The communication designer in the multimedia age should have a consideration that the sound also can be an important expression element to transmit ones thought as well as the visual sense like color, shape and motion. As you already know, someones thought can be better understood when transmitted to others using the visual and auditory senses together than using the visual or auditory sense alone. In this study, we suggest the education programs Classified into following categories; audio visual Gestaltung, audio visual moving graphics, audio visual design.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the long term tooth-brushing effect on the color change of specially treated IPS Empress porcelain surface. Staining techique with blue stain and liquid was used. The surfaces of the specimen were treated with 5% and 10% Hydrofluoric acid, 50mm and 250mm alumina sandblast, and then blue stain and liquid were used for external stain. After 29,200, 58,400, 87,600, 116,200 brushing strokes (equivalent to 2, 4, 6, 8 years each), color changes of the stained layer were measured with spectrophotometer(CM-3500d, MINOLTA, Tolkyo, Japan). The result of this study was obtained as follows : 1. The color changes were great after 29,200 tooth brushing strokes in every group, but from 29,200 strokes to 116,800 strokes, there were no significant color changes in each group. (p>0.05) 2. The greastest color changes were observed in 5% HF treated group and the least color changes were observed in $50{\mu}m$ aluminar sandblast treated group in every stroke (p<0.05), but no statistical difference between groups compared with control group (p>0.05). According to these results, pretreatment of I.P.S. Empress porcelain with alumina sandblast improved the color stability It is thought that about 8 year-tooth brushing strokes does not change the color of IPS Empress porcelain significantly on this condition, but long term follow-up will be needed.

This study is aimed at reviewing how the Orientalism trend is expressed in the modem fashion in terms of silhouette, color, materials, and detail. To this end, the geographic scope of this study is limited to China, Japan, Korea, while data are collected from fashion collections, domestic and foreign magazines since 2000's, literature, and internet sites. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: 1. Silhouette: the basic square silhouette of the Oriental traditional costume do not disturb the body movement and have an effected on design to smoothly follow the body line rather than cutting out materials into several parts or emphasize the curved body. 2. Color: due to the influence of the Oriental Zen thought, color trend seems to pursue simplicity rather than complexity, and natural aesthetics. In addition, the Oriental colorfulness shall not be ignored. 3. Materials: golden embroidered material, polished satin, jersey, tough or rough materials, etc. have used with materials of the Oriental traditional costume came into fashion. In pattern, the Orientalism trend is expressive of pattern by Chinese ink-spread technique, simple brush touch technique, cloud pattern, lotus flower pattern or dragon pattern, all of which feature the Oriental calm aesthetics or those motivated by the Oriental traditional patterns. 4. Detail: the techniques of handicrafts and manual arts such as meticulous embroidery, tassel or patchwork reflect well the Orientalism trend in the modem fashion.
This research is to investigate the perception and satisfaction of high school students for Saenghwal Hanbok school uniforms. With this study we will be able to provide useful information for clothing companies as well as schools which are planning to introduce Saenghwal Hanbok as a uniform. The research subjects included 446 high school students of Chungcheong and Gyeonggi areas. The results of this study are as follows: 1. Male students evaluated Saenghwal Hanbok affirmatively in terms of its activity convenience. Female students, on the other hand, thought highly of it in such aspects as modern beauty, aesthetic color, distinction, symmetry, wearability, tidiness, color harmony, color unity, decoration details, and suitability for special occasions as well as modem daily life. 2. The satisfaction with Saenghwal Hanbok as a school uniform stayed, on an average, below a mid-level. It appeared that high schools with long history showed more interest than comparatively newly-established schools. Also, students with obesity liked Saenghwal Hanbok more than normal students. 3. The students' demand for price cut was highest among other demands of Saenghwal Hanbok school uniform. In addition, almost all items including wearability, material, color, activity convenience, and patterns appeared to need more improving.

