A test based on quantiles is proposed for homogeneity of several treatments against the simple tree alternatives when the samples are subject to the right censorship. The proposed test is a generalization of Park and Kim(1989)'s one. The size and the power of the test is examined in a simulation study.

Recently, office workers are increasingly aware of the right to disconnect because of the pressure from strong connections with Internet messengers. In this study, we examined the reason why the perception of the right to disconnect increases and how to deal with it. This research model is that smart working and psychological attachment from work affect right to disconnect, and that open communication and gender moderate the intensity of these effects. To verify this research model, survey questionnaires were distributed to workers in smart working environments, and 400 data were collected and analyzed using Smart-PLS. As results of data analysis, it was verified that smart working and psychological attachment from work had a significant influence on right to disconnect, that open communication group had a lesser effect of psychological attachment from work on right to disconnect than closed communication group, and that women had a lesser effect of psychological attachment from work on right to disconnect than men. Organizations need to maintain a desirable level of right to disconnect in order to improve the quality of working life. But, if it is impossible, They need to change the way of communication more openly so as to absorb the burden of strong connection by Internet. And they need to perform task assignment or stress relief policy reflecting gender characteristics.

Here, we present a case of ruptured sinus Valsalva aneurysm with fistulous communication between the right coronary aortic sinus and the right ventricle in 8 year old boy. Ruptured sinus Valsalva aneurysm is rare. And several reports are describing its pathophysiologic features, clinical findings and management. This patient was asymptomatic and the physical examination revealed palpable thrill and Grade III pansystolic murmur at the 3rd and 4th intercostal space along the left sternal border. There was an oxygen step up from right atrium into right ventricle on the cardiac catheterization reports. On 15th July 1981, an open heart surgery was performed and we found ruptured right coronary sinus Valsalva aneurysm into the right ventricle, which was managed successfully by doing direct pledget sutures. The postoperative course was uneventful.

It has been criticized that the right of reproduction and right of communication to the public in the Copyrigt Act of Korea, which was amended in the year of 2000 in line with new environments around digital networks, limited the limitation to author’s property right in private use and library exemption too much. Solving the problem above, this study analyzes comparatively WCT, Amended Proposal for a Directive on Copyright and Related Rights in the Information Society, Copyright Law of the United States of America, Copyright Amendment(Digital Agenda), and Copyright Act of Korea. Based on the results from related case analyses and a survey on how stakeholders view copyright issue, in addition, this study presents a reasonable way of limiting rights of reproduction and rights of communication to the public.

Branchio-oto-renal syndrome (BOR) is a rare autosomal dominant disorder. The features include branchial cysts, hearing loss, ear malformation, preauricular pits, retrognathia, congenital heart disease, and renal abnormalities. However, anesthetic management of these patients has seldom been reported. We report a case in which general anesthesia was performed for dental treatment in a patient with BOR. Airway management, renal function, and hemodynamic changes can be of critical concern during anesthetic management. A 13-year-old girl diagnosed with BOR had severe right hearing loss, right external ear malformation, renal abnormalities, and postoperative patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). Dental extraction under general anesthesia was scheduled for a supernumerary tooth. The procedure was completed with sufficient urine volume, adequate airway management, and stable hemodynamics.

Usually the status of a bridge is determined by its structural capability and material strength. Consequently a lot of researchers have studied the failure, the fatigue, and the deterioration of the structure in terms of the structural function of a bridge. However, the overall performance of a bridge may be affected simply by the damage of one of its components. Therefore this study utilized a systematic classification and statistical analysis based on the existing bridge inspection data collected in Taiwan to reach the following goals: (1) assess the performance distribution and deterioration rate for bearing and expansion joint of bridge; (2) find out the right time to do the preventive and essential maintenance for the component of bridge with an empirical method, and to decide what time and which component of a bridge will receive preventive maintenance or regular maintenance.

There become more people suffering from cancer, so the number of cancer patients are increasing as well. However, cancer patients should go through a lot of psychological and physical stress because of side effects of drugs, especially alopecia, during the treatments for cancer. Especially female patients relatively more take care of their appearance, therefore it imposes much more psychological stress for them. Most of the patients choose wig as an alternative, but it is difficult for them to choose right wigs because of their lack of knowledge about wigs. Wigs not only make up for the bald hair but helps asthetically if patients choose right wig which goes well with their face, and eventually helps patients have self-esteem and makes them be positive in their social activities. The purpose of this research to offer right data and qualitative aid about wig, so that it can enhance the quality of cancer patients' lives.

The optimal surgical approach to the patients with coronary artery disease combined with carotid artery stenosis is controversial. We report two cases of successful surgical management of the patients with combined obstructive coronary and carotid artery disease. The first case was a 69-year-old female who had unstable angina pectoris and a past medical history of left carotid endarterectomy. She was revealed to have triple vessel coronary disease and nearly total occlusion of right internal carotid artery. She was undergone staged right carotid endarterectomy 10 days before coronary bypass surgery. The second case, a 54-year-old male with a past medical history of left hemiparesis and dysarthria, was admitted due to unstable angina pectoris. He was revealed to have triple-vessel coronary disease and more than 90% stenosis of left internal carotid artery and 50% stenosis of right internal carotid artery. In the latter case, a combined coronary bypass surgery and left carotid endarterectomy was done. In both cases, postoperative neurologic complications were not observed.
