As an art, Korean dance is a history, a tradition, and a continuing activity of consciousness. It is a present and future activity in the past that will continue the identity of Korean people. So storytelling is not just a description of the historical background, but of eternity that is being recreated. From this study, the inquiry of artistic beauty of Korean traditional dance is questioning the original essence and value of 'storytelling' through old tradition and historical art. If the study of the Korean dance among them was a study of the theorists for the aesthetic essence or the ideological system, the point of view of the storytelling of the Korean dance is that the public understanding about the core structure and reason of Korean dance and the study of the humanistic value It reminded me of a desperate attitude. The meaning of this study is to verify the usefulness of storytelling as a way to construct various contents of Korean dance in conceptual definition of storytelling. In the symbolic meaning of Korean dance, Cheoyongmu text formed the deep meaning network of the original art beyond the linguistic narrative structure and suggested the importance of storytelling development as DB of original contents.

A video summary abstracts the gist from an entire video and also enables efficient access to the desired content. In this paper, we propose a novel method for summarizing news video based on multimodal analysis of the content. The proposed method exploits the closed caption data to locate semantically meaningful highlights in a news video and speech signals in an audio stream to align the closed caption data with the video in a time-line. Then, the detected highlights are described using MPEG-7 Summarization Description Scheme, which allows efficient browsing of the content through such functionalities as multi-level abstracts and navigation guidance. Multimodal search and retrieval are also within the proposed framework. By indexing synchronized closed caption data, the video clips are searchable by inputting a text query. Intensive experiments with prototypical systems are presented to demonstrate the validity and reliability of the proposed method in real applications.

This paper presents research about the development of electrical fire cause classification in order to improve the reliability of electrical fire statistics and to collect electrical fires data efficiently. The incorrect and biased knowledge for electrical fires changed the classification of certain types of fires, from non-electrical to electrical. It is convenient and required to develop the standardized form that makes, in the assessment of the cause of electrical fires, the fire investigators directly ticking the appropriate box on the fire report form or making an assessment of a text description. In this study, newly developed electrical fire cause classification structure, which is well-defined hierarchical structure so that there are not any relationship or overlap between cause categories, is suggested. Also the suggested classification structure can be used for electrical fire investigation and statistics, which minimizes the mistake that diagnose non-electrical fires into electrical ones.

최근 멀티미디어의 이용과 멀티미디어 접근을 위한 기술이 많이 증가하고 있다. 그렇지만 멀티미디어 검색엔진과 같은 실용시스템에서 멀티미디어에 대한 유용한 정보 추출과 정보의 응용은 여전히 문제로 있다. 특히, 멀티미디어 이용자는 검색의 효율성을 위하여 저장소를 직관적인 구조로 생성을 하고 있다. 그 예로 "KISS 추계학술 대회 이미지"와 같은 데이터 폴더를 만들거나, 각 멀티미디어 데이터에 Free Text 기반의 주석을 하여 관리를 하였다. 하지만 이러한 검색들에도 한계점을 가지고 있으며 또 다른 지능적인 의미 검색에 있어서도 인간이 바라는 검색의 정확도에 미치지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 새로운 접근법을 소개한다. 목적을 위하여 멀티미디어의 의미적인 작업을 위하여 컨텐츠 획득과 분류를 위한 새로운 사용자 도구를 소개하고자 한다. 도구를 이용하는 멀티미디어 사용자는 주어진 컨텐츠를 인간이 생각하고 컨텐츠가 내포하는 의미의 일정한 구조적 단위로 분해하고, 각 단위들에 MPEG-7 표준기반의 추가적인 기술 정보(Description information)를 부여하여 새로운 의미적 메타데이터를 생성할 수 있다. 이러한 의미적 메타데이터는 멀티미디어 검색을 위해 사용자들에게 효율성을 줄 것이라 본다.

Objectives : In this study, I want to work on efficacious porridges through inquiry into the Jukmiryu(粥穈類) based on the classical literature. It is intended to serve as a basic study to explore the modern-day application of dishes that are good as patient meals or healthy foods for elderly people. Methods : I have taken the original text of Jukmiryu(粥穈類) included in Junsaengpaljeon(遵生八牋) and translated it. Further, I have compared it to those porridges treated in Nonohangeon (老老恒言), a book in geriatrics from Ming Dynasty. Results : Nonohangeon(老老恒言) describes sources and effects of 100 porridges. With recipes too simplified, however, it doesn't provide any practical help. In contrast, Junsaengpaljeon(遵生八牋) presents 40 porridges together with their effects and recipes. It is practically more beneficial, as it provides recipes more specific than Nonohangeon(老老恒言). Conclusions : Jukmiryu(粥穈類) in Junsaengpaljeon(遵生八牋) set great store on the pharmacological effects of food. As it provides detailed description of porridge recipes and ingredients as well as their effects, readers can easily apply them to symptoms. Since individuals may choose what would be appropriate for their own symptoms, it could be helpful in not only providing patient meals and foods for elderly people but also improving dietary practice.