The purpose of this research is to understand the harmony of chromatic and achromatic colors of the traditional Korean dress. The subjects were women's college students in Korea and America. Chromatic colon, red, yellow, and green color, were chosen for the color of the Korean jacket, and achromatic colors were chosen for the color of the skirt, and then the colors' chroma were controlled and value of color was changed. In addition, the three colors of the jacket were combined with four kinds of the colors' tone. Then, the students of both countries assessed about the harmony for 48 colorations which were variously incorporated with the tones of skirt and jacket. The results of research can be summarized as follows. When red jackets were combined with skirts of achromatic colors, students of both counties showed the different views in the range of harmony and disharmony for colorations of white(N9) skin and vivid jacket, and white(N9) skirt and dark jacket, and black(N2) skirt and light jacket, and black(N2) skirt and dull jacket. In the tone of yellow jackets and achromatic skirts, students of both counties showed similar responses in that a light yellow jacket was well matched with dark grey(N4) and black(N2) skirt. While Korean students generally evaluated that coloration was well harmonized when low value color was arranged below, American students thought, that the tones of a harmonized skirt were different, according to the jacket's tones. When green jackets were combined with stills of achromatic colors, colorations that showed their different views of both countries were a white(N9) skirt combined with vivid, light, dull jackets, and a light grey(N7) skirt and dull jacket, and a dark grey(N4) skirt and dark jacket. Among 48 stimuli of coloration on the chromatic and achromatic colors, Korean students evaluated 16sets and American students judged 28 sets as harmonized colors. Therefore, it came to the conclusion that Korean students had the sense of harmonious coloration of more narrow range than American students.
This study investigated the influence of pH on the color development of melanoidins formed from amino acid enantiomer model systems. For this, the color development was evaluated by measuring browning at 420 nm and color measurements by spectrophotometry and colorimetry. The browning and browning index showed no difference according to the type of amino acid enantiomers, while that formed from the D-Asn system was the only difference according to pH level. The tristimulus value of melanoidins formed from all model systems was located on a dominant wavelength of 475 nm, the blue zone of the diagram. In addition, the $L^*$, $a^*$, $b^*$, $C^*_{ab}$ values, and ${\Delta}E^*$ index on the basis of the type of amino acid enantiomers, the differences were markedly found at pH 4.0. At pH 7.0, significantly differences were found in the $L^*$, $a^*$, $b^*$ values, and ${\Delta}E^*$ index and not in the case of the lysine enantiomers. In addition, at pH 10.0, the differences were found in the $a^*$ and $b^*$ values from the lysine enantiomers and $C^*_{ab}$ value from the asparagine enantiomers. Therefore, the color development of melanoidins was influenced by the type of amino acid enantiomers and pH levels. Especially, it is thought that the $a^*$ and $b^*$ values can be used to explain the differences among the amino acid enantiomers in the color development of melanoidins.
Background : The purpose of this study is to verify the type of influence on the skin color according to the photoaging symptoms depending on the degree of external activities among the factors that influence the skin due to UV exposure and to obtain the basic study data on the physical therapy of the skin. Methods : In this study, in order to investigate the type of influence on the skin color according to the photoaging symptoms when the body is exposed to the UV rays having various effects on our body, a study was conducted using questionnaires and skin color measurement tool targeting 20 male college soccer students with many external activities and the senior high school students who has relatively less external activities due to the preparation for college entrance. The skin color was measured and the results were compared. Result : In the test group having relatively higher external activities, while they had less use of the sunscreen, they had more degree of UV exposure, and for the recognition of ultraviolet hazard, more were aware that it was harmful. In addition, in the skin color measurement test conducted targeting the son and the father in order to investigate the association between the skin color and the genetic factors, the experimental group showed a significant difference(p<.05) but the control group did not show any significant difference(p>.05). Conclusion : Based on such study results, the UV exposure time and the use of sunscreen are thought to be an important factor in the skin care.
