폴리머 윤활베어링의 특성과 응용 (Characteristics and Application of Polymer Lubricating Bearings)

  • The use of microporous polymer lubricants (MPLs) can eliminate the storage, sealing, and pumping problems associated with liquid lubricants, This paper discusses the use of MPLs for a component as rolling-element bearings. An MPL composed of 40% HDPE and 60% ester oil was synthesized and the MPL was applied to a ball bearing. The MPL ball bearing, filled with the MPL instead of the usual grease pack, tested and compared with the usual grease sealed ball bearing. The MPL applied to a ball bearing showed lubricant properties as good as usual grease, and showed higher performance in bearing oil leakage test, rotating torque test and thermal test at high speed running than usual grease.

CNT 열전달 물질에 의한 50W LED의 방열 성능평가 (Performance Evaluation of Heat Radiant for 50W LED by the CNT Thermal Interface Material)

  • In this study, cooling and heat-transfer tests are performed to compare and evaluate the thermal conductivity in a prepared CNT TIM (thermal interface material). A polymerized CNT heat-transfer resin and commercial thermal grease (Shinetsu G-747) were applied for a comparison test in both cases. Cooling experiments with an aluminum foil specimen were performed in order to measure the temperature distribution using an infrared camera, and in heat radiation experiments, performance testing of the thermal conductivity was conducted using high-power LEDs. Carbon resin with the polymerization of graphite and carbon black, and CNT-polymerized CNT resin with graphite and carbon black were tested and compared with using G-747. It was found that the cooling performance and the heat transfer ability in both the carbon resin and the CNT-polymerized CNT resin were greater than those of G-747 because the temperature by 5. $0^{\circ}C$ in both cases appeared lower than that of the G-747.

  • The numbers of synthetic greases have been developed with synthetic oils because of their excellent performance factors including thermal/oxidation stability, low-temperature fluidity and plastic compatibility. Long life under high-temperature condition and excellent low-temperature fluidity are required to serve as grease for bearings of engine room electrical component. As many plastics are used in place of metals for the purpose of weight saving, synthetic hydrocarbon grease is in use to avoid adverse effect on plastics. Other various special synthetic greases are also in use depending on specific requirements like conductivity and vacuum condition.

펠티어 소자를 이용한 40[W]급 LED 조명기구의 방열에 관한 연구 (Research on Heat-Sink of 40Watt LED Lighting using Peltier Module)

  • 본 논문은 MCPCB에 다수의 와트급 LED를 모듈화하여 조명기구로 사용함에 따라 발생하는 열을 해결하기 위한 제안이다. LED가 조명기구로 사용되려면 칩의 용량이 커야하며 이 결과 P-N접합부의 열이 증가하게 됨으로 이를 해결하기 위해 펠티어 소자와 방열판 그리고 Fan을 설치하여 온도변화특성을 측정하였다. 또한 부가적으로 냉각소자와 방열판을 접속하는 열전도판, 단열재, Thermal Grease에 따른 온도변화특성을 실험하였다. 그 결과 방열판의 종류 및 체적에 따른 온도 변화가 가장 중요한 요소로 나타났다. Fan의 on, off에 따른 온도변화는 최대 $18[^{\circ}C]$의 변화폭을 주었으며 부가적 재료들도 $2{\sim}3[^{\circ}C]$의 온도변화에 영향을 주어 무시할 수 없는 요소임을 확인하였다.

  • 고온에서 화학적역안정성 및 기계적안정성의 섬유구조를 갖기 위해 lithim complex gellant로 정한 지방산과 $LiOH\cdot H_2O$ 및 boric acid의 이차연속검화반응으로 lithium dual complex 그리이스를 합성하였다. complex gellant의 양은 14%(NLGI 2호)가 적정량이었으며, 특히 castor wax를 1.5% 첨가했을때 이상적인 성능을 나타냈다. 이렇게 합성한 그리이스의 유분리성, 산화안정성, 내수성, 혼화안정성, 극압 및 내마모성은 ASTM 및 KS 방법에 준해 시험하였으며, 매우 우수한 특성을 지녔음을 알았다.

접촉열전도재를 도포한 접촉열저항 특성연구 (Characterization of Thermal Contact Resistance Doped with Thermal Interface Material)

  • This paper describes the thermal contact resistance and its effect on the performance of thermal interface material. An ASTM D 5470 based apparatus is used to measure the thermal interface resistance. Bulk thermal conductivity of different interface material is measured and compared with manufacturers' data. Also, the effect of grease void in the contact surface is investigated using the same apparatus. The flat type thermal interface tester is proposed and compared with conventional one to consider the effect of lateral heat flow. The results show that bulk thermal conductivity alone is not the basis to select the interface material because high bulk thermal conductivity interface material can have high thermal contact resistance, and that the center voiding affects the thermal interface resistance seriously. On the aspect of heat flow direction, thermal impedance of the lateral heat flow shows higher than that of the longitudinal heat flow by sixteen percent.

Display 제조공정 배출가스 처리를 위한 휘발성 유기화합물 전처리 장치 개발 (Development of Volatile Organic Compound Pretreatment Device for Removing Exhaust Gas from Display Manufacturing Process)

  • 본 연구에서는 최근 반도체 및 display 산업이 발달함에 따라 문제가 되고 있는 휘발성 유기화합물의 전처리에 관해 조사하였다. 일반적인 VOCs 처리 설비인 직접연소장치에 사용되는 농축기는 display 제조 공정 내 배출가스에 의해 쉽게 오염되어 성능저하를 일으키며 결과적으로 VOCs의 처리 효율을 떨어뜨린다. 배출가스 성분 분석 결과 고비점, 고점도, 고분자량의 Alcohol류 및 Oil 성분이 다량 검출되었다. 이에 전처리 설비 내 열교환기를 이용하여 농축기 성능저하 물질을 응축시켜 처리하고자 하였고, 대부분의 물질을 90% 이상 처리하였다. 또한 열교환기에서 재 비산되는 고분자 Oil 등은 후처리 설비로 Grease Filter를 장착하여 대부분 처리할 수 있는 것으로 확인되었다.

  • This paper reports the wear characteristics of two types of coating materials, which are $Cr_2O_3$ and $ZrO_2$, by coated plasma thermal spray method. The wear test was carried out under air, grease, and bearing fluid conditions. The wear testing machine of a pin-on disk type were used to measure friction forces, friction coefficients and the weight losses of the coating specimens on the various sliding velocity and loading condition. The wear surface of specimens were observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) photographs.

  • This paper is to investigate the wear behaviors of two type ceramics, $Al_{2}O_{3}\;and\;TiO_{2}$, by coated plasma thermal spray method under the lubricative environment. The lubricative environments are grease fluids, a general hydraulic fluids, and bearing fluids. The wear testing machine used a pin on disk type. Wear characteristics, which were friction force, friction coefficient and the specific wear rate, according to the lubricative environments were obtained at the four kinds of load and sliding velocity is 0.2 m/sec. After the wear experiments, the wear surfaces of the each test specimen were observed by a scanning electronic microscope.
