The molten carbonate fuel cell has conspicuous feature and high potential in being used as an energy converter of various fuel to electricity and heat. However, the MCFC which use strongly corrosive molten carbonate at 650$^{\circ}C$ have many problem. Systematic investigation on corrosion behavior of Fe/20Cr/Ti alloys has been done in (62+38)mol% (Li+K)CO3 melt at 923K by using steady state polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy method. And, The research and development for the solid oxide fuel cell have been promoted rapidly and extensively in recent years, because of their high efficiency and future potential. Therefore this paper describes the manufacturing method and characteristics of anode electrode for SOFC, by the way , Ni-YSZ materials are used as anode of SOFC widely. So in this experiments, we investigated the optimum content of Ni, by the impedance characteristics, overvoltage. As a results, the performance of Ni-YSZ anode(40vo1%) was better excellent than the others.
Ceramics biomaterials are useful as implant materials in orthopedic surgery. In this study, porous HA(hydroxyapatite)/${\beta}$-TCP(tricalcium phosphate) composite biomaterials were successfully fabricated using HA/${\beta}$-TCP powders with 10-30 wt% $NH_4HCO_3$ as a space holder(SH) and $TiH_2$ as a foaming agent, and MgO powder as a binder. The HA/${\beta}$-TCP powders were consolidated by spark plasma sintering(SPS) process at $1000^{\circ}C$ under 20 MPa conditions. The effect of SH content on the pore size and distribution of the HA/${\beta}$-TCP composite was observed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and a microfocus X-ray computer tomography system(SMX-225CT). These microstructure observations revealed that the volume fraction of the pores increased with increasing SH content. The pore size of the HA/${\beta}$-TCP composites is about $400-500{\mu}m$. The relative density of the porous HA/${\beta}$-TCP composite increased with decreasing SH content. The porous HA/${\beta}$-TCP composite fabricated with 30%SH exhibited an elastic modulus similar to that of cortical bone; however, the compression strength of this composite is higher than that of cortical bone.
The migmatitic gneiss in the Odesan Gneiss Complex has small amount of quartzite, amphibolite and marble and the Kuryong Group which contact with migmatitic gneiss unconformitly, also contains some amphibolite. Preview studies of this area had regarded that the amphibolites contact with marble had been produced by metasomatism from the pelitic and calcareous sediments mixtures, but the amphibolite is reinterpreted as igneous origin. $SiO_2$ content of the amphibolite is 45.9~52.7 wt%, which corresponds to basaltic composition. MgO content has narrow range (4.6~6.87 wt%) and major and trace element are plotted against MgO,$TiO_2, P_2O_5$, Hf, Zr are reduced and Cr and Ni are increased their content with increasing MgO. This phenomenon indicates that the basaltic magma as the protolith of the amphibolite had frationated with the crystallization of the pyroxene and/or olivine. REE pattern has smoothly decrease from LREE to HREE. Eu/Eu(0.83~1.19) show the flat Eu anomaly, which indicate small fractional crystallization of plagioclase. HREE is enriched in the garnet-bearing amphibolites. Several discrimination diagram for the basaltic magma show that the amphibolite of the study area is originated tholeiitic basaltic magma indicating continental rift environment. Due to determine the metamorphic condition garnet-hornblende geothermometry and hornblende-plagioclase geobarometry are used. Peak metamorphic temperature range of the amphibolite $788~870^{\circ}C$ and is deduced toward the northeastern part. The calculated temperature from the amphibolite has slightly higher than the temperature of the metapelites but the trend of metamorphic grade which decrease from western to eastern part progradly is similar to each other. The metamorphic pressure calculated by garnet- hornblede-plagioclase geobarometry is 4~5kb. But ilmenite-plagioclase pair enclosed in garnet show 8 kb at $700^{\circ}C$ by garnet-ilmenite-rutile-plagioclase geobarometery. The zonal profile of garnet in sample 84 shows the bell-shape profile, which grossular content decreases whereas pyrope content increases progressively. This means that the amphibolite has undergone the clockwise P-T-t path which is shown in the migmatitic gneiss of the Odesan Gneiss Complex.

In this research, the composites (100-x)LCP-xBNT (x = 0, 10, 20, 30, 40 vol.%) were fabricated with thermoplastic LCP(Liquid Crystal Polymer) and BNT($BaNd_2Ti_4O_{12}$) which is a high frequency dielectric material. Their dielectric properties, mechanical strength and microstructure were investigated by Impedance analyser, Instron and SEM. In order to fabricate LCP-BNT composites, LCP resin was put into the twin screw type mixer($310^{\circ}C$), melted by keeping for 10 min. After that, BNT filler was dispersed with melted LCP resin for 15 min. in the mixer. For measuring the dielectric properties and mechanical strength, Composite specimens were made by pressing composite granule (LCP-BNT) with 7 ton in the mold at $310^{\circ}C$. With increasing the BNT content (0~40 vol.%) of the composite, Its dielectric constant increased, dielectric loss and flexural strength decreased. The dielectric constant and flexural strength of composites with 20~30 vol.% of BNT filler are 4.1~6.0 and 35~55 MPa respectively. BNT/LCP composite is the potential substrate material for the high frequency application.
No-doped PZT thin films have been fabricated on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrate using Sol-Gel technique. A fast annealing metho (three times of intermediate and final annealing) was used for the preparation of multi-coated 1800$\AA$ thick Nb-doped PZT thin films. As Nb doping percent was increased leakage current was lowered approximately 2 order but dielectic properties were degraded due to the appearance of pyrochlore phase and domain pinning. Futhermore the increase of the final annealing temperature up to 74$0^{\circ}C$lowered the pyrochlore phase content resulting in enhancing the dielectric properties of the Nb doped films. The 3%-Nb doped PZT thin films with 5% excess Pb showed a capacitance density of 24.04 fF/${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$2 a dielectric loss of 0.13 a switchable polarization of 15.84 $\mu$C/cm2 and a coercive field of 32.7 kV/cm respectively. The leakage current density of the film was as low as 1.47$\times$10-7 A/cm2 at the applied voltage of 1.5 V.

