Directional antennas are used to improve spatial reuse, but have the problem of deafness. The DUDMAC protocol uses the ORTS, OCTS, DDATA, and DACK mechanisms and a blocking algorithm for directional transmissions. In this paper, we propose a tone dual-channel directional MAC (Tone DUDMAC) protocol to improve spatial reuse. The Tone DUDMAC protocol uses the ORTS, DCTS, DDATA, and DACK mechanisms including the DDATA_tone and OCTS_tone. We use ORTS as that in DUDMAC because of location unawareness of neighbor's nodes. The DDATA_tone and OCTS_tone reduce a blocking area and improve spatial reuse. We confirm the throughput performance of the proposed MAC protocol by computer simulations using Qualnet ver.3.8 simulator.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between zirconia core thickness and color tone blocking of discolored tooth and metal post. Methods: For this study, we made 20-porcelain sample and 4-metal sample( liechtenstein IPS e.max) bonded to zirconia core of different thickness with cement(Relyx ARC-3M USA)for produce discolored. We measured the color-spectral characteristics, using Shadepilot equipment(Degudent USA).We measured it with Shadepilot equipment set by automated average mode in 3 times And applied the average value obtained from 2 times of measurement in the middle of each sample. Results: As a result of analysing color-spectral characteristics on zirconia core sample, Depending on the thickness of zirconia core, the value of brightness(${\Delta}L*$:color-spectral characteristic) was increased within limited range, value of ${\Delta}a*$, ${\Delta}b*$ was decrease. Conclusion: Consequently, we obtained the following results: Changes of sample color were observed depending on the thickness of zirconia, but the range of change did not exceed the scope range of shade guide. The case of metal posts, shade guide color D2 were observed in 0.5mm of zirconia core thickness. As a result, in case of porcelain, increasing the zirconia thickness of 0.3mm or more is unnecessary for color blocking effect, in case of metal post, considering the discolored tooth, thickness of zirconia with at least 0.5mm or more is recommended.
The directional medium access control (MAC) protocol improves the throughput of mobile ad hoc networks but has a deafness problem and requires location information for neighboring nodes. In the dual-channel directional MAC protocol [12], the use of omnidirectional packets does not require the exact location of destination node. In this letter, we propose a tone dual-channel MAC protocol with directional antennas to improve the throughput of mobile ad hoc networks. In the proposed MAC protocol, we use a directional CTS and an out-of-band directional DATA tone with a new blocking algorithm to improve the spatial reuse. We confirm the throughput performance of the proposed MAC protocol by computer simulations using the Qualnet simulator.
Dichloroisoproterenol(DCI) i; one of the well known ${\beta}$-adrenergic receptor blocking agents. According to Moran and Perkins, DCI has sympathomimetic like action in relatively low concentrations. Fleming and Hawkins confirmed that DCI acts upon the receptors concerned with positive chronotropic and inotropic actions in the heart. Vogins reported that DCI, in concentration of $5{\times}10^{-8}$ to $5{\times}10^{-6}g/ml$, had properties of sympathomimetic amine causing positive inotropic and chronotropic actions in normal rat atria. And James and Nadeau found that DCI had not only adrenergic blocking effect in moderate and higher concentrations, but it also blocked the effect on the sinus node by vagal stimulation and of directly administered acetylcholine in higher concentrations. As stated above by many authors, DCI has complicated actions according to its concentrations. Our aim at the present experiments was to study the effects of DCI to the action of ouabain and acetylcholine upon the excised rabbit atria, as well as to the action of barium chloride and acetylcholine upon the excised rabbit intestine. In addition, Pan ax Ginseng is widely used as tonics in oriental nations, its pharmacological action, however, has not been clearly established. So we atempted to investigate the effects of the water extract of Panax Ginseng to the action of ouabain and DCI upon both atria and intestine. The results obtained were as follows. 1) DCI has a negative inotropic effect on the excised rabbit atria at concentration of $10^{-5}$ and a positive inotropic effect at concentration of $10^{-6}$. 2) DCI (at concentration of $10^{-6}$) potentiates the positive inotropic effect of ouabain upon the excised rabbit atria. 3) DCI antagonizes the action of acetylcholine upon the excised rabbit atria. 4) The water extract of Panax Ginseng, at concentration of $10^{-3}$, decreases the contractile force of rabbit atria, and tends to slightly increase that of rabbit atria at $10^{-4}$. 5) The water extract of Panax Ginseng exhibits a synergistic action with ouabain on the contractile force of rabbit atria. 6) DCI, in concentrations of $10^{-7}{\sim}10^{-6}$, depresses the tone and amplitude of contraction of the excised rabbit intestine. The depression of the intestinal tone markedly appears in pretreatment with reserpine 2mg/kg 24 hours. 7) DCI antagonizes the contractile effect of barium chloride on the excised rabbit atria. 8) DCI has no significant influence on the action of acetylcholine upon the excised rabbit intestine. 9) The series of those evidences indicates that DCI has a sympathomimetic-like action and more over a relaxing action directly on the excised rabbit intestine. 10) The water extract of Panax Ginseng in concentrations of $10^{-4}{\sim}10^{-3}$, has transient depression of the intestinal tone, but later gradually recovers its normal motility: 11) The water extract of Panax Ginseng has a synergistic action with ouabain on the intestinal contractility.
