Screen Printing법에 의한 Video Phone Tube용 형광막 제조 (The Preparation of Phosphor Screen for Video Phone Tube by Screen Printing Method)

  • The phosphor and ITO(Indium Tin Oxide) films for video phone tube (VPT) were simply prepared by the screen printing and thermal transfer methods. The increasing order of thermal firing of acrylic binder for phosphor and ITO was M6003 < M6664 < A/A 1919 < M500l < M670 1 and all mass of binders were perfectly decomposed at lower temperature than $400^{\circ}C.$ After thermal firing of phosphor paste, the residual of binder on the surface of phosphor could not be found by SEM. Aerosil as thickner provides the thixotropy property for phosphor paste but decrease the brightness of phosphor screen as residual after thermal firing. Since the thixotropy of M5001 binder without aerosil was shown and the storage modulus of phosphor paste by increasing the angular frequency was not nearly changed and the decrease of the storage modulus of phosphor paste by increasing the strain was remarkably shown. It was possible to prepare the phosphor paste which was predominant in the plate separation and the reproduction of pattern after the screen printing. Since the addition of dispersing agent to improve the printing process decreases the electrical conductivity and light transmission of ITa film, it could be found to be necessary the development of binder for phosphor paste that decreases the amount of dispersing agent possibly and does not use the aerosil as additive.

The influence of nano-silica on the wear and mechanical performance of vinyl-ester/glass fiber nanocomposites

  • In the present article, silica nanoparticles (SNPs) were exploited to improve the tribological and mechanical properties of vinyl ester/glass fiber composites. To the best of our knowledge, there hasn't been any prior study on the wear properties of glass fiber reinforced vinyl ester SiO2 nanocomposites. The wear resistance is a critical concern in many industries which needs to be managed effectively to reduce high costs. To examine the influence of SNPs on the mechanical properties, seven different weight percentages of vinyl ester/nano-silica composites were initially fabricated. Afterward, based on the tensile testing results of the silica nanocomposites, four wt% of SNPs were selected to fabricate a ternary composite composed of vinyl ester/glass fiber/nano-silica using vacuum-assisted resin transfer molding. At the next stage, the tensile, three-point flexural, Charpy impact, and pin-on-disk wear tests were performed on the ternary composites. The fractured surfaces were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images after conducting previous tests. The most important and interesting result of this study was the development of a nanocomposite that exhibited a 52.2% decrease in the mean coefficient of friction (COF) by augmenting the SNPs, which is beneficial for the fabrication/repair of composite/steel energy pipelines as well as hydraulic and pneumatic pipe systems conveying abrasive materials. Moreover, the weight loss due to wearing the ternary composite containing one wt% of SNPs was significantly reduced by 70%. Such enhanced property of the fabricated nanocomposite may also be an important design factor for marine structures, bridges, and transportation of wind turbine blades.

일본의 빈집대책 정책방향 조사 연구 - 사가현(佐賀縣) 사가시(佐賀市) 및 아리타초(有田町)를 중심으로 - (A Study on Japan's Policies on Vacant Houses - Based on Saga city and Arita cho in Saga prefecture -)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the policy direction and execution plans of the Japanese central and local governments for the use of vacant houses after the enactment of the "Special Act on Vacant Houses." It also seeks to provide suggestions for establishing vacant house policies in Korea by identifying the characteristics of the Japanese policies, and to suggest policy alternatives that can contribute to environmental improvement and regional revitalization through the use of vacant houses. For this purpose, we examined Japan's "Special Act on Vacant Houses," the process of establishing vacant house policies in the Japanese central and local governments, and the contents and direction of these policies. Below are the results of this study. First, the Japanese government revised mid to long-term policies related to housing after the enactment of the "Special Act on Vacant Houses", thereby providing ground for local governments to establish vacant house policies. Second, the government actively supported the operation and funding of related associations so that the private sector rather than the public sector could address vacant house problems. Third, the government subsidized administrative expenses such as cost of finding vacant house owners to prevent neglect of vacant houses, and showed its will to address vacant house problems by revising taxes such as property taxes and transfer income taxes. Fourth, the government has enacted distinct ordinances for each local government and made it possible to perform customized policies such as allowing residents and local stakeholders to participate in the establishment of vacant house policies. Fifth, the government made it possible to manage vacant houses efficiently by allowing the vacant house bank to provide all information related to the use of vacant houses. It is necessary for Korea's central and local governments to refer to these precedent cases and create efforts to reduce trial and error when establishing vacant house policies.

