A Study onImproving the Transferring Efficiency of Information in the Object-oriented Development Notation Methodologies Based on Cognitive Theory (인지이론에 기초한 객체지향 개발 표기법들의 정보전달 효율 제공 관한 연구)

  • For the object-oriented development methods authorized by OMG a number of official methodologies such as Booch, Coad/Yourdon methods are used in the development of the object-oriented soft ware and each methodology represents its process of analysis and design using different symbols. Between those notation methodologies there exist some differences as a matter of development, information for transfer, accordingly they act on the transfer of the information in the object-oriented development as obstacle and give rise to they natural outcome of error. The aim of this study is in the presentation of ideas that decrease the probability of errors by means of verify8ing the transferring ability of information which the existing diagrammatic notation methodologies have had on the basis of cognitive science, minimizing the cognitive load from the object-oriented development through enhancing symbols in each obstacles to transferring information and removing them.

  • Normally, formalization and standardization are followed while doing any system analysis and design. But, in actual system development, products can't be written using the automated tool for all products due to their own characteristics. That results the inconsistency among development products and various kinds of problem can occur in the products. In this paper, we present a technique that supports consistency among products of analysis and design phase developed according to object oriented method. And, this paper also presents the implementation tool.

  • In these days of severe struggle for existence, the world has changed a great deal to global and digital oriented period. The enterprises try to introduce new management and production system to adapt such a change. But, if the only new technologies are applied to an enterprise without definite analysis about manufacturing, failure fellows as a logical consequence. Hence, enterprise must analyze manufacturing system definitely and needs new methodologies to mitigate risk. This study suggests that the new approach, which is systems approach for process improvement, is organized to systems analysis, systems diagnosis, and systems verification. Systems analysis analyzes manufacturing systems with object-oriented methodology-UML(Unified Modeling language) from a point of product, process, and resource view. Systems diagnosis identifies the constraints to optimize the system through scientific management or TOC(Theory of constraints). Systems verification shows the solution with virtual manufacturing technique applied to the core problem which emerged from systems diagnosis. This research shows the artifacts to improve the productivity with the above methodology applied to forming shop. UML provides the definite tool for analysis and re-usability to adapt itself to environment easily. The logical tree of TOC represents logical tool to optimize the forming shop. Discrete event simulator-QUEST suggests the tool for making a decision to verify the optimized forming shop.

A Study of Knowledge Creating Organizational Memory (지식 창조적 조직메모리에 관한 연구)

  • For the purpose of new‘organizational knowledge centric knowledge management’, this paper proposes the knowledge creating organizational memory which shows the knowledge creation in organization according to the dialectical circulation between the domain knowledge and the task knowledge, based on the Yin Yang theory. This paper defines two kinds of organizational knowledge such as the domain knowledge and task knowledge and designs them in the pursuit of its lifecycle. Knowledge creating organizational memory is designed to three knowledge components that circulate through the domain knowledge and the task knowledge according to the object-oriented methodology. Organizational knowledge is designed into the graphical structure of ( i ) knowledge ( ⅱ ) relation between knowledge objects and ( ⅲ ) degree of relation, which receive the legacy of organizational knowledge such as data schema, process model and knowledge base. This design of organizational knowledge can be applied to CBR(Case Based Reasoning), one of knowledge mining tools to create new organizational knowledge.
