  • This study was conducted to investigate experimentally the basic characteristics of the torque of the cutterbar driving shaft as the double-knife was used instead of the conventional standard single-knife type. A new design for inclined setting of the cutterbar relative to the direction perpendicular to combine harvester movement was investigated to test a possible reduction of concentrated load caused by the simultaneous cutting of many rows. It was evaluated that the maximum torque and mean total power of the driving shaft due to the cutting resistance of the rice straw were largely depended upon the rotational shaft-speed and straw feeding rate, but were resepectively 1.1~2.3 and 1.15~1.34 times higher compared to those while idling. It was also proved that the inclined setting of the cutterbar could save a considerable amount of energy required for its driving shaft.

Improved Suter Transform for Pump-Turbine Characteristics

  • Standard dimensionless parameters cannot simultaneously represent all operation modes of a pump-turbine. They either have singularities at E=0 and multiple values in the 'unstable' areas, or else get singular at n=0. P. Suter (1966) introduced an alternative set of variables which avoids singularity and always remains unique-valued. This works for non-regulated pumps but not so well for regulated machines. A modification by C.S. Martin avoids distortion at low load. The present paper describes further improvements for the representation of torque, and for closed gate (where Suter's concept does not work). The possibility to interpolate across all operation modes is likewise useful for representing other mechanical parameters of the machine. Practical application for guide vane torque and pressure pulsation data is demonstrated by examples.

트랙터 전동라인의 전동효율 특성 분석 (Characteristics of Power Efficiency of Tractor Driveline)

  • According to the field test, the transient power transmission efficiency of a tractor driveline fluctuated in a range of 56 to 86% and the mean value was about 72.5%. Therefore, the constant efficiency model commonly used for a simulation of power performance was not proper far predicting such a variable of efficiency. In order to predict power efficiency more accurately, new concepts of the maximum efficiency and drag torque were introduced and a new model based on the these concepts was proposed. The difference between measured and model-predicted efficiencies was about 1.5% in average with a standard deviation of 1.1%. The new power efficiency model was expected to enhance the accuracy of predicting power transmission efficiencies of tractor drivelines.

  • An experimental study has been conducted for the three-dimensional in-cylinder swirl flow under steady conditions. Velocity fields are measured by using an LDV at various valve lifts. Effects of geometry of inlet ports on swirl flows are investigated for standard and helical ports. Swirl distributions evaluated from velocity measurements are compared with those obtained from an impulse torque swirl meter. Results show that the helical port generates more intensive swirl than the standard one but it causes red- uction in air flow coefficient. At the lower valve lift, no significant difference is observ- ed in non-dimensional swirl values between two ports because of limited pre-swirl effect, while it becomes significant as the valve lift increases.

무증자 전분당화용 분쇄마찰매체 함유 효소반응기의 조작조건과 동력소모의 검토 (Evaluation of Operational Conditions and Power Consumption of a Bioattritor for Enzymatic Saccharification of Uncooked Starch)

  • 전분질을 당화시킬 때 유리구와 같은 분쇄마찰매체 (attrition-milling media)를 첨가하여 교반함으로써 생전분질 -효소 현탄액에 분쇄마찰효과를 주어 전분입자를 구조적으로 변화시켜 당화를 현저히 촉진시키는 적절한 무증자 당화법을 연구해오고 있다. 본 연구는 전분질의 무증자 당화에 적합한 고효율 및 저에너지 소모형 분쇄마찰매체 함유 효소반응기의 개발을 목포로, impeller를 갖춘 agitated bead type bloattritor를 설계 제작하여 그 효용성을 검토하였다. 무증자 옥수수전분을 기질로 당화에 적합한 bioattritor의 최적 조작조건을 검토하였고, 일정한 탄성계수를 지닌 spiral spring coil을 내장한 torque 측정장치를 개발하여 부하되는 torque 및 분쇄마찰 매체의 교반에 소요되는 energy를 측정하였고 중요 변수의 영향을 검토하였다. 또한 energy 소모와 생 전분의 효소당화 촉진효과와의 상관관계를 규명하였으며, bioattritor의 경제성을 전망하였다. 전분질의 최적 당화조건에서 분쇄마찰매체의 교반에 소요되는 동력은 1.53watt/ι로서 매우 적었다. 분쇄마찰매체 함유 효소반응계는 에너지 절약형 공정으로 사료되며, 이를 이용한 무증자 전분 효소당화공정의 산업적 활용 전망이 예상된다.

