Purpose: This study was designed to investigate the current status of visual acuity for elementary school students in Muan-gun and to analyze improvements of their visual function after vision training for the elementary school students who have either insufficiency of accommodation or vergence. Methods: Subjective refraction, objective refraction and binocular function were examined for 335 elementary school children from year 1 to year 6 live in Muan area, and then 47 students who have symptoms of binocular dysfunction among them were selected. We analyzed and compared between before and after vision training (VT) in binocular vision function results. Results: The results show that most of the subjects had much problem in near point convergence (NPC) than accommodation. After the vision training, the average of subjects NPC was improved about 5.93 cm, from $11.57 {\pm}1.850$ cm for before VT to $5.66{\pm}0.965$ cm for after VT. After VT positive fusional vergence at near distance after VT was $19.64{\pm}3.66$$\Delta$, which was as much as double of near phoria. Accommodative amplitude was improved from $10.02{\pm}2.566$ D for before VT to $12.30{\pm}1.397$ D for after VT, which similar to mean of expected accommodative amplitude of 11.27 years old. Conclusions: Among insufficiency of accommodation and vergence NPC was improved specially, and accommodative facility and other ocular functions were also improved. Therefore, it is considered the vision training is very effective to recover from visual function problems.

Objective: This study was conducted to provide basic data on physical function improvement activities of elderly care facilities by identifying the degree of physical improvement activities of elderly caregivers. Design: Descriptive correlational study. Methods: The instrument of this study consisted of 12 questions on the general characteristics of the subject. For the assessment of improvement in physical function activities, the measuring tool used for the elderly consisted of a total of 20 questions. For data analysis, Pearson's correlation coefficient & Spearman's rho and multiple regression were used. Results: The higher the age of the subjects, the lower their educational background (r=-0.273, p<0.05), and the higher the probability of having a religion (r=-0.258, p<0.05), the more stable the employment type (r=-0.333, p<0.05). The higher the level of education, the higher the monthly income (r=0.187, p<0.01), and the shorter the career (r=-0.204, p<0.05). The more stable employment, the more unstable duty (r=-0.245, p<0.05), and the more unstable work, the higher the monthly income (r=-0.206, p<0.05) and the longer the career, the higher the monthly income (r=0.247, p<0.05). The more stable the employment, the more activities to improve physical function were found (r=0.341, p<0.05), and the more unstable the duty, the more activities to improve physical function were found (r=0.321, p<0.05), and the higher monthly income, the less physical function improvement activities (r=-0.196, p<0.05). Conclusions: It is necessary to provide regular services by a dedicated physical therapist for physical function improvement activities in order to improve the quality of life of the elderly in the future.
This study was aimed to identify the current status of medical service quality of medical institutes; propose improvements; and find out the impact of medical service quality by its attribute on overall customer satisfaction. The research was conducted on the out-patients and in-patients in a high-level general hospital located in A city. To examine the research, the IPA was utilized to identify the priority requirements for improving the medical service quality. The study also applied an extended theory to the analysis on mismatch between the level of satisfaction and importance recognized by the clients, to examine the impact of the above mentioned factors on the overall satisfaction and intention to revisit and recommend the hospital. For out-patients, the result showed that "hospital hygiene" had a positive and negative impact on the clients' intention to revisit the hospital in priority improvements. In terms of the sustainable improvements, "doctor's skill" had a negative impact on the overall service satisfaction, whereas "state-of-the-art facility" and "nurse's instruction" had a positive impact on the intention to revisit the hospital. In long-term improvements,"complaint remedy" had a positive impact on the intention to recommend the hospital but there were no relevant factors in excessive investment. On the other hand, for in-patients, the result demonstrated that there were no relevant factors in priority improvements and sustainable improvements. The factor of"service procedure speed"had a positive as well as negative impact on the intention to revisit the hospital. In excessive investment,"nurse's empathy"had a positive impact on the intention to recommend the hospital.

The current paper focuses on the analysis of transient cavitating flow in pressurised polyethylene pipes, which are characterized by viscoelastic rheological behaviour. A hydraulic transient solver that describes fluid transients in plastic pipes has been developed. This solver incorporates the description of dynamic effects related to the energy dissipation (unsteady friction), the rheological mechanical behaviour of the viscoelastic pipe and the cavitating pipe flow. The Discrete Vapour Cavity Model (DVCM) and the Discrete Gas Cavity Model (DGCM) have been used to describe transient cavitating flow. Such models assume that discrete air cavities are formed in fixed sections of the pipeline and consider a constant wave speed in pipe reaches between these cavities. The cavity dimension (and pressure) is allowed to grow and collapse according to the mass conservation principle. An extensive experimental programme has been carried out in an experimental set-up composed of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes, assembled at Instituto Superior T$\acute{e}$cnico of Lisbon, Portugal. The experimental facility is composed of a single pipeline with a total length of 203 m and inner diameter of 44 mm. The creep function of HDPE pipes was determined by using an inverse model based on transient pressure data collected during experimental runs without cavitating flow. Transient tests were carried out by the fast closure of the ball valves located at downstream end of the pipeline for the non-cavitating flow and at upstream for the cavitating flow. Once the rheological behaviour of HDPE pipes were known, computational simulations have been run in order to describe the hydraulic behaviour of the system for the cavitating pipe flow. The calibrated transient solver is capable of accurately describing the attenuation, dispersion and shape of observed transient pressures. The effects related to the viscoelasticity of HDPE pipes and to the occurrence of vapour pressures during the transient event are discussed.
The wide-field and the round-the clock operation capabilities of the KMTNet enables the discovery, astrometry and follow-up physical characterization of asteroids and comets in a most efficient way. We collectively refer to the team members, partner organizations, the dedicated software subsystem, the computing facility and research activities as Deep Ecliptic Patrol of the Southern Sky (DEEP-South). Most of the telescope time for DEEP-South is devoted to targeted photometry of Near Earth Asteroids (NEAs) to push up the number of the population with known physical properties from several percent to several dozens of percent, in the long run. We primarily adopt Johnson R-band for lightcurve study, while we employ BVI filters for taxonomic classification and detection of any possible color variations of an object at the same time. In this presentation, the progress and new findings since the last KAS meeting will be outlined. We report DEEP-South preliminary lightcurves of several dozens of NEAs obtained at three KMTNet stations during the first year runs. We also present a physical model of asteroid (5247) Krylov, the very first Non principal Axis (NPA) rotator that has been confirmed in the main belt (MB). A new asteroid taxonomic classification scheme will be introduced with an emphasis on its utility in the LSST era. The progress on the current version of automated mover detection software will also be summarized.

Tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding is commonly used in industries that require airtightness, watertightness, oiltightness, and precision. It is a non-consumable welding method that is commonly used for the welding of non-ferrous metals, but it can be used to weld most metals. The methods of TIG welding can be divided into three types. The first, manual welding is done directly on the metal by a welder with a torch. The second, semi-automatic welding, gets help from a material supplying machine, but it is conducted by a welder. Lastly, automated welding is conducted fully by a machine during its process and operation. Depending on the selection of electrode, the amount of heat that is applied to the base material and the electrode rod changes and makes the shape of welded parts different. A direct-current positive electrode was used for this study. Through the change of shielding gas type on a structural steel (SS-400) that is commonly used in industry, the composition and shape changes in welded parts were detected after welding. The heat-affected area, hardness value, and tensile strength were also identified through hardness testing and tensile testing. In this study, it was found that the higher hardness value of the heat-affected is, the weaker the tensile strength becomes.

In recent years, the scale of damage from disasters such as earthquakes and large-scale fires and floods that are occurring in Korea is increasing. Accordingly, interest in urban disaster prevention that combines living infrastructure such as roads and parks is boosting, and it is urgent to prepare measures to reduce the damage scale of local cities. The purpose of this study is to derive implications for disaster prevention measures in areas where disaster prevention safety of local cities is weak through examples of disaster prevention safety of local cities in case of disaster. To this end, this study analyzed the regional characteristics, current status, and disaster prevention problems of regional cities in Japan, and selected disaster-vulnerable areas, and considered the distance relationship between disaster prevention bases through road network analysis. In addition, road closure simulation using ArcGIS Network Analyst was conducted to analyze disaster prevention safety in the area. As a result, the situation of the village which has a high possibility of isolation by natural disasters was grasped in advance. Through this, the suburbs confirmed the necessity of supplementing the disaster prevention function through transportation maintenance such as forest roads, and it was found that the city needs to prepare a risk management system. Furthermore, this study suggests the need for research on areas with a high possibility of isolation, especially in areas where disaster prevention functions are weak in local cities in case of disaster, and shows countermeasures for disaster prevention measures and resident education.

The global warming has been recognized as a serious problem. To solve this problem, the country of all the world have conducted techniques such as energy saving and reduction of greenhouse gas. The 30% of total energy is being consumed by buildings domestically and BAS/BEMS are being operated for the management of building energy. But, BEMS is unsatisfactory condition to manage the energy efficiently. In this study, We investigate real application on Chamsaem elementary school as a target buildings and develop 3D Web Browser platform. The spatial information of target buildings is described with used BIM and the energy information is presented for facilities operation and electricity consumption in floor and facility. We perform the quantitative evaluation based on ISO/IEC 9126 and operate this system for two months. in result, energy decreased by about 16%. We expect that the proposed 3D Web Browser system will bring operating efficiency improvement of the current BEMS.
This study focuses on 130 estheticians currently working in and around Daegu and Gyeongbuk region, in order to find out the current state of affairs and side effects related to aromatherapy. This paper is based on a survey. SPSS win 11.0 program was used for the analysis of descriptive statistics and independent t-test. According to the result of analysis, about 33% of the estheticians have had allergy experience. And in terms of installation of an air ventilation fan, which is the most important facility in an treatment room, more than half (50.8%) replied they did not have one. There was a statistically significant difference between those estheticians suffering from allergy and those who did not, in symptoms of stuffy nose/rhinitis (P<0.01) and dry skin/itchiness (P<0.5). (Allergy symptoms from the 33% of estheticians were limited to those which occurred after he or she began career) On work related symptoms, those who had work history at hospitals/clinics or apothecaries were compared. A statistically relevant difference was confirmed between those estheticians with therapy experience and those who had none, in all symptoms except headaches and drowsiness/weariness. In other words, there was difference in symptoms such as dryness of skin/itchiness (P<0.01), stuffy nose/rhinitis, dry throat, tension/nervousness, dizziness, tired eyes(P<0.5), nausea, having trouble with focusing, and fatigue(P<0.1). Those estheticians who had a history of treatment especially suffered most from dryness of skin and itchiness. The rate of regular check-ups and the use of masks, employed for self protection, was lower than average (amounting to 5 points), with the use of masks especially having the lowest average (1.7) points.
