The cost of simulation modeling, the expertise required, and the pains of starting a new each time are impediments to more wide spread adoption of simulation technology. In addition, one of the most critical problems in the field of computer simulation today is the lack of published models and physical objects within the World Wide Web (WWW) allowing such distribution. From the viewpoint of WWW as distributed model repositories, it can be assumed that very many simulation models exist on the web. This paper is based on the premise that WWW is a distributed repository. Design Pattern, web-oriented technology like Java and CORBA, which are especially to cope with distributed objects, are introduced and discussed in detail for integration of simulation model. In this paper an architecture of model integration is proposed, which presents the whole procedure of model integration and how the Internet technologies are connected in. The central focus of this research is on the technical realization of integrating simulation models as distributed objects

In Kenya during the last one decade, public and private sectors have invested a lot of resources in computer based Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to improve the quality of education in schools. The main objective has been to integrate ICT in the delivery of curriculum in order to improve the quality of teaching-learning and to produce ICT literate workforce. The computer based technologies are used in management, pedagogy, and communication. This paper presents results from a study that was conducted in Nairobi County in Kenya to determine the key factors in the integration of computer based ICT in teaching-learning in pre-primary and lower primary schools. Results had revealed that the use of computer based ICT in teaching-learning by both pre-primary and lower primary schools was influenced by accessibility of resources, capacity to use the technology, availability of time, and provision of technical support.

Since 1996, the document exchange method by EDI has been introduced in port and logistics industries in Korea to enhance the declaration activities to the Pusan Port Authority and Customs. In spite of these efforts, users such as shipping companies, shipping agents, and freight forwarders have complained the inconvenience of using EDI systems. The major reasons can be summarized as follows: repetitional EDI transfer, too much transfer time, inconvenient EDI software, and problems on message receiving confirmation. Furthermore, EDI has been used only for transmitting messages. To solve these problems, this study has adopted the integration system by applying the concept of SCM to logistics system by XML/EDl. In the view of SCM, the existing EDI has some problems because its role is only to transmit the messages. This paper is to suggest how current EDI systems in Port and logistics sector has to be chanced by Introducing SCM. The integration system gives us such advantages as accuracy of cargo data, integration of processes among firms, and keeping the trace of cargo.

This paper describes the accurate inductance measurement of a switched reluctance motor (SRM). Conventionally, the inductance of the SRM is measured using the equivalent circuit of a stator phase or time constant of exponential current transient. This paper presents an effective method to measure the SRM inductance accurately and rapidly using automated voltage integration. The proposed method is validated experimentally by comparison with the existing equivalent circuit method (ECM) and the FEA(finite element analysis) simulation.

Inertial Navigation System(INS) provides short-term accurate navigation solution but its error grows with time due to integration characteristics. Meanwhile, Global Positioning System(GPS) provides long-term stable solution but it has poor error characteristics in high dynamic region. So for its synergistic relationship, an integrated INS/GPS systems has been widely used as an advanced navigation system. Generally, two kinds of integration method are used. One is loosely coupled mode which uses GPS-derived position and velocity as measurements in an integrated Kalman filter. The other is tightly coupled one which uses pseudorange and pseudorange rate as Kalman filter measurements. In this paper the system error models and observation models for two kinds of integrated systems are derived, respectively, and their performance are compared through Monte-Carlo simulations.

In this paper, an integrated S/W system from CAD to optimal design has been suggested and an application to a precision machine tool structure shown. The integrated system is so designed to reduce manual interfacing effort. An object-oriented programming language is used for combining 3-D CAD program, FEM and optimal design tools. In this system parametric modelling technique is applied and users can get the optimum design iteratively without much user intervention. The CAD model is automatically updated when the design parameters are transferred back to the CAD program. Not only design time can be dramatically reduced but unnecessary operation errors avoided by the integration.

This paper presents an approach to quantifying the costs and benefits of integrating ERP systems with project management systems, including potential time and cost savings. To properly identify the costs and the benefits, the paper shows the relevant construction information flows and the desired milestones in the integration process. The proposed benefit analysis model should allow construction firms considering the integration of their ERP systems with legacy systems or commercial project management software make informed decisions in regard to the existing alternatives in the early stages of decision making.

The dynamic simulation for automobile running on bumpy road is introduced. The modeling method that is a very close approximation to automobile is presented. Because the output printed at every integration time step is lots of amount, to save the time of interpretation of dynamic response, the ouptput data are interactively processed by PLOT88, also a configuration of automobile is generated by animated graphic displays using PADL and APPLICON.

최근 장애를 정의하는 새로운 패러다임이 형성되면서 장애인복지정책에 있어 사회통합의 비중은 더욱 확대되고 있으며, 특히 사회복지전달체계가 지역사회 중심으로 이루어지면서 지역사회통합에 대한 관심은 더욱 높아지고 있다. 본 연구는 이동권의 제약이 심하여 지역사회통합의 문제가 심각하게 드러날 수 있는 전국의 시각장애인 1,004명을 대상으로, 지역사회통합실태를 파악하고 지역사회통합수준에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 규명함으로써 시각장애인의 지역사회통합을 위한 정책적 함의를 도출하고자하였다. 주요한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시각장애인의 지역사회통합에 영양을 미치는 요인으로는 연령, 학력, 주관적 경제상태, 일상생활의 제약정도, 정서적 지원과 정보적 지원, 재활서비스 활용정도 등으로 나타났다. 둘째, 저시력 장애인과 전맹 장애인의 경우 공통적으로 일상생활제약과 가족이나 주변사람들의 정서적 지지가 지역사회통합정도에 영양을 미치고 있었다. 하지만 전맹 장애인은 의사소통 교육여부가, 저시력 장애인은 정보적 지원이나 재활서비스 활용수준이 지역사회통합정도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다 셋째, 학령기 이후 실명된 경우 학령전에 실명된 경우보다 일상생활에 제약받는 정도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 학령기 이후 장애인의 경우 정서적, 정보적 지원, 의사 교육 참가여부, 재활서비스 활용도가 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 실명시기가 늦은 경우 여러 가지 사회적 지지나 교육, 재활서비스를 통한 지원이 지역사회에 영양을 미치고 있었다. 결과적으로, 시각장애인의 사회적 통합을 향상시키기 위해서는 장애정도별, 장애발생 시기별로 구분된 특화된 서비스와 정책적인 마련이 시급함을 알 수 있다.