Previous studies on the effect of the visible lights on the organism have shown the possible influences on the nervous system. It was reported that the illumination of blue beam increased the sympathetic tone and that of red beam increased the parasympathetic tone. The pharmacological actions of the sympathomimetics were also known to be altered by various visible lights. But their modes and mechanisms of actions on the nervous system have not been clarified and is obscure. To elucidate the precise mechanism of action of the visible lights on the nervous system, present study was made to observe the survival time of the mole living in the dark environment, under the illumination of the various visible lights and influences of several drugs. The results are summerized as follows: 1. The illumination of the natural sun light caused the survival time of the mole to be shortened and visible monochromatic beams (red, blue and green) even more markedly shortened the survival time. No significant difference was noted depending on the wave length of the chromatic beam. 2. The shortened survival time caused by the visible monochromatic lights was prolonged by strychnine but not affected by morphine. 3. The survival time under the illumination of the visible monochromatic lights was prolonged by acetylcholine and physostigmine. 4. The shortened survival time under the illumination of the monochromatic visible lights was not affected by adrenaline but prolonged by priscoline. It is suggested that the shortened survival time of the mole by the illumination of the visible lights can be prolonged by the stimulation of central and parasympathetic nervous system and blocking of the sympathetic nervous system.

We propose a new approach to greatly simplify the fabrication of conventional nanoimprint lithography (NIL) by combined nanoimprint and photolithography (CNP). We introduce a hybrid mask mold (HMM) made from UV transparent material with a UV-blocking Cr metal layer placed on top of the mold protrusions. We used a negative tone photo resist (PR) with higher selectivity to substrate the CNP process instead of the UV curable monomer and thermal plastic polymer that has been commonly used in NIL. Self-assembled monolayer (SAM) on HMM plays a reliable role for pattern transfer when the HMM is separated from the transfer layer. Hydrophilic $SiO_2$ thin film was deposited on all parts of the HMM, which improved the formation of SAM. This $SiO_2$ film made a sub-10nm formation without any pattern damage. In the CNP technique with HMM, the 'residual layer' of the PR was chemically removed by the conventional developing process. Thus, it was possible to simplify the process by eliminating the dry etching process, which was essential in the conventional NIL method.
Purpose: Ligustri Lucidi Fructus and Ecliptae Herba has long been used for clinical therapy associated especially with menopausal symptoms in Korea. To provide a scientific rationale for such use, we have investigated the antioxidant and vasorelaxant effects of Ligustri Lucidi Fructus, Ecliptae Herba and its mixture. Methods: The antioxidant activity of the extracts from Ligustri Lucidi Fructus, Ecliptae Herba and its mixture were evaluated and compared with that of BHA (butylated hydroxyanisole), BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene), vitamin C and vitamin E, using the ${\alpha}$,${\alpha}-diphenyl-{\beta}-picrylhydrazyl$ (DPPH) radical scavenging method. Results: Antioxidant activity of all extracts using the DPPH radical scavenging method decreased in the order vitamin C>BHA>vitamin E>Ligustri Lucidi Fructus>Ligustri Lucidi Fructus:Ecliptae Herba(1:1)>Ecliptae Herba>BHT. The vasorelaxant effects of extracts were investigated on the vasomotor tone of the rat thoracic aorta in an organ bath. All of the extracts elicited along-term relaxing response in the endothelium-intact as well as endothelium-denuded rat aorta contracted with norepinephrine. This relaxant effect was abolished by Precontraction with 72 mM KCI. Thus, it is suggested that the mechanism of vasorelaxant effect of extracts not involve voltage-operated $Ca^{2+}$ channel blocking but receptor-mediated route. Conclusion: These antioxidant and vasorelaxant effecs of the extracts may contribute to the beneficial effects in postmenopausal women.
