the expansion device is considerably large compared to a conventional refrigeration cycle. To recover friction loss and increase refrigeration effect by providing isentropic expansion, a rotary vane type expander has been designed. Performance of the designed expander has been investigated by numerical simulation. With the pressure condition of 9 MPa/4.5 MPa and inlet temperature of $35^{\circ}C$, volumetric, isentropic, and mechanical efficiencies of the expander are calculated to be 58.1%, 101.1%, and 78.8%, respectively, resulting in total expander efficiency of 46.3%. With this expander, COP of a $CO_2$ refrigeration cycle is estimated to be improved by about 14%.

  • The Mass production of ceramic heater has encountered with the estimation for the proper parameters of the printing conditions. This paper presents a method to estimate the squeegee pressure. It uses resistance distribution from the trial run with approximate squeegee pressure which comes from statistical process control (SPC). Then, the resistance distribution and its total resistance are input to the backpropagation neural networks that can recognize resistance's distribution patterns. The value of output network derived from the input value can identify to the appropriate squeegee pressure. The experimental results are demonstrated In ensure the efficiency and the reliability of this method with the accuracy 96.75 percent. Indeed, embedded on this method will aid us to reduce the loss from the normal mass production.

3차원 천음속 원심압축기 디퓨저 성능연구 (Performance Analysis of Three-Dimensional Transonic Centrifugal Compressor Diffuser)

  • CSCM upwind flux difference splitting compressible Navier-Stokes method has been used to predict the transonic flows in a centrifugal compressor diffuser. The modified cyclic. TDMA and the mass flux boundary conditions were used as boundary conditions of the diffuser analysis. Broad flow separation on the suction surface near the hub and shroud was observed from the results of the mass flow rates 5.8, 6.0 and 6.2kg/s at 27000 rpm. The three-dimensional flow analysis predicted successfully that the static pressure increased and the total pressure decreased through the flow passage of the channel diffuser when compared to two-dimensional analysis due to the strong effect of the three-dimensional flow. The mass averaged loss coefficients and pressure coefficients were also studied.

  • A pressure drop model for the PWR grids with and without mixing device is proposed at single phase based on the fluid mechanistic approach. Total pressure loss is expressed in additive way for form and frictional losses. The general friction factor correlations and form drag coefficients available in the open literatures are used to the model. As the results, the model shows better predictions than the existing ones for the non-mixing grids, and reasonable agreements with the available experimental data for mixing grids. Therefore it is concluded that the proposed model for pressure drop can provide sufficiently good approximation for grid optimization and design calculation in advanced grid development.

하이브리드탄의 항력 및 유동해석 (A Drag and Flow Characteristics around the Hybrid Projectile)

  • Three dimensional, compressible, mass weighted averaging of Favre, Navier-Stokes system with k-$\varepsilon$ turbulence, is numerically discretized to compute three dimensional multiple jet interaction flow fields for a hybrid projectile containing three rocket motors in the ogive section. Numerical flow field computations have been made for angled nose jets and rockets at supersonic speed using multiblock structured grid. The jet conditions include very high jet to free stream pressure ratio and high temperature. It is shown that the strength of nozzle stagnation pressure affects the flow field near the side nozzle and the high stagnation pressure increases total amount of drag by a few percent. However, minor drag loss due to the pressure drag might be fully overcomed by an additional axial thrust. The results of present study can be applied for the design of future hybrid projectile.

  • Supersonic ejectors are simple mechanical components, which generally perform mixing and recompression of two fluid streams. Ejectors have found many applications in engineering. In aerospace engineering, they are used for high altitude testing (HAT) of a propulsion system by reducing the pressure of a test chamber. It is composed of three major sections: a vacuum test chamber, a propulsive nozzle, and a supersonic exhaust diffuser (SED). This paper aims at the improvement in HAT facility by focusing attention on the vertical firing rocket test stand with shock generators. Shock generators are mounted inside the SED for improving the pressure recovery. The results clearly showed that the performance of the ejector-diffuser system was improved with the addition of shock generators. The improvement comes in the form of reduction of the starting pressure ratio and the vertical height of test stand. It is also shown that shock generators are useful in reducing the total pressure loss in the SED.