Purpose: TiN films were deposited on sus304 by unbalanced magnetron sputtering system which was designed and developed as unbalancing the strength of the magnets in the magnetron electrode. The color and hardness of deposited TiN films was investigated. Methods: The cross sections of deposited films on silicon wafer were observed by SEM to measure the thickness of the films, the components of the surface of the films were identified by XPS, the components of the inner parts of the films were observed by XPS depth profiling. XPS high resolution scans and curve fittings of deposited films were performed for quantitative chemical analysis, Vickers micro hardness measurements of deposited films were performed with a nano indenter equipment. Results: The colors of deposited films gradually changed from light gold to dark gold, light violet, and indigo color with increasing of the thickness. It could be seen that the color change come from the composite change of three compound,$TiO_{x}N_{y}$, $TiO_2$, TiN. Especially, the composite change of$TiO_{x}N_{y}$ compound was thought to affect the color change with respect to thickness. Conclusions: Deposited films had lower than the value of general TiN film in Vickers hardness, which was caused by mixing three TiN, $TiO_2$,$TiO_{x}N_{y}$ compound in the deposited films. The increasing and decreasing of micro hardness with respect to thickness was thought to have something to do with the composite of TiN in the films.
With the recent increase of sensitivity to decors, there has been an ever-increasing significance of exhibiting the beauty of the outer looks of an article. This trend has necessarily led to the diversification and also specialization of the color scheme activities. And so, it is inevitable that we should form the substantial ideas of the color scheme and further on, enhance the efficacy of its orientation under the prevailing circumstances. Now, we come to a realization that we must first take a glance at the whole picture of the arrays of color embedded in a variety of articles in the sixties and seventies of the 20th century, a bold introduction of color designs, thereby tracing the birth of color designs and finding a meaning in its mechanism. This study begins with the obtaining of a large collection of articles in those days, along with the literature on the commercial effects color suggest, and looking into the background of their trend and finding a meaning that underlies what these colors suggest. The general idea of those color designs exemplifies that the color selection was none other than the simplicity and convenience in the making of things in doser relation to the easy selling. With the advance of material quality and enhancement of the industrial idealism, it has been proved that color plays an important role in depicting the image of quality and tastes of class. In that role color has been given the indicator of visual delights and differentials in quality articles. All this has been reflected in a diversity of articles: for instance, white for household appliances, prime color for living necessaries and natural color for the decore like furniture. Formerly, after all, people used to have little regard for color. What is color for, it was thought, in relation to the selling image of articles? That is wily our preceding generation pays attention only to the first-hand looks of articles, neglecting the intensive study on color. We are beginning to understand what image a certain color scheme evokes in our feeling.
The Korean traditional color passed down over countless generations has surpassed both surpassed both time and space and continue today to breathe life into its people's everyday. In order to clarify the characteristics of Korean traditional color blue and red, we investigate the names of them and measured the color tones of textile remains in Chosun era. The characteristics of Korean traditional color blue and red have been surveyed by means of the examination of color names in many famous literatures in Chosun era. Korean terms for color tones were characterized by enormous variety of epithes crowned on them. The color names mentioned contain many unaccountable epithes which were characterized also deep colors and light colors were dominant in it. As a means of enhancing possibilities within limited colors, the commoners increased the names for varying tones of blue color group(32kinds) and red color group(40kinds). These "blue(indigo dyeing)' and 'red(safflower dyeing)' in Chosun era were shown very high frequency in use and the costume colors in Royal Court. With combination of these various blue and red colors they represented a thought of color based on Yinyang Theory and created a polished aesthetic taste. The color samples of textile remains in museum were measured and designated by Munsell color system and the ISCC-NBS color designation system. THe appeared rates were derived on Chosun era and features of colors using on the period were discussed. We aim to present specific recipes in indigo dyeing and safflower dyeing for using our apparel product and folk art.
