적외선 굴절식 건조기에서 열전달 및 건조 특성 해석 (Analysis of Heat Transfer and Drying Characteristics in the Dryer Using the Refraction of Radiation)

  • Analysis of drying characteristics has been carried out with one-dimensional model in the dryer using the principle of the refraction of radiation. The dryer is composed of hot water tank, plastic film conveyer belt, drying material, etc. The model considers the con-duction and radiation within the plastic film and drying material. The film is semitransparent to radiation and the drying material is assumed to be semitransparent or opaque to radiation. The results show that the effect of radiative transfer on the drying rate is relatively large when the thickness of drying material is small and the water temperature is high. When the material is thin, the drying rate due to conduction is also enhanced and the drying time can considerably be reduced.

  • We have examined the effect of physical drying and annealing conditions for the soluble derivatives of polythiophene as p-type channel materials of organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) in our special designed drying system; performances of the jetting-processed OTFTs can be improved more than 10 times just by optimizing the physical conditions of drying and annealing.

폴리머-탄소나노튜브 복합체 에어로졸 입자의 생성 및 이를 이용한 하이브리드 복합체 박막 제조 (Synthesis of Polymer-Carbon Nanotubes Composite Nanoparticles and Their Applications into Forming Hybrid Composite Thin Films)

  • In this paper, we describe a new method to form polymer thin films, in which carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are homogeneously distributed so that they can strengthen the mechanical property of resulting polymer film. To do so, we first homogeneously mixed CNTs with polymer in a DMF solvent. With the assistance of ultrasonic nebulizer, the polymer/CNT solution was then aerosolized into micro-sized droplets and finally turned into solidified polymer/CNT composite particles by gas-phase drying process. As the results of SEM and TEM analysis, CNTs were found to be homogeneously immobilized in the polymer matrix particles due to rapid drying process in the gas phase. For comparison purpose, (i) the polymer/CNTs composite particles prepared by aerosol processing method and (ii) polymer/CNTs sheets prepared by simple solution-evaporation method were employed to form polymer/CNTs composite thin films using a hot press. As the result, the aerosol processing of composite particles was found to be a much more effective method to form homogeneously distributed-CNTs in the polymer matrix thin film.

초소수성 표면특성을 갖는 폴리프로필렌 박막형성 (Formation of Polypropylene Thin Films with Superhydrophobic Surface)

  • Polypropylene의 농도와 코팅 막의 건조 온도 및 나노실리카의 첨가량의 변화 등 polypropylene 박막 제조를 위한 공정 변수들이 박막의 표면 형상 및 특성에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. Polypropylene의 농도가 30 mg/mL인 경우에 $30^{\circ}C$의 건조 온도로 90 min 동안 93 mTorr의 진공 조건으로 최대 접촉각 $154^{\circ}$를 갖는 초소수성 polypropylene 박막을 얻을 수 있었다. 용매 휘발을 위한 진공 오븐에서의 건조 온도가 증가함에 따라 박막의 거칠기가 감소하여 접촉각이 낮아지는 효과를 가져왔다. Polypropylene-실리카 복합막은 박막 내에 나노실리카의 함유량의 증가에 따라 박막 표면이 미세 다공성 구조에서 미세 구형 구조물로 변환되면서 접촉각의 증가로 초소수성 표면 특성을 보였다.

Sol-Gel 법으로 제작한 PZT이종층 박막의 운전 및 누설전류 특성 (Dielectric Properties and Leakage Current Characteristics of PZT Heterolayered Thin Films by the Sol-Gel Method)

  • In this work, PZT(20/80)/(80/20) heterolayered thin film that has the tetragonal and rhombohedral structure was fabricated by Sol-Gel method spin-coated on the Pt/Ti/$SiO_2$/Si substrate by turns. The thickness of PZT-1 film obtained by six-times of drying/sintering process was about 480[nm]. This procedure was repeated several times to form PZT heterolayered thim film. PZT-5 thin films with top layer of tetragonal PZT(20/80) thin film showed dense grain structure and PZT-6 thin film with top layer of rhombohedral PZT(80/20) thin film showed the microstructure without rosette. Dielectric constant increased with increasing the number of coatings, and it was about 13S5 at PZT-6 thin film. Dielectric loss was not depend on the number of coatings.

