The purpose of this study was specifically focused on the lower garment sizing system of adolescent apparel, especially on trousers for adolescent boys. Research Method was performed by using the physical measurements of adolescent boys ($14\sim19$ years old, n=1,344) based on the 'he fifth Korean national physical standard reports' surveyed by SIZEKOREA. The basic materials for this study are obtained from the observations of physical characteristics and classification of physical figures based on the characteristics from waist down. The results from this study are as follows. 1) according to the analyses of physical changes, most items including height, circumference, length, breadth and depth were increased at the age of $14\sim18$ and gradually reduced at the age of 19. 2) The factors which compose the lower body resulted were appeared that the first factor was vertical factor, the second factor was horizontal factor, the third factor was hip length, and the last factor was buttlock-popliteal length. 3) Formalization of physical figures for adolescent boy's lower body analyzed from factors grouped three types. 4) The basic parts that we used to propose the apparel sizing system distinguished by physical figures were Waist Circumference (Omphalion) (every 3cm regular gap) and Hip Circumference (irregular gap). Physical figures assigned 5 to Type T, and 4 to type M. The reference measurement items were divided into 7 items which are correlated with apparel manufacture.

Data were obtained from the second, third, and fourth waves of the middle school student cohort (N=3,168) of the Korean Youth Panel Survey. The major longitudinal findings of this study are as follows: First, adolescent abuse was found to have a positive association with future informal labeling. Second, informal labeling was found to have a negative association with future academic achievement. Finally, the longitudinal relationship between adolescent abuse and academic achievement was partially mediated by informal labeling. Based on these results, this study suggests directions for adolescent abuse prevention. This study examined the contents of 'Adolescent's Consumption Life' unit in 12 Technology Home Economics textbooks used in the 2009 revised curriculum to analyze the contents of school consumer education. The main summary of this study is as follows: First, the contents of consumer education in the unit of 'Adolescent's Consumption Life' consisted of five criteria including the understanding of adolescent consumer, consumer's right and responsibility, reasonable purchase, resolution to consumer problems, and the formation of new consumption culture. Second, significant differences were found in the contents of consumer education among textbooks because basic concepts have been not been clearly defined yet. Third, essential content was either omitted or hard to understand. Thus, some contents elaborations were inappropriate for students' level. Fourth, there were some limitations in drawing interest and attention from learners and developing dispute resolution competence, since the textbooks mainly comprised the theory-oriented contents of consumer education. Fifth, cautious consideration needs to be taken with regards to clear understanding of basic concepts and systematic and consistent contents composition for coherent and organized school consumer education. These research findings are anticipated to provide basic information of Technology Home Economics textbooks to teachers, and will be utilized as basic data in organizing textbook contents or developing efficient teaching-learning programs for consumer education.

This study examined the dietary habits and nutrition quotient (NQ) scores according to leftover food during school meal services among middle school students in the Gyeonggi region. A survey on the dietary habits was conducted among 405 male and female middle school students located in Seongnam City, Gyeonggi Province. The amount of leftover food in the school meals was surveyed using the visual method through a questionnaire over two days. The survey was conducted from July 8, 2019, to July 12, 2019. After calculating the average total leftovers of each student over the two days, they were categorized into the following three groups: the top third was the large leftover group. The middle third was the medium leftover group, and the lower third was the small leftover group. The characteristics of the groups that had leftovers were analyzed. Female, normal-weight, and underweight students accounted for a greater proportion of the large leftover group than male, overweight, and obese students. The rates of selective eating and compliance with new food intake were significantly lower in the large leftover group than in the small leftover group. A comparison of the nutrition quotient for the adolescent (NQ-A) scores of each group revealed significantly lower scores of the large leftover group for all factors (balance, moderation, food diversity, practice, and environment) than the small leftover group. Therefore, there are statistically significant differences in the dietary habits, nutritional quality, and eating behaviors of middle school students that are associated with the amount of leftover food during school meals.
