The purpose of this study was to measure and compare the strains produced by screw-tightening implant frameworks fabricated by aye different fabrication methods; (1) one-piece cast using plastic sleeve, (2) one-piece cast using gold cylinder, (3) laser welding, (4) soldering, and (5) electrical discharge machining, and also to measure and compare the strains produced when the order of screw tightening was changed A research model incorporating eighteen strain gages was made to measure the fit of implant frameworks in three dimensions. Three implants aligned in an arc were fixed on the top ends of the L-shape aluminum bars of the research model, and standard abutments were joined to the implants with abutment screws. Five types of implant framework were placed on the abutments and screwed by a torque wrench using 10 Ncm. Under the conditions of this study, the following conclusions were drawn: 1. The electrical discharge machining group showed the smallest magnitude of strain, followed by the soldering group, the laser welding group, the one-piece cast group using gold cylinder, and the one-piece cast group using plastic sleeve. However, among the magnitude of strain for the remaining groups except the electrical discharge machining group, there were not significant differences. 2. When the order of screw tightening was changed, there were not significant differences in the magnitude of strain. 3. In comparison with the electrical discharge machining group, the laser welding group and the one-piece cast groups showed greater horizontal distortion and the soldering group showed greater horizontal and vertical distortion.

Post-installed anchors were widely used due to its workable benefits. Regarding the resistance performance of anchors, the critical edge distance is presented to minimize the impact of concrete splitting. In the case of actual anchors, however, it is difficult to obtain the ideal edge distance. The purpose of this study is to identify resistance performance and behavior characteristics that contain complex elements such as concrete crack occurring under tensile load. Tensile tests were conducted based on the standard method. Failure shape and the resistance characteristics that do not have the critical edge distance were derived by tensile load. Parametric analysis according to the boundary condition was performed to simulate the actual tensile behavior, through a nonlinear finite element model based on the specimen. Consequently therefore, verifying analysis results the resistance mechanism can be applied through boundary conditions.

Genetic programming (GP) is an extension of a genetic algoriths paradigm, deals with tree structures representing computer programs as individuals. In recent, there have been many research activities on applications of GP to various engineering problems including system identification, data mining, function approximation, and so forth. However, standard GP suffers from the lack of the estimation techniques for numerical parameters of the GP tree that is an essential element in treating various engineering applications involving real-valued function approximations. Unlike the other research activities, where nonlinear optimization methods are employed, I adopt the use of a weighted linear associative memory for estimation of these parameters under GP algorithm. This approach can significantly reduce computational cost while the reasonable accurate value for parameters can be obtained. Due to the fact that the GP algorithm is likely to fall into a local minimum, the GP algorithm often fails to generate the tree with the desired accuracy. This motivates to devise a group of additive genetic programming trees (GAGPT) which consists of a primary tree and a set of auxiliary trees. The output of the GAGPT is the summation of outputs of the primary tree and all auxiliary trees. The addition of auxiliary trees makes it possible to improve both the teaming and generalization capability of the GAGPT, since the auxiliary tree evolves toward refining the quality of the GAGPT by optimizing its fitness function. The effectiveness of this approach is verified by applying the GAGPT to the estimation of the principal dimensions of bulk cargo ships and engine torque of the passenger car.
Gasoline that meets the quality standards is distributed in Korea. However, consumers who use toluene or solvent mixed with gasoline have appeared due to rising crude oil prices and for the purpose of tax evasion. Gasoline quality standard is enacted by the domestic and international research reference. A wrong fuel can influence automobile performance or environmental issue. Thus, empirical data from this issue is necessary. Therefore, this research observed catalyst influence by gasoline property change and inspect influence of environment. In this study, fuel property evaluation, lean-burn evaluation, and real vehicle exhaust emission test were performed. In the result of fuel property, the fuel "A" was measured to be up to 27% less octane than the normal gasoline and the distillation property was measured 24% higher than normal gasoline. In the test result of single cylinder engine lean-burn test, the fuels "A" and "B" show torque value 20% less than the normal gasoline. As a result of vehicle test using the catalyst, the fuel "A" was increased more than the normal gasoline with 83% THC, 1,806% CO and 128% NOx, and the fuel "B" was increased more than normal gasoline with 1.6% THC, 391% CO and 142% NOx.

Recently, automobiles have been developed for safety and environmental reasons. Particularly, awareness of automobile safety is changing significantly. As a result, safety systems developed by ADAS have emerged. However, the period of mass production through ADAS development and test evaluation is long. Therefore, in this paper, we develop a brake dynamometer to shorten the time required for ADAS development and test evaluation. In addition, the developed brake dynamometer satisfies the international standard JIS D-0210, and the user can evaluate the braking force by selecting test conditions and test method for each mode of ADAS. We use the ACC, LKAS, and AEB scenarios proposed in previous studies to verify the reliability of the developed brake dynamometer. The developed brake dynamometer was verified by comparing the test values and the calculated values using theoretical formulas of the proposed ADAS mode based on previous studies. In addition, it is expected that the performance evaluation of brake parts for each ADAS mode will be possible in an environment where the vehicle test of ADAS is not possible in the future.