축방향하중에 대한 튜브형 단면겹치기 접착조인트의 전적 파괴모델에 관한 연구 (Failure Model for the Adhesively Bonded Tubular Single Lap Joints Under Static Tensile Loads)

  • The static tensile load bearing capability of as adhesively-bonded tubular single lap jint that is calculated usign the linear mechanical properties of adhesive is usually far from the experimentally determined because the majority of the load transfer of the adhesively-bonded jointd is accomplished by the nonlinear behavior of the rubber-toughened eoxy adhesive. In this paper, both the nonlinear mechanical properties and the fabrication residual thermal stresses of adhesive were included in the calculation of the stresses of adhesively-bonded joints. The onlinear tensile properties of adhesive were approximated by an exponential form which was represented by the initial tensile modulus and ultimate tensile stength of adhesive. The stress distribution in the adhesive were calculated by applying the load obtained from the tensile tests. From the tensile tests and the stress analysis of adhesively-bonded hoints, the failure model for adhesively-bonded tubular single lap joints was proposed.

A model to develop the porosity of concrete as important mechanical property

  • This numerical study demonstrates the porosity conditions and the intensity of the interactions with the aggressive agents. It is established that the density as well as the elastic modulus are correlated to ultrasonic velocity The following investigation assessed the effects of cement grade and porosity on tensile strength, flexural and compressive of Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) as a numerical model in PLAXIS 2d Software. Initially, the existing strength-porosity equations were investigated. Furthermore, comparisons of the proposed equations with the existing models suggested the high accuracy of the proposed equations in predicting, cement grade concrete strength. The outcome obtained showed a ductile failure when un-corroded reinforced concrete demonstrates several bending-induced cracks transfer to the steel reinforcement. Moreover, the outcome also showed a brittle failure when wider but fewer transverse cracks occurred under bending loads. Sustained loading as well as initial pre-cracked condition during the corrosion development have shown to have significant impact on the corrosion behavior of concrete properties. Moreover, greater porosity was generally associated with lower compressive, flexural, and tensile strength. Higher cement grade, on the other hand, resulted in lower reduction in concrete strength. This finding highlighted the critical role of cement strength grade in determining the mechanical properties of concrete.

비등온 평판의 이성분 합금 냉각코팅에 관한 수치해석 (A Numerical Analysis on the Freeze Coating of a Non-Isothermal Flat Plate with a Binary Alloy)

  • A numerical analysis on the freeze coating process of a non-isothermal finite dimensional plate with a binary alloy is performed to investigate the growth and decay behavior of the solid and the mushy layer of the freeze coat and a complete procedure to calculate the process is obtained in this study. The continuously varying solid and mushy layers are immobilized by a coordinate transform and the resulting governing differential equations are solved by a finite difference technique. To account for the latent heat release and property change during solidification, proper phase change models are adopted. And the convection in the liquid melt is modeled as an appropriate heat transfer boundary condition at the liquid/mushy interface. The present results are compared with analytic solutions derived for the freeze coating of infinite dimensional plates and the discrepancy is found to be less than 0.5 percent in relative magnitude for all simulation cases. In addition the conservation of thermal energy is checked. The results show that the freeze coat grows proportional to the 1.2 square of axial position as predicted by analytic solutions ar first. But after the short period of initial growth, the growth rate of the freeze coat gradually decreases and finally the freeze coat starts to decay. The effects of various non-dimensional processing parameters on the behavior of freeze coat are also investigated.

유기화합물의 승화열 예측을 위한 QSPR분석 (QSPR analysis for predicting heat of sublimation of organic compounds)

  • 승화열은 대기 유기 오염물질의 확산에 관련된 환경적인 문제를 해결하거나, 위험한 화학 물질의 위해성을 평가하는 데에 중요한 변수이다. 하지만 실험적으로 승화열을 측정하려면 많은 시간과 비용이 소모 되며, 그 실험자체도 복잡하고 위험하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 유기화합물의 승화열을 간단하게 예측하는 모델을 개발하기 위하여 정량적 구조-물성 상관관계 연구를 이용하였다. 군기반 전진선택방법을 적용하여 다중선형회귀방법과 서포트 벡터 머신과 같은 학습방법에 적합한 분자표현자들을 선택하도록 하였다. 개별 모델과 복합모델들은 부스트래핑 방법과 y-임의추출법에 의해 내부검증이 되었다. 외부 테스트 데이터의 예측 성능은 적용범위를 고려하므로서 개선되었다. 다중선형회귀모델에 따르면, 승화열은 분자간의 분산력, 수소결합, 정전기적 상호작용, 쌍극자-쌍극자 상호작용과 관련이 있는 것을 나타낼 수 있었다.

