In this paper, we present JPAS(Java Package for Array Sharing) which is a Java Package for sharing arrays of data on a cluster of workstations. It allows us to divide an array of data into several pieces, and to place each piece on a different host. JPAS uses Java RMI so that the entire array can be accessed by a location transparent interface which is similar to that of a distributed shared memory system. JPAS is portable and easy to use since it is implemented using pure Java. In order to reduce network overhead, JPAS allows programmers to use their prior knowledge of the application. Data consistency can be maintained through the value updating methods defined for all the elements of an array. We developed parallel programs which use JPAS, and tested them on a cluster of workstations. The test results show that JPAS is a parallel programming tool with reasonably good performance.

This paper proposed a tool how to make the educational game for users who don't have professional knowledge about game production technique and It was sought how they can make directly the educational game customized form what they want. It joined with forgotten Korean folk tales. And It evolved into a new game-making tool that is based on Korean folk tales. Users will design, play and share their games themselves with this tool. It was also produced to involve the children more easily and fun in the education while providing and sharing the fairy tales which teachers directly designed by this tool. This tool will give a chance to look back on forgotten Korean folk tales and will play role as a educational game for young students. Through this game, young students will receive good Korean traditional cultures and will gain wisdom, humor and lessons in a game. And adults will feel homesick.

In today's engineering world, any product development activity requires the expertise and the interaction of many different engineering. Therefore the various activities in a product development architecture are highly distributed and interdependent. The interdependence may be due to sharing of databases and transfer of information between various activities. This will require an integrated product model. That can support distributed design such that participants from different backgrounds collaborate towards one common goal. This paper presents the architecture of the product modeling system for the integration of CAD and CAE. It then reports on the study of STEP 10303 and UG open API focused on the integration of different technical environments.

We present a use. interface(UI) simulator for developing a mobile phone. This simulator consists of 3 major modules: Graphic Tool Editor, User Interface Software(UI), and Network Command Processor(NCP). The Graphic Tool Editor can design a virtual mobile terminal. The NCP sends a command to the phone and then receives its status from the phone after completion of the command. We can add or modify lots of features easily to the phone using the UI module. These modules can interact each other by sharing the common area in the memory. By doing so, these modules can exchange their status and data to operate in real-time. We have designed and tested a virtual prototyping phone for the LGP 3200 manufactured by LGIC by using the simulator. Through a series of experiment, we have believed that our virtual prototyping interactive simulator can do shorten its development and testing cycle by applying it in the early design phase.

Light Rail Transit (LRT) system is a complex and large system in which there are many subsystems, interfaces, functions and demanding performance requirements. Because many contractors participate in the development, it is necessary to apply methods of sharing common objectives and communicating effectively among all of the stakeholders. This paper shows not only the methodology and the results of computer-aided systems engineering including requirement management, functional analysis and architecting LRT system, but also propose a tool to help manage a project by linking WBS (Work Breakdown Structure), work organization and PBS (Product Breakdown Structure). The application of computer-aided tool RDD-100 provides the capability to model product design knowledge and decisions about important issues such as architecting the top-level system. The product design knowledge will be essential in integrating the following life-cycle phase activities over the life of the LRT system. Additionally, when a new generation train system is required, the reuse of the database can increase the system design productivity and effectiveness significantly.

Works that improve the process and notify the improved process, the product and the change of tasks to all users are essential in achieving project. Existent project management tools support the definition and the change of project activities, and configuration management tools support version check, workspace management. build management. etc. It costs too much to buy each tool. as well as, it is burdensome to learn usage for various tools. Therefore the web-based integrated tool is proposed to manage the process and artifacts at a time in this paper. The proposed tool defines component based development process model. and achieves recording of process progression, processing the request of change, reporting the progression of each task, product registering and change, version recording, artifact or form search, etc. using ebXML. Furthermore, the stakeholders get the systematic management and standardization by sharing information that are necessary in process achievement and configuration management in distributed environment using the integrated management tool.

This study tried to suggest the basic materials that can be efficiently applied in clinical cases by understanding problems through a content analysis of an adult nursing assessment tool and opinion agreement about nurse's practical usage presently used in the hospital. The study was carried out in 36 attached hospitals in nationwide universities from May to December, 1999, the two hundred and twenty five reports were for analysis. The contents of the collected nursing assessment tool were analyzed. It was found that the tool had been used with various names and content and there were instances of partial omission of a number of items, such as documentation and time records. Other results revealed that they mostly had a systematic classification of items, formation of details a form of a check list, and the effect of saving time. In spite of the adult nursing assessment tool, it was suggested that its style be subdivided according to the specialized of a department and that standardized style be amended and supplemented. The respondents also answered that there had to be education about continuous and sufficient health assessment skills on the physical examination record. The most frequently suggested items to be added were: past history, marital status, patient and caregiver's address and telephone number. It was found that a patient's education career, economic status, religion, hygienic practice, sexual life and hobby were the most frequently omitted items on record. The reason given wes because the items were associated with his/her privacy. These results highlight the importance of analyzing the content with an complete data collection, supplying basic content for a more accurate nursing record, computerization, sharing information and standardization of the form.

Database integration is a common and growing challenge with the proliferation of database systems, data warehouses, data marts, and other OLAP systems in organizations. Although there are many methods of sharing data between databases, true interoperability of database integration system that improves in the database federation architecture by allowing domain administrators to simply and efficiently capture database semantics. The semantic information is combined using a tool for producing a global view. Building the global view is the bottleneck in integration because there are few tools that support its construction, and these tools often require sophisticated knowledge and experience to operate properly. The technique and tool presented is simple and powerful enough to be used by all database administrators, yet expressive enough to support the majority of integration queries.

In recent creativity becomes a new request in the knowledge and information age. Robot programming education is an effective teaching method for improvement of creativity. Existing robot programming tools includes text-based or GUI-based development environment. Most of programming tools provide a simple tutorial system without interactive activity for beginners. In this paper, we propose an online robot programming education system based on web2.0, which embedded collaborative code creating tool, interactive tutorial chat and video conference tool to support collaborative code creating via web 2.0. Knowledge sharing tool allows users to share their collaborative source code. Besides, it makes users gained the experience and knowledge of program designing efficiently.
