Objective : The purpose of this study is to survey the experimental studies for herbal simplexes of Anti-inflammatory Effects by reviewing oriental medicine journals since 2001. Methods : We collected 65 research papers on Oriental herbal simplexes medicines (herbs and Pharmacopunctures) of Anti-inflammatory effects in the internet site OASIS using the keyword 'Anti-inflammation'. Then we analyzed them according to published journals, years, and research methods, etc. Results : 65 papers in relation to Oriental herbal medicines of anti-inflammatory effects have been published in many kinds of journals and shows a tendency to increase recently. There are 60 cases of using herbal simplexes and 5 cases of Pharmacopuncture. Conclusions : This result will provide useful information of field of Oriental herbal medicine for the development and clinical use of anti-inflammatory related herb simplexes. In the future, we have to perform more studies such as clinical trial and research papers on developed design and herb-combined prescription study for anti-inflammatory effects.

목적 : 체계적 문헌고찰을 통하여 지루피부염에 한약복용의 효과와 연구의 질을 평가하기 위함. 방법 : OASIS, NDSL, EMBASE, Pubmed, Cochrane Library, CINAHL, CNKI, WANFANG, CiNii, J-STAGE를 이용하여 검색하였다. 검색은 2018년 6월 21일에 시행되었으며 P는 지루성 피부염, I는 한약 복용으로 진행하였다. 두 명의 연구자가 독립적으로 연구를 평가하고 선정하였으며, 의견이 다를 경우 제 3자가 개입하여 다수결로 결정하였다. 결과 : 중복 검색을 제외하고 총 952개의 연구가 검색되었으며 제목과 초록을 검토한 결과 897개의 연구가 제외되었다. 나머지 55개 연구의 전문을 검토한 결과 4개의 RCT연구가 최종 선정되었다. 선정된 연구는 발행연도, 대상, 중재법, 평가방법, 효과, 부작용, RoB를 통해 평가하였다. 한약 복용을 한 치료군에서 대조군에 비해 유의하게 호전을 보였으며 중대한 부작용은 없었다. 결론 : 지루성 피부염에 있어 한약 복용은 효과적이며 안전성이 있는 하나의 치료법이다. 향후 다양하고 체계적인 RCT의 시행이 요구된다.

Objective : This study reports the effect of oriental medicine with depletion and cupping therapy on post-herpetic neuralgia(PHN) 1 case. Methods : We experienced one case of PHN treated by oriental medical treatment with depletion and cupping therapy. To evaluate the effectiveness of this treatment, we used the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). Result : After the treatment the grade of VAS was decreased and clinical symptoms were improved. Conclusion : Oriental medicine with depletion and cupping therapy can be available for relieving symptoms related with PHN.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Traditional Korean medical treatments on syringoma. Methods : We used herbal medication, acupuncture and cupping therapy for treatment. To evaluate the results of the treatment, we observed the patient's photoscopic findings. Results : The patient's objective symptoms showed noticeable improvement after treatment for 24days. We also found to be in good condition 21days after the treatment. Conclusions : Korean medical treatment was effective to improve the syringoma symptoms. It is necessary to have more cases and long term observation.

Objective : The purpose of this report is to know the effect of Jibaekjihwang-tang(知栢地黃湯) on progressive pigmented purpuric dermatosis. Methods : We experienced one case of progressive pigmented purpuric dermatosis treated with Jibaekjihwang-tang(知栢地黃湯). We used visual analogue scale(VAS). Results : After the treatment the grade of VAS was decreased and purpuras, pruritus and dryness of skin were disappeared. Conslusion : Jibaekjihwang-tang(知栢地黃湯) can be used on the treatment of progressive pigmented purpuric dermatosis.

Objective : The aim of this study is to report the effect of Hani-maehwa laser(fractional mode) treatment on acne scar. Methods : The patient with atrophic facial acne scars was treated with 5 sessions of laser therapy at 4-week intervals. The therapeutic response to treatment was assessed at 3 months after last laser session. The treatment effect was evaluated by standardized photography, anti aging, skin brightness and flatness. That was measured by micro fluorescence measurement camera(ECO SKIN, Cuvitz Inc.) in 16(left zygoma) and 26(right zygoma) spot. And side effects were also checked. Results : Atrophic facial acne scars have improved markedly. Anti aging, skin brightness and flatness were improved. Especially anti aging and flatness were noticeably improved. Adverse effects were not reported.Conclusions : Korean medicine cautery method applies to high level laser(CO₂ Hani-maehwa laser). These are different designs but same principle. It can be considered that laser therapy is effective method for treating acne scars.

Objectives : This study was carried out to investigate the effect of Hwanggigyejiomul-tang on eczema with oozing. Methods : We treated 23 eczema patients with oozing. We used the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS), and recorded the condition of patients as severe, moderate, mild, none. Results : After the treatments, all patients VAS of oozing was remarkably decreased. Conclusions : This study suggests that Hwanggigyejiomul-tang is effective on eczema with oozing.

Objectives : This study was carried out to investigate the effect of Gyulpidaehwangbakcho-tang on rhinitis with nasal obstruction. Methods : We treated 18 rhinitis patients with nasal obstruction. We used the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS), and recorded the condition of patients as +++, ++, +, -. Results : After the treatments, all patients VAS of nasal obstruction was remarkably decreased. Conclusions : This study suggests that Gyulpidaehwangbakcho-tang is effective on rhinitis with nasal obstruction.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of low level laser therapy and acupuncture on hair loss. Methods : The patient with alopecia caused by bed sore and alopecia areata was treated with 29 times of laser therapy, acupuncture and took herbal medicine during about 3 months. The treatment effect was evaluated by standardized photography. Results : Hair loss had shown a marked improvement. Entire scalp had been replaced with new hairs. Conclusions : LLLT(low level laser therapy) is effective method for treating alopecia. It can shorten the length of treatment of alopecia.

Objectives : This study was carried out to investigate the effect of Gyejiyiwolbiyil-tang on Urticaria. Methods : We treated 14 Urticaria patients. We evaluated severity of welts, pruritus, heat and redness by using the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). Results : After the treatments, all patients objective score of urticara was remarkably decreased. Conclusions : This study suggests that Gyejiyiwolbiyil-tang is effective against acute and chronic urticaria.
