An interactive web-based teaching tool for a power semiconductor course at the University of Central Florida is presented in this paper. A novel approach is introduced using Technology Aided Design Tools (TCAD) to generate time-lapsed 2D semiconductor device cross-section embedded in a webpage using $Adobe^{(R)}$ Flash (web design tool) platform to create interactive movies that demonstrate complex device physical phenomenon. Students can step through the interactive movies forward, backward, pausing, or looping. Each step represents a giving bias condition. Current-voltage plots are represented along with the semiconductor device and a visual point is placed on the IV curve to indicate the current bias conditions. The changes are then reflected in the 2D cross-section movie area and the IV plot. This tool was implemented in a classroom setting to augment the lectures or for discovery learning.
This study is an example of the education of block coding and physical computing teaching tool for preservice teachers at the college of education. The students were familiar with coding and improved their coding skills in solving various problems through 'Entry' that support block coding. In addition, the students configured the computing system with various input / output devices of the physical computing teaching tool and controlled things through programming and produced the educational portfolio to experience the whole process of problem analysis, design, implementation, and testing in coding. We applied Flow based coding and Pair programming as the teaching methods, and the results of the survey to measure the effectiveness of the study show that students have a good understanding of the entry and physical computing teaching tool and using the combination of the entry and physical computing teaching tool were more effective in learning than the Entry-only coding. In addition, it was confirmed that the effect of Pair programming applied in the physical computing teaching tool.
The key features of our integrated approach to teaching and loaming college mathematics include interactive and discussion-based teaching, small group work, computer as a tool, problem solving approach, open approach, mathematics in context, emphasis on mathematical thinking and creativity, and writing/communicating about mathematics. In this paper we report a few examples to illustrate the type of problems we use in our integrated approach.
For decades, reflection has been recognised as a meaningful tool to bring forth teachers' ownership as well as knowledge and action empowerment in teacher education. Yet there have been few studies on elementary teachers' reflection on their science teaching in Korea. In this study, 71 reflective journals of 24 elementary teachers on their science teaching were analyzed. The characteristics of reflective journals were analyzed in terms of 'productive reflection', a concept suggested by Davis (2006). Unproductive reflection is mainly descriptive without analysis, whereas productive reflection can promote teachers' learning by integrating four aspects of teaching (learner/learning, subject matter knowledge, instruction and assessment). The result showed what elementary teachers consider and emphasize and how they integrate their ideas. Most of reflective journals included aspects of 'instruction', 'learner/learning', and 'subject matter knowledge'. However 'instruction' was emphasized most frequently (69.0%) than 'subject matter knowledge' (33.8%) and 'learner/learning' (26.8%). 'Assessment' was hardly included nor emphasized. More than half of the journals (56.3%) showed no integrations, which were unproductive reflection. A third of the journals (32.4%) integrated only two aspects among four. Average score of integrations was 1.6 on a scale of 4 points. The integrations were not affected by the length of reflective journals and the teaching experience. These findings suggest that productive reflection would not increase naturally with teaching experience and there needs more tactful guidance to develop elementary teachers' productive reflection on their science teaching.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution era requires people to have the ability of integrated thinking, critics, sensitivity, and creativity in an integrated manner. Therefore, teaching methods are expected to become more suitable for the trend. In this belief, current teacher-leading education method should move to students' self motivating one and consist of programs in which students voluntarily involve. In this reason, this study suggests FPBL educational method model that is combines project-based learning with flipped learning by analysing preceding research and digital painting tool class was designed by applying it. As a result of applying the designed class model to the class, all of the class satisfaction, effectiveness, and interaction were evaluated positively. Problems such as limitations of project classes due to non-face-to-face classes, large amount of learning before class, and reduced concentration during class were found. Therefore, when the FPBL class model is conducted non-face-to-face, it will be necessary to further strengthen the role of the instructor, provide lecture videos summarizing the core contents, and improve concentration by providing active participation and fun using various digital tools. The result of the study looks significant by confirming the possibility of applying FPBL model not only in design education but also other educational settings.
The purpose of the study is to introduce a model for learning-teaching mathematics using graphing calculator. This study consists of four main chapters. In chapter III, there are some Teaching Procedures and reports. Graphing calculator was used as a tool in understanding mathematical concepts and solving given problems. Also there is an example of performance assessment on second-grade students in high school. This study left much to be desired and has to be followed by a continuing study to make it better.

With a focus on LabView language to program Lego Mindstoms Robot in afterschool class to help children develop their special ability and aptitude. The purpose of this research was to make proposal for programming learning method using a robot as an algorithm learning tool to improve creative problem solving ability. To do this, robot programming training program in the amount of 30th period and teaching aids thereof were developed, and 6th grade primary school children were taught up to 30th period, then after, they were evaluated accordingly. Results from analysis of evaluation of achievement level with a focus on outcomes according to each period revealed that learners understood most of contents of curriculum. In view of such results from evaluation, it is judged that the curriculum as well as teaching aids that devised and created have been constituted in order that school children will be able to have developed a shared understanding of their learning sufficiently, and to put it into practice easily. Through these hands-on experiences in the course of researches, researcher could have confirmed the possibility of success for robot-programming training class as new creative algorithm learning tool in the primary school curriculum.

The core competencies for the 21st century are creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. In recent classes where ICT (information, communication, and technology) is grafted, a lot of efforts are also being made to increase such competencies. According to a research work, ICT is most often used as a communication channel between teachers and students or as an online collaboration tool among students. However, ICT has only played a role as a guideline for instruction, but not included in the curriculum until now. The research on methods how to integrate technology into teaching and learning is in full swing due to the development of technology and the advent of Covid-19. In this paper, we propose a technology integration hierarchy model, namely K-TIHM that can be combined with STEAM education. Since only learning environments have been proposed in the existing research for technology-based STEAM education, our model proposes a series of technology integration hierarchy that can be applied by school age along with STEAM. Also, we analyze the differences in among the Korea's ICT education operation guidelines, the Korea's Software education guidelines, and ours. The proposed model can help developing the primary and secondary school curriculum integrated with technology.

As society has changed to being more knowledge-based, it is necessary that change of paradigm is incorporated into engineering education and the education goals and the assessment method of educational outcomes is developed to promptly meet the needs of the times. A purpose of this study is to measure learning outcomes in coursework of engineering college every semester, which ultimately provides to validate program outcomes. We looked into teaching-learning style of course in the engineering college and analyzed its grade method and tool. By use of a survey, we derived a reasonable method to measure for the learning outcomes in course and presented tools for course-embedded assessment to measure that learning outcomes had been tied to their objectives. These tools are effective to determine that program outcomes and education goals have been achieved, ultimately. In addition, it will help that instruction builds a loop system for better.
