  • Many previous studies of data quality have focused on the realization and evaluation of both data value quality and data service quality. These studies revealed that poor data value quality and poor data service quality were caused by poor data structure. In this study we focus on metadata management, namely, data structure quality and introduce the data quality management maturity model as a preferred maturity model. We empirically show that data quality improves as data management matures.

  • It is the "maturity rule" that concrete of the same mix, at the same maturity, has the same strength. In this study, the Nurse-Saul function which was proposed to account for the effects of temperature and time on strength development is used in computing maturity. After existing various functions to relate concrete strength to the maturity value are considered, new strenth-maturity function is proposed. Tests are conducted in order to compare prediction value with measured concrete strength. The constants in proposed prediction equation are determined by standard specimens(cylinders) test, and the equation is adopted to predict strength of slab. The slab was cast in the laboratory from the same batch of mole, and cores are cut from slab in order to estimate the actual strength. Tehese values are used to compare with proposed equation. equation.

  • Manure-based composts can have detrimental effects on the agricultural lands and crops if they are applied without proper stabilization process. Composting is well-known method for the stabilization of manure-based composts and the extent of composting could be examined by maturity test. Among various methods to examine compost maturity, the performances of two mechanical methods (Solvita and CoMMe-100) were examined and the test results were compared with seed germination test. The mechanical methods are considered to be simple and relatively objective. Also they are cost- and time-efficient. Ten commercially available composts collected in Korea were used for this study. Basically, the maturity determined with these mechanical methods was in good agreement with the seed germination test. However, it appeared that the index levels of compost maturity indicated more maturity by CoMMe-100 than Solvita for the same compost. The differences between maturity index levels determined by both methods were able to be minimized through extending the reaction time for CoMMe-100 and adjusting index level for maturity determination in the standard color chart.

  • This study examined the relations between home-environment, mother´s vacational environment, vocational sense and the career maturity of their child in girls high school. Also the study tried to help the children find the proper vocation and to guide them in school. The subjects of this were 514 couples of mothers and their children in girl´s school (2nd grade) living in In-cheon. Statistics used for data analysis are Frequency, Percentage, One-way ANOVA, DMR(Ducn´s Multiple Range Test), T-test and Pearson´s correlation coefficient. The main results were as follows: 1. To think of the career maturity of child in home-environment variable, it differed significant-ly by mother´s standard of education and father´s vocation. 2. According to the mother´s vocational environment variablees, career maturity of child differed significantly by work-state the degree of vocational satisfication. 3. To think of the general tendency of mother´s view of vocation the attitude of choosing vocaion is independent whether mother has work or not. The attitude of work and sex-role is openhearted whether mother has work or not. The attitude of work-value is more important in the case of mother´s having work. The attitude of work-respect is formal in both case. In general whether mother has work or not there´s no difference in the mother´s vocational sense. 4. The corelations between the mother´s vocational sense and career maturity differed significantly by the attitude of chdoosing vocation. 5. The career maturity of high school student differed significantly whether they are commercial high school student or academic high school student. Based on the findings it is recommended the mother´s age the standard of education the degree of vocational satisfication and the view of vocation are more influenced on the child´s career maturity than the mother´s work itself.

  • Fuji apple variety introduced in Japan has excellent storage quality and good taste so it is most commonly cultivated in the Korean Peninsula. Accurate prediction of harvest maturity allows farmers to more efficiently manage their farm, such as working time, fruit storage, market shipment and labor distribution so it is very important. This study was carried out to predict the harvest maturity of 'Fuji' apple using DTS (Days Transformed to Standard temperature) model based on the Arrhenius law in the Gunwi province of the South Korea. Input data are daily average temperature and apple harvest maturity. Predicted the harvest maturity of Fuji apple after estimating the optimal parameters by using the Nelder-Mead method. The differences of observed and predicted harvest maturity day are approximately 1 to 4 days and the RMSE is 2.9.

  • Regarding to maturity evaluation of pig manure compost mixed with saw dust, change of constituents of organic matter influenced by microbial activities were investigated. Throughout the two stages of active composting period, we obtained a lot of data related to compost stabilization. However, we found out that only a couple of parameters could be used for adequate evaluation of compost. We, therefore, decided that total sugar and reducing sugar could be used for the reasonable standard criteria of maturity during composting process, even though some enzyme activities by phosphates and cellulase reactions were obtained and compared. Because the other parameters such as contents of lignin, cellulose, and organic acids were difficult to be used for maturity evaluation of pig manure compost.

  • Assuming that the Capability Maturity Model Integration for Development v1.2 (CMMI) could be applied to an organization more effectively if the content similarities among practices were improved in terms of structure and composition, this paper presents the analysis of the correlations between the CMMI Specific Practices (SP) and Generic Practices (GP) for the Maturity Level 2 and 3 Process Areas using the Chi-square independence test. According to the analysis, a 22.2% correlation was observed. To minimize the problem of repeatedly applying similarities, 6 GPs that are highly correlated with the SPs were grouped together. Then, three different improvement plans: 1) development of a standard template-based project plan, 2) establishment of a configuration management system based on open source software to control work products and leverage experience, and 3) establishment of project assurance through an independent quality assurance-based organization and intensive review by higher-level management - were defined.

  • In this study, we aimed to develop a maturity classification model for tomatoes using hyperspectral imaging in the range of 400 - 1,000 nm. Fifty-seven tomatoes harvested in August and November of 2021 were used as the sample set, and hyperspectral data was extracted from the surfaces of these tomatoes. A combined method of SNV (standard normal variate) and SG (Savitzky-Golay) methods was used for the pre-processing of the hyperspectral data. In addition, the hyperspectral data were analyzed for all maturity stages and considering bandwidths with different FWHM (full width at half maximum) values of 2, 25, and 50 nm. The PCA (principal component analysis) method was used to analyze the principal components related to maturity stages for the tomatoes. As a result, 500 - 550 nm and 650 - 700 nm bands were found to be related to the maturity stages of tomatoes. In addition, PC1 and PC2 explained approximately 97% of the variance at all FWHM conditions and thus were used as input data for classification model training based on the SVM (support vector machine). The SVM models were able to classify tomato maturity into five stages (Green, Turning, Pink, Light red, and Red) with over 95% accuracy regardless of the FWHM condition. Therefore, it was considered that hyperspectral data with 50 nm FWHM and SVM is feasible for use in the classification of tomato maturity into five stages.
