보행보조 재활 로봇 착용에 따른 쾌적성 평가 (Comfort Evaluation by Wearing a Gait-Assistive Rehabilitation Robot)

  • This study analyzed a subject's body reaction and subjective sensation when wearing a gait-assistive rehabilitation robot. The research method measured skin and clothing surface temperatures for 'seating-standing' and 'walking in place' exercises after wearing a gait-assistive rehabilitation robot. In addition, subjective sensation and satisfaction were evaluated on a 7-point Likert scale. The study results showed that the average skin temperature during exercise while wearing the gait-assistive rehabilitation robot was within a comfortable range. However, during the 'seating-standing' exercise, the skin temperature was slightly lowered. Additionally, the clothing surface temperature tended to be lower than the pre-exercise temperature after all exercises. The subjective sensation evaluation results showed that the wear comfort of the waist part was low during mobility/activity. In addition, an overall improvement in the wear comfort of the robot is necessary. The short-time movement of wearing and walking in the gait-assistive rehabilitation robot did not interfere with the thermal comfort of the body. However, the robot needs to be ergonomically improved in consideration of the long wearing time along with improved material that to satisfy overall wearing comfort.

  • 본 논문에서는 온열환경 평가를 위한 다채널 온습도 분포측정 시스템을 개발하기 위하여 인체의 쾌적성에 영향을 미치는 온열환경요소를 분석, 이를 적용하기 위한 측정시스템의 설계개념과 요구사양에 고나하여 고찰하였다. 정밀도를 확보하기 위하여 센서의 응답성과 회로의 선형화에 관한 연구를 수행하고 사용자 편의를 도모하기 위한 분석 소프트웨어를 설계하였다. 소프트웨어는 의복내의 온열환경과 실내공간의 온열환경을 분석하기 위한 것으로 나누어져 있고 각각의 소프트웨어는 전처리와 후처리 프로그램 그리고 측정시스템과의 통신 인터페이스를 포함하고 있다. 이와 같은 설계 개념을 반영하여 다채널 온습도 분포측정 시스템이 개발될 경우, 각종 온열환경에 관한 연구에 널리 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

A NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION OF INDOOR AIR QUALITY WITH CFD

  • Macao, a city with three sides bounded by water, is hot and humid in weather in more than six months of a year. This uncomfortable weather induces the frequency of operating air-conditioners. Choice of location for installation of air-conditioner in a building will affect the performance of cooling effect and thermal comfort on the occupants, which in turn will affect the indoor air quality (IAQ) of the building. In the paper, investigation of distribution on carbon dioxide, room air temperature and velocity, as well as air diffusion performance index (ADPI) of a single bedroom in Macao is studied by using the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software FLOVENT 3.2. Simulations of locating the air-conditioner at 4 different walls will be done and comparisons and analyses of the results will be performed to decide a proper location for the air-conditioner for obtaining good thermal comfort.

습도 변화에 따른 뇌파 기반 생체신호 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Variation of Physiology Signals based on EEG with Humidity)

  • Subjects with 0.7[clo]'s amount of clothing were estimated on their thermal comfort, concentrativeness, heart rate variability, stress and fatigue degree when given variation in relative humidity to 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, and 80[RH%], in an environmental test room of temperature 25[$^{\circ}C$], illumination 1000[lux] and air velocity 0.02[m/sec], by using EEG, learning ability and HRV. At the result, it was at 50~60[RH%] of relative humidity that subject's thermal comfort and concentrativeness were at the highest while stress were at the lowest, and it was at 60[RH%] of relative humidity that heart rate variability was most stabilized. It was found that when temperature and humidity of the environmental test room are at 25[$^{\circ}C$] and 50~60[RH%], subject's productivity and psychological state are least affected.