The characteristics of gasification for combustible waste

  • With the increasing environmental consideration and stricter regulations, gasification of waste is considered to be more attractive technology than conventional incineration for energy recovery as well as material recycling. The experiment for combustible waste mixed with plastic and cellulosic materials was performed in the fixed bed gasifier to investigate the gasification behavior with the operating conditions. Waste pelletized with a diameter of 2~3cm and 5cm of length was gasified at the temperature range of 1100~145$0^{\circ}C$. It was shown that the composition of H$_2$ was in the range of 30~40% and CO 15~30% depending upon oxygen/waste ratio. Casification of waste due to thermoplastic property from mixed plastic melting and thermal cracking shows a prominent difference from that of coal or coke. It was desirable to maintain the top temperature up to foot to ensure the mass transfer and uniform reaction through the packed bed. As the bed height was increased, the formation of H$_2$ and CO was increased whilst $CO_2$ decreased by the char-$CO_2$ reaction and plastic cracking. From the experimental results, the cold gas efficiency was around 61% and heating values of product gases were in the range of 2800~3200㎉/Nm3.

외부 환경적 요인에 의한 파이프랙 구조물의 열적 거동 (Thermal Behavior of a Pipe-Rack Structure Subjected to Environmental Factors)

  • 파이프랙 구조물은 고온 고압의 파이프를 지지하며 플랜트의 운전 안전성을 좌우하는 매우 중요 구조물이다. 따라서, 파이프랙 구조물의 손상은 산업 전반에 부정적인 파급효과를 가져옴과 동시에 인명 및 재산상의 막대한 피해까지 가져오게 된다. 특히, 파이프랙 구조물은 외부환경에 노출되어 있어, 구조물의 적절한 설계 및 유지관리를 위하여 환경적 영향에 의한 거동 특성을 평가할 필요가 있다. 따라서, 가장 널리 설계되어지는 하나의 파이프랙 구조물을 대상 구조물로 선정하여 열-구조 연성해석을 실시하여 파이프랙 구조물의 온도분포와 열응력을 평가하였다. 외부 환경적 요인으로는 국내의 여수지역과 중동의 사우디 지역을 고려하여 파이프의 운전조건과 함께 외부환경 영향인자에 대한 고려 필요성을 검증하였다.

무인기용 레큐퍼레이터 소재의 용접부에 대한 고온 피로수명 예측 (High Temperature Fatigue Life Prediction for Welded Joints of Recuperator Material for UAV)

  • 본 논문은 경량 및 고효율 레큐퍼레이터를 구성하는 0.1 mm 이하의 두께를 지닌 전열판의 용접부에 대한 실험적 연구이다. 특히 해당 용접부에 대한 수명을 알아내기 위해 고온환경에서 피로특성을 실험을 통하여 알아내기로 하였다. 실험은 레큐퍼레이터의 소재로 주로 선정되는 두가지 재질에 대해 (STS347, AL20-25+nb) 실시하였으며, 시편은 실제 제작에 사용되는 방법과 ASTM에서 권고하는 규격을 준용하여 제작하였다. 그리고 상온과 고온에서 해당 시료의 기계적 특성을 평가하고자, 기계적 물성치를 시험하는 MTS-810 과 고온환경을 부여하기 위한 고온로를 이용하였다. 시험은 각 시편에 대해 상온 및 고온 환경에서 인장시험을 실시하였으며, 나타난 인장강도의 50%, 40%, 30%, 20% 그리고 10% 에 해당하는 하중을 응력비 0.1로 설정하여 피로시험을 시행하였다. 마지막으로 실험을 통해 나타난 피로수명 특성을 레큐퍼레이터의 운전조건에서 발생하는 하중에 따르는 응력과 비교하여 무인기 시스템이 요구하는 운전시간에 대비하여 해당 용접부들의 수명을 평가하였다.