In this paper, the piezoelectric and dielectric properties as a function of x and a in $aPbZr_xTi_{1-x}O_3-(1-a)Pb(Mn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3$ + ywt%MgO is investigated. As a results, when a is 0.95 and x is 0.505, electromechanical coupling factor$(k_p)$, permittivity${\varepsilon}_33^T/{\varepsilon}_0$, piezoelectric strain constant$(d_{33})$ and mechanical quality factor$(Q_m)$ are 58 %, 1520, 272 pC/N and 1550, respectively. From XRD analysis, when x is 0.505, it is MPB which present rhombohedral and tetragonal phase in same quantity. Also, From SEM observation, when sintering temperature is $1150^{\circ}C$, grain size is about $2\;{\mu}m$. As a results added MgO dopant in the ternary piezoelectric ceramic, when MgO content is 0.1 wt%, $k_p$ increases to 63[%].

(Ba$\sub$0.6-x/Sr$\sub$0.4/Ca$\sub$x/)TiO$_3$(BSCT) (x=0.10, 0.15, 0.20) powder, prepared by the sol-Bel method, were mixed with organic binder and then BSCT thick films were fabricated by the screen printing techniques on alumina substrates using the BSCT paste. The structural and the dielectric Properties were investigated for various composition ratio and sintering temperature. The second phase appeared in BSCT(40/40/20) thick film sintered at 1450$^{\circ}C$. BSCT thick film thickness, obtained by four printings, was approximately 110∼120$\mu\textrm{m}$. The Curie temperature and dielectric constant at room temperature were decreased with increasing Ca content. The relative dielectric constant, dielectric loss and tunability of the BSCT(50/40/10) specimen, which was sintered at 1420$^{\circ}C$ and measured at 1MHz, were about 910, 0.46% and 9.28% at 5㎸/cm, respectively.
Ni-base superalloys are used extensively in industry, both in aeroengines and land based turbines. About 60% by weight of most modern gas turbine engine structural components are made of Ni-base superalloys. To satisfy practical demands, the efficiency of gas turbine engines has been steadily and systematically increased by design modifications to handle higher turbine inlet or firing temperatures. However, the increase in operating temperatures has lead to a decrease in the life of components and increase in costs of replacement. Moreover, around 80% of the large frame size industrial/utility gas turbines operating in the world today were installed in the mid-sixties to early seventies and are now 25 to 30 years old. Consequently, there are greater opportunities now to repair and refurbish the older models. Basically, there are two major factors influencing the weldability of the cast alloys: strain-age cracking and liquation cracking. Susceptibility to strain-age cracking is due to the total Ti plus AI content of the alloy; Liquation cracking is due either to the presence of low melting constituents or constitutional liquation of constituents. Though Rene 41 superalloy has 4.5wt.% total Ti and Al content and falls just below the safe limit proposed by Prager et al., controlled grain size and special heat treatments are needed to obtain crack-free welds. Varying heat treatments and filler materials were used in a laboratory study, then the actual welding of service parts was carried out to verity the possibility of crack-tree weld of components fabricated from Rene 41 superalloy. The microstructural observations indicated that there were two kinds of carbides in the FCC matrix. MC carbides were located along the grain boundaries, while M$_{23}$C$_{6}$ carbide was located both inter and intra granularly. Two kinds of filler materials, Rene 41 and Hastelloy X were used to gas tungsten arc weld a patch into the sheet metal, along with varying pre-weld heat treatments. The microstructure, hardness and tensile tests were determined. The service distressed parts were categorized into three classes: with large cracks, with medium cracks and with small or no visible cracks. No significant difference in microstructure among the specimens was observed. Specimens were cut from the corner and the straight edge of the patch repair, away from the corner. The only cracks present were found to be associated with inadequate surface preparation to remove oxidation. Guidelines for oxide removal and the welding procedures developed in the research enabled crack-free welds to be produced.d.
Development of a dental Ni-Cr alloy system for porcelain veneering crown and bridge was studied in this research. The principles of alloy design were a) It should not contain toxic beryllium. b) It should have low melting Point. c) It should be easily ground and polished. d) It should possess an adequate strength to resist the deformational force In the mouth. e) It should be bondable Ivith porcelain by chemically. After investigating the effect of minor elements such as boron and rare earth metals on the mechanical properties of the Ni-Cr alloy system, the compromised ideal composition for dental use was determined. The composition was l9.6%, Cr, 5.6% Mo, 3.4% Si, 1, 0% Fe, 0.01% Ti, 0.5-1.0% B, 0.2-0.6% misch metal, balance Ni. To compare the performance of experimental alloy with commercially available alloys, the properties such as strength, melting point, and bond strength were measured. The results Ivere as follows: a) Boron increases the strength of the alloy but reduces the elongation. b) Misch metal increases the strength when the boron content is low, but does not increase the strength when boron content is high. And it reduces the elongation drastically, c) Mechanical strength of the experimental alloy was not superior to commercially available Be containing alloy, but handling performance such as castability, ease of granting and polishing, and cuttability were superior to the Be containing alloy.
