Hydraulic excavators have been popular devices in construction fields because of their multi-workings and economic efficiency. The mathematical models of excavators have many nonlinearities because of opening characteristics and dead zone of main control valve(MCV), oil temperature variation, etc. The objective of this paper is to develop a simulator for hydraulic excavator using AMESim. Components and their circuits are expressed graphically. Also, parameters and nonlinear characteristics are considered in a text style. From the simulation results, fixed spring stiffness of MCV can not obtain the satisfactory accuracy of spool displacement under whole P-Q diagrams. Closed loop type MCV containing a proportional gain, is proposed in this paper that can reduce displacement error. The ability of closed loop MCV is verified through comparing with normal type MCV using AMESim simulator. The excavator simulator can be used to forecast the attachment behaviors when components, mechanical attachments and hydraulic circuits change, or other control algorithms are applied. The simulator could be a kind of development platform for new excavators.

This study was intended to provide an improved method for testing textiles in high school. Four kinds of test subjects were selected and applied to the classes. Problems of the methods in the textbooks were corrected as follows: 1)Burning test: The number of specimen is reduced to 3 kinds of fibers(cotton, wool, and polyester) and recommends are given to make result by comparing with the burning characteris-tics of paper and hair. 2) Absorbency test: Test Method is changed to drop test. The result is recorded by measuring time required for the water drops absorbed to the specimen. 3) Wrinkle recovery test: A glass is provided instead of metal weight. The method of measuring angle which is made by the specimen is shown in figure. 4) Effects of Detergent: 0.2% of detergent solution is provided before class. The amount of oil and carbon black is specified. Students have generally agreed that the improved methods were better than those in the text-books after they made the above 4 recommendable experiments(p<.001)

We proposed a methodology to automatically extract the requirements from the documents and check the consistency and traceability among them. The documents include not only text but also PDF or image files. We also suggest a method to visualize the result with maps, numbers, and graphs. By comparing the results with those of manual reviews from experts, we show that it is necessary to use knowledge-based method in future instead of the wordbased method for improving the reliability. The results can be applied effectively for already existing documents.

Treasured Mirror of Eastern Medicine was written by Heo Joon in 1610 and published in 1613, it was stored in the Library of Seoul University. It quotes more than 190 ancient Chinese books including mostly those of medicine. The author discusses mainly the theory of herbal formulas and its numbers comparing formulas between quotation and original text in Zhu Zhongjing's formula. Prescriptions from the Great Peace Imperial Grace Pharmacy, Effective Formulas Handed Down for Generations and Recovery from All Ailments. Through comparison it's found that there are five correlations between quotation and original. That shows a affinity relation in traditional medicine between China and Korea and a historical visage that Korean doctors followed Chinese medicine and tried to further development from it.

This paper presents an advanced virtual lecture system for power system which is based on web. So far, conventional web-based virtual lecture systems which simply would use hyper-text couldn't use characteristics of multimedia in web. Comparing with printed publication, such conventional virtual lecture systems as only display on monitor couldn't be superior in validity and effectiveness. So, in this paper the proposed virtual lecture system uses web-based multimedia functions, including lecture-note and AOD(Audio on Demand), in order to overcome an individual difference of learning efficiency and suggests simple simulation programs for lecture contents which can be performed directly in on-line.

Captions include information which relates to the images. In order to obtain the information in the captions, text extraction methods from images have been developed. However, most existing methods can be applied to captions with a fixed height or stroke width using fixed pixel-size or block-size operators which are derived from morphological supposition. We propose an edge connected components based method that can extract Korean captions that are composed of various sizes and fonts. We analyze the properties of edge connected components embedding captions and build a decision tree which discriminates edge connected components which include captions from ones which do not. The images for the experiment are collected from broadcast programs such as documentaries and news programs which include captions with various heights and fonts. We evaluate our proposed method by comparing the performance of the latent caption area extraction. The experiment shows that the proposed method can efficiently extract various sizes of Korean captions.

This study was to examine the contents of sexuality education in the 6th Home Economics 1 and in the 7th Technology.Home Economics 1 of Middle school curriculum by comparing those two text books. The result of the study was that: 1) the 7th TechnologyㆍHome Economics 1 has more sexuality education contents than in the 6th; 2) the 7th TechnologyㆍHome Economics 1 used much more vivid and realistic pictures to catch students' attention and bring educational effect; 3) the 7th Technology \ulcornerHome Economics 1 included more detailed information for the young students such as pregnancy, birth control, masturbation, artificial abortion, and prevention of sexual violence than the 6th; 4) although the 7th TechnologyㆍHome Economics 1 showed more developed contents for the sexuality education, it had still only theory based information that lost students' attention on this important issue.

This paper proposes the way of improvement and system build-up for shop music broadcasting services provided by the Internet. Comparing the shop music broadcasting services and personal music broadcasting services, we propose the way of shop music broadcasting services customers prefer to. That is, such a function is provided that a user can control the broadcasting music lists a specialist provides according to the current circumstance of shop. This paper proposes the whole system such a service is possible and verifies the efficiency by experiments.

The researcher categorized the acupuncture methods mentioned in DongUiBoGam according to the form, and examined how to select and use the acupuncture points explained in the Acupuncture/Moxibustion prescription. By comparing the original text to the Acupuncture/Moxibustion prescriptions, it was established that the various acupuncture points in these Acupuncture/Moxibustion prescriptions all had individual meaning. Also, it showed that DongUiBoGam didn't indicate a particular acupuncture point but allowed a possibility for selection according to the patient's condition and the skill of the practitioner.

Rapid growth of internet applications has increased the importance of intrusion detection system (IDS) performance. String matching is the most computation-consuming task in IDS. In this paper, a new algorithm for multiple string matching is proposed. This proposed algorithm is based on the canonical Aho-Corasick algorithm and it utilizes a bidirectional and parallel processing structure to accelerate the matching speed. The proposed string matching algorithm was implemented and patched into Snort for experimental evaluation. Comparing with the canonical Aho-Corasick algorithm, the proposed algorithm has gained much improvement on the matching speed, especially in detecting multiple keywords within a long input text string.