대학(大學) 캠퍼스내(內) 야외공간(野外空間)의 여름철 미기후(微氣候)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A study on the Thermal Environment of Open Spaces on Campus during Summer)

  • Microclimate of open spaces on campus tends to be important because it is related with people's comfort and it can influences their behaviors in outdoor during summer. Climatic components for 4 points, concrete paving, lawn, landscaped pergola and nearby forest on university campus were measured and evaluated. The results show that the air temperatures on paving such as concrete and lawn under the direct solar radiation were higher than the temperatures of canopied spaces such as pergora and nearby forest by up to $7^{\circ}C$ during summer. Characteristics of temperatures on lawn were similar to those on concrete paving. After evaluation, concrete surface was worst among 4 points, while landscaped pergola was the most effective facility in terms of thermal comfort during summer.

더운환경에서의 냉각조끼의 착용효과에 관한 연구 (Effectiveness of Cooling Vest in Hot Environment)

  • Cooling garments are being considered for reducing heat strain in hot environment. We evaluated the effectiveness of ice gel-based cooling vest in hot environment both resting and exercising. Four male subjects were exposed to heat(4$0^{\circ}C$, 50%RH) with vest or without it. The results were as follows; In case of the trial wearing ice gel-based cooling vest, total body weight loss, and local sweat volume were less than those without it. Mean skin temperature, rectal temperature, pulse, energy expenditure, temperature of inside clothes, and humidity of inside also were lower than those without cooling vest. By subjective thermal sensation, subjective humidity sensation, and thermal comfort sensation, it was proved that non-wearing vest decreased comfort than wearing that. These results suggested that wearing ice gel-based cooling vest reduced human heat strain in hot environment both resting and exercising.

퍼지 논리를 이용한 자동차 기후제어기 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Automotive Climate Controller Using Fuzzy Logic)

  • These days, the fuzzy logic or the fuzzy set theory has received attention from a number of researchers in the area of industrial application. Moreover, the fuzzy logic control has been successfully applied to a large numbers of control problems where the conventional control methods had failed. Using this control theory we designed a climate controller for an automotive climate control system whose mathematical model is difficult. This paper describes an automotive climate control where the fuzzy control has been used to stabilize parameter uncertainties and disturbance effects. To show the validity and effectiveness of the proposed control method, the fuzzy logic controller was implemented with a philips 80C552 microcomputer chip and tested in an actual vehicle. From the experimental results, it could be conduced that the proposed controller is superior to conventional controllers in both control performance and thermal comfort. The climate control system in cars is difficult to model mathematically so we tested a fuzzy logic control system which promised better results.

  • 인간 감성변화의 기본인 피부온도 및 피복내 온습도 측정을 위한 시스템과 감성공학적 해석을 위한 보다 정밀하고 안정성이 있는 센서의 응답성 및 회로의 선형화에 대한 연구를 수행하고, 의복내 환경평가 및 실내 온습도 측정등의 다양한 감성공학적 해석을 위한 소프트웨어의 개발이 본 연구의 목적이다. 본 연구에는 손쉬운 온습도 변환장치와 풍부한 저장능력등 다양한 분야에서 활용이 가능한 온습도 측정기와 이에 필요한 센서를 개발하고 측정기의 선형화특성을 평가하였다.

VAV 시스템의 현장 운전방식에 따른 에너지 성능평가 (Energy Performance Evaluation of VAV System through Various Operating Strategies in Office Buildings)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of various control strategies in commercial buildings which have been operated by the variable air volume (VAV) system. Two buildings in Seoul were chosen for the field study. The one (D building) combined by LonWorks has the constant airflow of supply fan and the proportional control of VAV units (damper type). The other (S building) combined by DDC has the PI control mode of the supply fan and the floating control of VAV units (venturi type). In estimating thermal comfort and energy performance through control modes of PI, PID, and CAV in the supply fan, we could identify several energy efficient operating control strategies for the VAV system.

  • This study analyze indoor thermal comfort properties such as PMV, PPD and fluid variables when the cooling loads are light, occupant and ventilation. There are 6 cases to study for the indoor unit installation conditions and ventilation rates. Numerical method is used to study the indoor environmental properties and experimental study is adapted to analyze reaching time by variable cooling load conditions.