무지외반이 족관절 저굴근과 배굴근의 우력에 미치는 영향 (The effects of hallux valgus on ankle plantarflexor and dorsiflexor torque)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of hallux valgus on the ankle plantarflexor and dorsiflexor peak torque, on the total work, on the average power, and on the Peak torque of plantarflexor to dorsiflexor ratio values. Isokinetic ankle plantarflexor and dorsiflexor strength was evaluated in 30 women(control: 15, hallux valgus: 15) by Cybex NORM System. Test data was gathered in the right ankle at a speed of 60/sec, 90/sec, 120/sec in the control group and the hallux valgus group. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 10.0 for windows software. Mean and standard deviations were measured and calculated for the General characterristic of subjects. A paired t-test was used to examine the differnces in the means for the ankle plantarflexor and dorsiflexor between two groups. Pearson coefficient correlation was used to examine the correlation of the hallux valgus and the peak torque. Analysis of variance indicated that isokinetic values of the control group were greater than the hallux valgus group(p<.05, p<.01).

등속성 장비를 이용하여 한국고교야구선수 주관절 근력 평가기준치 설정: (서울 및 경기도 중심으로) (Norm-referenced criteria for strength of the elbow joint for the korean high school baseball players using the isokinetic equipment: (Focusing on seoul and gyeonggi-do))

  • 이 연구의 목적은 등속성 장비를 이용하여 고등학교 야구선수들을 대상으로 주관절 근육의 평가 기준치를 설정하는데 있다. 상지에 의학적으로 문제가 없는 고등학교 야구선수 201명을 대상으로 하였다. 주관절 검사는 HUMAC NORM(CSMI, USA) system을 이용하여 굴곡, 신전운동을 부하속도 $60^{\circ}/sec$에서 4회를 실시하였으며, 절대근력(peak torque)와 상대근력(peak torque % body weight)을 측정하였다. Cajori의 5단계(6.06%, 24.17%, 38.30%, 24.17%, and 6.06%)로 구분한 구간추정(interval estimation)방식에 의해 평가 기준치를 나타내었다. 이 연구의 결과에서 각속도 $60^{\circ}/sec$에서 주관절의 절대근력(peak torque) 굴근의 평균은 $37.88{\pm}8.14Nm$ 신근은 $44.59{\pm}11.79Nm$으로 나타났으며, 상대근력(peak torque % body weight) 굴근의 평균은 $50.06{\pm}8.66Nm$ 신근은 $58.28{\pm}12.84Nm$로 나타났다. 각속도 $60^{\circ}/sec$에서 주관절 굴근(flexer)과 신근(extensor)의 절대근력(peak torque)과 상대근력(peak torque % body weight)의 평가기준치는 설정하였다. 이 연구에서 분석 된 결과를 토대로 다음과 같이 결론을 이끌어 냈다. 주관절은 야구선수들에게 가장 많이 발생되는 손상임에도 불구하고 국내외 주관절 근력에 관한 연구가 미비한 실정이다. 주관절 손상을 예방하고 경기력 향상을 위해 상대적 근력 수준과 훈련효과를 보다 객관적으로 평가할 수 있는 근력 척도가 필요하다. 주관절의 절대근력과 상대근력의 평가기준치를 제시함으로서 고교선수, 야구지도자, 선수트레이너, 재활전문가 등에게 손상회복 및 재활 복귀 시 유용하게 자료가 될 것으로 생각되며, 객관적인 임상 평가 데이터로 활용하는 데 매우 유용한 정보라고 사료된다.

  • The system discussed in this paper is an integrated stand-alone system with the full functional capabilities required of a telerobot system. It is complete with a force-reflecting 6-DOF hand controller, driving a PUMA 560 or 762 robot, with an integrated force-torque sensing wrist sensor and servo-driven parallel jaw gripper. A mix of custom and standard electronics, distributed computers and microprocessors, with embedded and downloadable software, have been integrated into the system, giving rise to a powerful and flexible teleautonomous control system.

  • SRM drive system is suitable for high performance drive over a wide speed range because of its outstanding instantaneous torque characteristics, controllability and simple drive structure. The realization of high efficiency SRM system is archived by design of optimal magnetic structure, and by development of switching drive circuit. So, this study describes the design standard of the winding number of stator pole for optimal magnetic structure.