Objective: In this study, the test-retest reliability and validity were presented to evaluate the usability of isokinetic rehabilitation equipment for the knee joint. Design: Cross-sectional design, reliability & validity study. Methods: Thirty healthy adults participated in the study. A CSMI dynamometer was used as a standardized measuring device to present the validity of the equipment. It was measured based on the dominant leg. The average peak torque value was selected as the measurement variable. After the measurement, a questionnaire was conducted on safety, satisfaction, and performance through the usability evaluation questionnaire. Results: The knee joint isokinetic rehabilitation equipment showed high reliability with Intraclass Correlations Coefficients (ICC) =0.883~0.956. In order to check the validity of the equipment, the 95% confidence interval of the mean difference limit was confirmed by the Bland & Altman plot. As a result, all three angular velocities showed a smaller confidence interval in the flexion than in extension. There were less than 10 plots that were not included in 2 Standard Deviation (SD) between all measurements. As a result of the usability evaluation questionnaire, the average of the safety domain(4.9±0.4), satisfaction domain(4.1±0.8), performance domain(4.3±0.8). Conclusions: If the product is improved by supplementing the items identified in the usability evaluation process, it is judged that it can be used as a useful device in various knee joint rehabilitation fields.
In this study, The full load test and WHTC mode test were performed to examine the effect on a heavy duty natural gas engine according to the type of standard gas for certification to check engine performance and exhaust characteristics. Two types of standard gas (Gr, G23) and commercially available natural gas were applied as the fuel used. As a result of the test results of three natural gases with different fuel compositions, G23 with a high nitrogen content was inferior in torque, fuel consumption, and thermal efficiency conditions. In addition, when evaluated in the WHTC mode it was possible to obtain a result that satisfies the EURO VI regulation. However, compared to the other two fuels, the emission characteristics of G23 decreased CO2 and CO, but increased CH4, NOx and PN emissions.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the availability of computer system for the measurement of tooth size in the model analysis through the comparison of two measurements: One was to use a computer; and the other was to use vernier calipers. Twenty sets of casts were used, which showed a moderate degree of crowding and full eruption of all teeth. The mesio-distal width of 12 teeth from the left central incisor to the left first molar at each set of the casts were measured twice with vernier calipers and a computer respectively. This measurement was repeated two weeks later. First, for the reproducibility analysis, the two computer measurements were compared then the vernier calipers measurements were compared. Second, all the teeth were sepapated into the region of mesiodistal contact points and its width was measured by a micrometer to obtain standard measurements. For the accuracy analysis, these standard measurements were compared with the measurements from the dental casts using two methods. The difference between them was defined as the measurement error. To investigate the cause of measurement error, an examination was made for the presence and degree of contact point deviation on each tooth from the upper and lower occlusograms, and the mesio-distal angulation of each tooth was measured with TARG. Following results were obtained through statistical analysis. 1. In the analysis for reproducibility; the measurements with vernier calipers showed significant differences in three out of twelve teeth while the computer measurements showed significant differences in one out of twelve teeth. 2. In the analysis for accuracy; compared with the standard measurements, the measurements with vernier calipers showed significant differences in three out of twelve teeth while the computer measurements showed significant differences in two out of twelve teeth. 3. Compared with the standard measurements, the measurements with vernier calipers were apt to be larger at the upper first molar, and smaller at the lower first molar The computer measurements, however, were apt to be larger at both upper and lower first molars. 4. The measurements with vernier calipers showed the largest error at the lower first molar and the degree of error was variable according to the tooth while the difference of error was small in the computer measurements. 5. In the analysis for the correlation of the degree of measurement errors with the contact point deviation index and the mesio-distal crown angulation of each tooth, the measurements with vernier calipers did not show significant correlation while the measurements with computer showed slight Positive correlations. The results of this study indicate that a computer system may be useful for the measurement of tooth size in the model analysis.

In the international natural gas market, natural gas has markedly low calories. The domestic calories standard of natural gas was changed and the performance and efficiency of many industrial machines using natural gas were affected because of low caloric natural gas. Therefore, in this study, a dual fuel engine fueled with natural gas and diesel was tested to examine the effects of the CNG substitution rate on the combustion characteristics, such as thermal efficiency, COVimep and heat release rate. The CNG substitution rate was defined as the ratio of CNG instead of diesel, which was calculated as the total energy. The conditions of the tested engine were fixed $1800rpm/500N{\cdot}m$. In addition, diesel fuel was injected at $16^{\circ}CA$ BTDC and the fuel pressure was fixed at 85 MPa; the lower heating value of CNG was $10,400kcal/Nm^3$. The results of the engine test showed that the amount of diesel fuel was changed according to the CNG substitution rate. Therefore, when the substitution rate was increased, the amount of diesel fuel was decreased, which affected the energy for ignition. In addition, the ignition delay duration was increased, which affected the thermal efficiency and torque. On the other hand, the COVimep was less than 5% and a stable combustion state of the engine was shown.

The purpose of this study is to compare the results of shear-deformation of saturated sand under the 3 dimensional stress with the results of simple torque-shear test already reported, Japaness standard sand, Toyoura sand, was chosen as test sample and the equipments of the department of soil mechancis laboratory of Nihon University were used. The conclusions obtained are as follows. 1). The friction angle of sand (${\phi}$) is proportional to the density regardless of the condition of stress-strain. This is because of the reason that the lower the cell pressure becomes, the larger the volume changes in case of the same density. 2). The value of ${\varphi}$ are variable according to the condition of stress-strain in the same density, and ${\phi}_dTS$ is larger than ${\phi}_dPS$ and ${\phi}_dTC$ when cell pressure is low. 3). ${\phi}_dPS$ is larger then ${\phi}_dTS$, under the same denstiy and same cell pressure. Thus the shear strength of sand is decided according to the condition of stress-strain 4). the relationship between the stress ratio (q/p) and strain increment ration in the plane strain test is linear regardless of the density and the cell pressure of the test sample.
