The analysis of materials from the survey was done by SPSS program(ver. 12.0) using frequency analysis, $x^2$-test and cross tabulation analysis specified on high significant values. Based on the above results of $x^2$-test and cross tabulation analysis, categorized the characteristics of the hair fashion feeling groups, especially hair colours in the order of percentage. This study would be very helpful to the people trying to change their own hair fashion feeling and be useful to the cosmetic circles for developing new hair colour design and promoting sales by comprehending hair colour market and also be valuable to develop the analysis methodology of hair colour and hair fashion trend.

Initially, curricular data of Korean universities were collected through the internet, telephone calls and e-mails from March to May, 2006. The data was then modified in August, 2009. Data from American universities were only collected through the internet from January to March, 2009. The name of the department, total credits opened, credits opened for each area and so on, were analyzed using descriptive statistics. There were 20 national universities and 61 private universities with fashion related departments in Korea, while 87 public universities and 21 private universities in the USA. The name of'Fashion Design' in the departments was prevalent in 40 universities in Korea. On the contrary,'Fashion Marketing' was the most dominant name in 31 universities in the USA. Ninety percent of the universities in Korea opened over eighty to ninety total credits, but 83% of American universities opened under eighty to ninety total credits. Most universities in Korea opened many credits for construction, design/ aesthetics, marketing and textile areas more than those in the USA.

The results of this study were as follows: 1. College students used web sites mostly to search for fashion trend information from magazine and fashion information sites. 2. While the media site was excellent in the evaluation criteria such as the accuracy/reliability, the design of a picture and the communication/security, the fashion information site was excellent in the evaluation criteria such as the accuracy/reliability, communication/ security and additional services. 3. The media site and the fashion information site generally ranked high and the fashion brand site ranked low in most evaluation items. 4. By the results of ANOVA, 12 items showed significant differences out of the total 19 items. 5. Out of the total evaluation items, the design of a picture ranked highest and the external link function ranked lowest.
In today's intensifying global competition, Korean fashion industry is relying on only qualitative data for feasibility study of future projects and developmental plan. This study was conducted in order to support establishment of a scientific and rational management system that reflects market demand. First, fashion market size was limited to the total amount of expenditure for fashion clothing products directly purchased by Koreans for wear during 6 months in spring and summer and 6 months in autumn and winter. Fashion market forecasting model was developed using statistical forecasting method proposed by previous research. Specifically, time series model was selected, which is a verified statistical forecasting method that can predict future demand when data from the past is available. The time series for empirical analysis was fashion market sizes for 8 segmented markets at 22 time points, obtained twice each year by the author from 1998 to 2008. Targets of the demand forecasting model were 21 research models: total of 7 markets (excluding outerwear market which is sensitive to seasonal index), including 6 segmented markets (men's formal wear, women's formal wear, casual wear, sportswear, underwear, and children's wear) and the total market, and these markets were divided in time into the first half, the second half, and the whole year. To develop demand forecasting model, time series of the 21 research targets were used to develop univariate time series models using 9 types of exponential smoothing methods. The forecasting models predicted the demands in most fashion markets to grow, but demand for women's formal wear market was forecasted to decrease. Decrease in demand for women's formal wear market has been pronounced since 2002 when casualization of fashion market intensified, and this trend was analyzed to continue affecting the demand in the future.
The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the perception of retro fashion and new-tro fashion using big data. TEXTOM allowed the collection of big data on the words 'retro fashion' and 'new-tro fashion', which was refined afterwards. As for the data collection period, Jan. 1, 2019 to Nov. 30, 2022 was set. A top 50 list of words were extracted from this data based on appearance frequency. The extracted words were processed through Network centrality analysis and CONCOR analysis using Ucinet 6. The results are as follows. 1) In retro fashion, the appearance frequency of 'style' was the highest, followed by 'sensibility', 'color', 'trend', 'fashion', and 'brand'. These words came up with high TF-IDF values. Network centrality analysis discovered that 'color', 'style', 'trend', 'sensibility', and 'design' had high level of connectivity with other words. CONCOR analysis showed a total of four significant groups; trends, styles, looks, and photos. 2) In new-tro fashion, the appearance frequency of 'retro' was the highest, followed by 'trend', 'generation', 'style', 'brand', and 'fashion'. These words also came up with high TF-IDF values. Network centrality analysis found that 'retro', 'trend', 'generation', and 'brand' had high level of connectivity with other words. CONCOR analysis showed a total of four significant groups; style, brand, clothing, and trend. 3) New-tro fashion is included in retro fashion in that it reproduces the styles of the past. However, it is taken completely differently from generation to generation. Unlike the older generations, millennials actively accept newly created clothes and brands based on the past styles. They perceive it as a fashion that reveals their own unique tastes and tastes.
The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between clothing involvement and fashion leadership of fashion models and college women. For this study, 113 fashion models and 265 female college students were analyzed. Factor analysis, Correlation, t-test and Regression analysis were used in data analyses. Three clothing involvement factors had highly positive relations with total clothing involvement. Interest, pleasure and fashionability factors were related with each other: Fashionability and interest factors had an effect on fashion opinion-leadership and fashion innovation. Significant differences were found between fashion models and female college students in regard to clothing involvement and fashion leadership. Fashion models and female college students differed significantly in clothing interest and fashionability. Fashion models and female college students differed significantly in fashion opinion-leadership and fashion innovation. Throughout the rich human history, patterns have developed as a symbolic sign and representation of the inner psychology of human beings. Thanks to its intrinsic beauty and emotional richness, the flower has been utilized as a one of the major materials for patterns used in everyday life and art. As a product of nature, floral patterns have played a key role in fashion trends as a Surface Design with other elements of fashion design such as silhouette, fabric and color. Therefore, this research sought to identify the trends of floral patterns of women's garments that appeared at the four major global fashion collections (Paris, Milano, New York and London), and to analyze how importantly the fashion magazines' prediction were applied in the actual collections. Furthermore, the research aimed to suggest possible methods to utilize trend magazines for collections in the future. As a main research method, the authors investigated professional fashion literature and internet websites to extract a total of 4,681 items presented by sixteen designers who participated in the four major global fashion collections each time during the period of the 2012 S/S~2017 S/S seasons. First View Korea and Samsung Design Net were used as major sources for the pattern extraction and analysis. According to the analysis, floral patterns account for 31%(1,454 items) among the total number of patterns appearing in the four major global fashion collections(4,681 items). For the reflection ratio, Samsung Design Net recorded a 4% higher ratio(52%) than First View Korea(48%). Based on the data and analysis of this research, the authors expect that floral patterns in various forms will be continuously presented in fashion collections, and conclude that utilizing fashion magazines is highly useful due to their appropriate predictions.