In this study attempts were made to observe the effects of guanabenz on renal function in dog, which manifests the antihypertensive action by inhibition of sympathetic tone through stimulating the presynaptic adrenoceptor (${\alpha}_2-adrenoceptor$). Guanabenz, when injected at a dose of $30.0{\mu}g/kg$, or infused at a dose of $3.0{\mu}g/kg/min$ intravenously, produced diuretic action with increased amounts of $Na^+\;and\;K^+$ in urine, and with decreased reabsorption rates of $Na^+\;and\;K^+$ in renal tubules. It was also observed that the rates of osmolar and free water clearances were increased, but the glomerular filtration rate and renal plasma flow were not changed. Guanabenz injected at a dose of $3.0{\mu}g/kg$ into a carotid artery or infused intravenously at a dose of $3.0{\mu}g/kg/min$ in a state of water diuresis elicited the diuretic action of the similar aspect as a case of guanabenz given intravenously. The diuretic action produced by guanabenz was completly blocked by pretreatment of i.v. prazosin, ${\alpha}_1-adrenoblocking$ agent, or of i.v. yohimbine, ${\alpha}_2-adrenergic$ blocking agent. Prazosin, when given into a renal artery, inhibited the diuretic action by i.v. guanabenz in only injected kidney, whereas in case of yohimbine the action was inhibited in both kidney. Guanabenz infused at a dose of $1.0{\mu}g/kg/min$ into a renal artery exhibited no significant changes of renal function in both kidney. In denervation experiments, guanabenz given intravenously produced typical diuretic action in innervated kidney, whereas in denervated kidney, it did not affect the action at initial period but exhibited the action with increase of only free water clearance at later period. These results suggest that guanabenz produced diuretic action in dog by inhibition of electrolyte reabsorption rates in renal tabules, mainly proximal tubule and of ADH release, which is mediated by stimulating of central sympathetic ${\alpha}_2-receptor$.

The purpose of the current study was comparative analysis of autonomic and electrocortical responses to passive and active touch of the tektites with different subjective emotional preference. Perspective goal of the project is development of a template for classification of tactile stimuli according to subjective comfort and associated physiological manifestations. The study was carried out on 36 female college students. Physiological signals were acquired by Grass and B10PAC 100 systems with AcqKnowledge III software. Frontal, parietal and occipital EEG (relative power spectrum /percents/ of EEG bands - delta, theta, slow and fast alpha, low and fast beta), and autonomic variables, namely heart rate (HR), respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA), pulse transit time (PTT), respiration rate (RSP) and skin conductance parameters (SCL, amplitude, rise time and number of SCRs) were analyzed for rest baseline and stimulation conditions. Analysis of the overall pattern of reaction indicated that autonomic response to tactile stimulation was manifested in a form of moderate HR acceleration, RSP increase, RSA decrease (lowered vagal tone), decreased n and increased electrodermal activity (increased SCL, several SCRs) that reflects general sympathetic activation. Parietal EEG effects (on contra-lateral side to stimulated hand) were featured by short-term alpha-blocking, slightly reduced theta and significantly increased delta and enhanced fast beta activity with few variations across stimuli. The main finding of the study was that most and least preferred textures exhibited significant differences in autonomic (HR, RSP, PTT, SCR, and at less extent in RSA and SCL) and electrocortical responses (delta, slow and fast alpha, fast beta relative power). These differences were recorded both in passive and active stimulation modes, thus demonstrating reproducibility of distinction between most and least emotionally preferred tactile stimuli, suggesting influence of psychological factors, such as emotional property of stimulus, on physiological outcome. Nevertheless, development of sufficiently sensitive .and reliable template for classification of emotional responses to tactile stimulation based on physiological response pattern may require more extensive empirical database.
The sense of touch has both objective and subjective characteristics. During hand evaluation of the fabrics. psycho physiological processes such as emotion and stimulation. On other site, the mode of touch (passive vs. active) is also capable to modulate somatosensory responses. I.e., suppress somatocensory perception during active electrocortical responses to passive and active touch of the textiles with different subjective emotional preference.