This paper proposes a new approach to technology valuation, the market-replacement cost approach which integrates the cost-based approach and market-based approach. The proposed approach estimates the market-replacement cost of a target technology using R&D costs of similar R&D projects previously conducted. Similar R&D projects are extracted from project database based on document similarity between project proposals and technology description of the target technology. R&D costs of similar R&D projects are adjusted by mirroring the rate of technological obsolescence and inflation. Market-replacement cost of the technology is then derived by calculating the weighted average of adjusted costs and similarity values of similar R&D projects. A case of "Prevention method and system for the diffusion of mobile malicious code" is presented to illustrate the proposed approach.

This paper aims at the statistical analysis of electrical fire and classification of electrical fire causes to collect electrical fires data efficiently. Electrical fire statistics are produced to monitor the number and characteristics of fires attended by fire fighters, including the causes and effects of fire so that action can be taken to reduce the human and financial cost of fire. Electrical fires make up the majority of fires in Korea(including nearly 30% of total fires according to recent figures), The incorrect and biased knowledge for electrical fires changed the classification of certain types of fires, from non-electrical to electrical. It is convenient and required to develop the standardized form that makes, in the assessment of the cause of electrical fires, the fire fighters directly ticking the appropriate box on the fire report form or making an assessment of a text description. Therefore, it is highly recommended to develop electrical fire cause classification and electrical fire assessment on the fire statistics in order to categorize and assess electrical fires exactly. In this paper newly developed electrical fire cause classification structure, which is well-defined hierarchical structure so that there are not any relationship or overlap between cause categories, is suggested. Also fire statistics systems of foreign countries are introduced and compared.

Objectives : The purpose of this paper is to study the metaphor that the liver is the admiral from which strategic planning is derived in 『Suwen Linglanmidianlun』 in relation to Liver function. Methods : Annotations to the verse along with descriptions of strategic planning in classical texts and their relation were examined. Results : Previous annotators described the Admiral organ and Strategic Planning separately, in which it is difficult to fully explain the totality the two. They cannot be separated from each other, and only when they are in dependence of each other can they become complete. Liver function as described in classical texts and contemporary text books such as detoxification and sterilization all embody this meaning of strategic planning of an admiral. Conclusions : Reinterpretation of the Liver function based on an integrated understanding of the Liver as described in 『Suwen Linglanmidianlun』 is required. This will allow for better understanding of what the metaphor means, and to better connect this description to Liver physiology for an integrated understanding of the Liver itself in Korean Medicine.

Laotzu's view of language is well expressed at the beginning stanza of "道可道 非常道" of Tao De Ching, the interpretation of which is pivotal for the proper interpretation of the entire text. Two lines of interpretation of this stanza have been proposed; The first view regards the letter "道" in "非常道" as representing that which is signified by a sign. The other takes the posture that the letter "道" is itself the signifier of the sign. I argue in this article that the second posture should be taken to interpret Tao De Ching properly, contrary to the traditional interpretation of this stanza, by pointing out the verses which inevitably contradict each other when interpreted according to the first view. The second view leads to the conclusion that everyday language is not sufficient enough to describe the supernatural beings, including Tao, accurately, and seeks a way to augment ordinary language for appropriate description of such supernatural beings. The strategy Laotzu adopts in Tao De Ching is to expand the expressive power of ordinary language by extensive use of metaphors. This paper discerns 4 conceptual metaphors in the sense of Johnson and Lakoff(1980) which underlie the metaphors used in Tao De Ching: (1) Tao is Void; (2) Tao is Mother; (3) Tao is Valley; and (4) Tao is Untrimmed Log.

In this study, we propose an annotation system exhibits a secondary role using augmented reality in the exhibition environment. Common methods that utilize the description of the picture or photo booklet or audio device to the exhibition and in the form of viewing the exhibits while people describe method is used. We are using augmented reality technology, in addition to these conventional methods to provide a variety of information about the exhibits utilizing text, photos, video and audio of the multimedia medium. Where visitors can use a smart phone in hand deulgoseo, the exhibition becomes a secondary role by applying the Augmented Reality technology in tablet-based devices.
