  • Clustering data streams has an importance over many applications like sensor networks. Existing hierarchical methods follow a semi fuzzy clustering that yields duplicate clusters. In order to solve the problems, we propose an extended online divisive agglomerative clustering on data streams. It builds a tree-like top-down hierarchy of clusters that evolves with data streams using geometric time frame for snapshots. It is an enhancement of the Online Divisive Agglomerative Clustering (ODAC) with a pruning strategy to avoid duplicate clusters. Our main features are providing update time and memory space which is independent of the number of examples on data streams. It can be utilized for clustering sensor data and network monitoring as well as web click streams.

  • In order to elucidate the translocation of the systemic insecticide, phosphamidon (2-chloro-2-diethylcarbamoyl-1-methylvinyl dimethyl phosphate), treated to pine trees against pine leaf gall midges (Thecodiplosis japonensis Uchida et Inouye), $[vinyl,\;carbonyl-^{14}C]$ phosphamidon was implanted into the trunks of 10-year-old Korean red pine (Pinus densiflora Sieb. et Zucc.) and Japanese black pine (Pinus thunbergii Parl.), respectively. The upward movement rates of the chemical within Korean red pine in July and Japanese black pine in December were ca. 10 cm/hr and 2 cm/hr, respectively. The original radioactivity level persisted up to 75 days after treatment throughout the whole tree in Korean red pine in July, whereas it did up to 150 days in Japanese black pine in December. The chemical was translocated up to the top at the insecticidal level within 3 days after treatment in July, whereas in December it was within 15 days. The translocation of the chemical was much dependent upon pine tree species and the treated season. Methanol was suitable for the extraction of phosphamidon and its metabolites from pine needles. Autoradiography of the methanol extracts of pine needles collected from the treated pine trees proved that phosphamidon broke down very quickly within pine trees (ca. 80% metabolized within 7 days).

  • Multiple sequence alignment(MSA) is a fundamental technique of DNA and Protein sequence analysis. Biological sequences are aligned vertically in order to show the similarities and differences among them. In this Paper, we Propose an effcient group alignment method, which is based on clustering divergency, to Perform the alignment between two groups of sequences. The Proposed algorithm is a clustering divergence(CDMS)-based multiple sequence alignment and a top-down approach. The algorithm builds the tree topology for merging. It is so based on the concept that two sequences having the longest distance should be spilt into two clusters. We expect that our sequence alignment algorithm improves its qualify and speeds up better than traditional algorithm Clustal-W.

  • As a part of the era of human centric applications people started to care about their well being utilizing any possible mean. This paper proposes a framework for real time on-body sensor health-care system, addresses the current issues in such systems, and utilizes an enhanced online divisive agglomerative clustering algorithm (EODAC); an algorithm that builds a top-down tree-like structure of clusters that evolves with streaming data to rationally cluster on-body sensor data and give accurate diagnoses remotely, guaranteeing high performance, and scalability. Furthermore it does not depend on the number of data points.

  • Indirect illumination plays an important role for realistic image synthesis. We present a novel realtime indirect illumination rendering technique using image pyramids. Hundreds of thousands of indirect point light sources are stored into images, and then they hierarchically clustered into quad-tree image pyramids. We also introduce a GPU based top-down and breadth-first traversal of the quad-trees to approximate the illumination with clusters (set of lights). All steps entirely run on the GPU in real-time. Result images demonstrate that our method represents diffuse interreflection, especially a color bleeding effect well. We achieved interactive frame rates of tens to hundreads, without any preprocessing. We can avoid artifacts caused by sampling, and our method is seven times faster than a recently proposed sampling based method.

  • A series of images whose sized and resolutions differ by a constant factor are called an image pyramid. Because the images at high levels are small, large object can be detected on high levels of the pyramid at low cost, But in this way, the boundaries of objects are not accurately localized. Therefore the pyramid algorithms extracte the objects by segmentation the constructed image using bottom-up method and description it in an original resolution using inverse bottom-up method. In this paper, we can project an object down to the next lower level of the pyramid and apply to the boundary adjustment algorithm at that level to localize it more precisely. We repeat the process at successively lower levels. In this paper, we present a method of boundary adjustment using an image pyramid to obtain optimal boundary. The performance of the proposed algorithm is compared to those of the conventional method in term of subjective quality of object boundary.

  • First, The spatial distribution characteristics of old big trees were analyzed using ArcGIS figures by combining basic information such as species and ages of old big trees in Handan City, which were compiled by the local bureau of landscaping. The types of species, distribution by ages of trees, ownership status, growth status, and diversity status were comprehensively analyzed. Statistically, Styphnolobium, Acacia, Gleditsia, and Albizia of Fabaceae accounted for the majority, of which Sophora japonica accounted for the highest proportion. Sophora japonica is widely and intensively distributed to each prefecture and district in Handan city. According to the age and distribution, the old big trees over 1000 years old were mainly Sophora japonica, Zelkova serrata, Juniperus chinensis, Morus australis Koidz., Dalbergia hupeana Hance, Ceratonia siliqua L., and Pistacia chinensis, and Platycladus orientalis. Second, as found in each type of old big tree status, various types of old big tree status were investigated, the protection management system, protection management process, and protection management benefits were studied, and the protection of old big tree was closely related to the growth environment. Currently, the main driving force behind the protection of old big trees is the worship of old big trees. By depositing its sacredness to the old big tree and sublimating the natural character that nature gave to the old big tree into a guiding consciousness of social activities, nature's "beauty" and personality's "goodness" are well combined. The protection state of the old big tree is closely related to the degree of interaction with the surrounding environment and the participation of various cultures and subjects. In the process of continuously interacting with the surrounding environment during the long-term growth of old big trees, it seems that a natural sanctuary was formed around old big trees in the process of voluntarily establishing a "natural-cultural-scape" system involving bottom-up and top-down cross-regions, multicultural and multi-subjects. Third, China focused on protecting and recovering old big trees, but the protection management system is poor due to a lack of comprehensive consideration of historical and cultural values, plant diversity significance, and social values of old big trees in the management process. Three indicators of space's regional characteristics, property and protection characteristics, and value characteristics can be found in the evaluation of the natural characteristics of old giant trees, which are highly valuable in terms of traditional consciousness management, resource protection practice, faith system construction, and realization of life community values. A systematic management system should be supported as to whether they can be protected and developed for a long time. Fourth, as the perception of protected areas is not yet mature in China, "natural sanctuary" should be treated as an important research content in the process of establishing a nature reserve system. The form of natural sanctuary management, which focuses on bottom-up community participation, is a strong supplement to the current type of top-down nature reserve management in China. Based on this, the protection of old giant trees should be included in the form of a nature reserve called a natural monument in the nature reserve system. In addition, residents of the area around the nature reserve should be one of the main agents of biodiversity conservation.