  • [ $Pb_{0.72}La_{0.28}TiO_3$ ] (PLT(28)) 박막을 sol-gel 법을 이용하여 제작한 후, 그 특성을 조사하여 ULSI DRAM 의 캐패시터 절연막으로서의 적용 가능성을 연구하였다. Sol-gel 법의 출발 물질로는 acetate 계를 사용하였다. TGA-DTA 분석을 통하여 PLT(28) 박막의 sol-gel 법에 의한 공정 조건을 확립하였다. 매 coating 후 $350^{\circ}C$ 에서 drying 하고, 마지막으로 $650^{\circ}C$ 에서 annealing 하여 $100\%$ perovskite 구조를 가지는 치밀하고 crack 이 없는 PLT(28) 박막을 얻었다. $Pt/Ti/SiO_2/Si$ 기판 위에 PLT(28) 박막을 형성하여 전기적 특성을 측정하였다. 그 결과 유전 상수와 누설전류밀도가 각각 936 과 $1.1{\mu}A/cm^2$ 으로 측정되었다.

상압건조 물유리 에어로젤에 대한 표면개질제의 영향 (Surface modifiers on the waterglass aerogels prepared by ambient drying process)

  • Silica aerogel with ultra low density and high porosity has been focused on versatile application due to its fascinating properties. Ambient drying process of waterglass, in this study was researched to fabricate a crack-free monolith body in the point view of cost effective way. Wet gel was obtained by removing of $Na^{+}$ ions in waterglass, which contains 8 wt% of $SiO_{2}$. Xylene, which has a low vapor pressure, was used as a solution substitutor to prevent the formation a cracks during drying. Various surface modifiers like as hexamethyldisilazane (HMDSZ), trimethylchlorosilane (TMCS), methyltriethoxylsilane (MTES), methyltrimethoxysilane (MTMS) and phenyltriethoxysilane (PTES) were used in order to improve hydrophobicity of the waterglass Silica aerogel. Some physical properties of the surface modified aerogels were investigated by FT-IR, TGA, BET and SEM. Hydrophobicity and hydrophilicity of Silica aerogel is attributed to the Si-OH bond and the non-polar C-H bond groups on the surface of aerogel. Crack-free waterglass aerogel with >90 % of porosity, 17 nm of pore size and <0.15 $g/cm^{3}$ of density was prepared. HMDSZ and TMCS are effective as a surface modifier

상압건조 나노다공성 실리카 에어로젤에 대한 용매의 영향 (Influence of solvent on the nano porous silica aerogels prepared by ambient drying process)

  • Nano porous, transparent silica aerogels monoliths were prepared under ambient drying (1 atm, $270^{\circ}C$) condition by the combination of sol-gel process and surface modification with subsequent heat treatment. Three kinds of solvent, n-hexane, n-heptane and xylene, were selected in the point view of low surface tension and vapor pressure in order to restrain a formation of cracks during drying. Crack-free silica aerogels with over 93 % of porosity and below $0.14g/cm^3$ of density were obtained by solvent exchange and surface modification under atmosphere condition. Optimum solvent was confirmed n-heptane among these solvents through estimation of FT-IR, TGA, BET and SEM. Modified silica aerogel exhibited a higher porosity and pore size compare to unmodified aerogels. Hydrophobicity was also controled by C-H and H-OH bonding state in the gel structure and heat treatment over $400^{\circ}C$ effects to the hydrophobicity due to oxidation of C-H radicals.

Effect of heat-treatment on the structural and electrical properties of ZnO thin films by the sol-gel method

  • Zinc oxide (ZnO) thin films were prepared by a sol-gel method. The structural and electrical properties were investigated by varying drying and annealing temperatures. The thin films were coated (250 nm) by spin-coating method on glass substrates. The optimum drying temperature of ZnO thin films was 300$^{\circ}C$ where the resistivity was the lowest and the preferred c-axis orientation was the highest. The annealing was carried out in air and inert atmospheric conditions. The degree of the preferred c-axis orientation was estimated. The highest preferred c-axis orientation was recorded at 600$^{\circ}C$. The preferred c-axis orientation and grain growth resulted in the mobility enhancement of the ZnO thin films, and the lowest resistivity was 0.62${\Omega}{\cdot}cm$ at 600$^{\circ}C$.
