There are a lot of problem about waterproofing membrane coating for concrete deck of bridge and waterproofing sheets for concrete of deck of bridge because it couldn't confirm waterproofing's defeat after construction. These problems make a waterproofing material damage and condrete deck of bridge damage. So It needs a lot of money for repair work and reinforcement work. Therefor the structure slab of using waterproofing material protect invasion of water. Also, Concrete deck of bridge need a endurance permeability for the reduction repair payment. In this study, An experimental study on the quality standardization test method waterproofing layer on working of live load.

The target reliability values are defined for the train, signaling, rail track and electric power supply system of the LRT under development. The allocation of the reliability value is based on the failure rate and the failure type in the Korean subways. The reliability allocation in the train system is the made ore detail than others. The purpose of the allocation is to verify the reliability value of the results from each of the development stage, which could be the designing, manufacturing and purchasing work. The reliability of braking system, traction system, door system and other control system could be verified by establishing reliability models of these system. It could also enable us to estimate and analyse the reliability value and redo the work if necessary to achieve the shooting reliability value. A guide to the LRT reliability criteria is to be prepared after running test on the test track.

The medicine is used for diagnosis, treatment or prevention of disease and consequently has an important influence upon human life and health. Its effectiveness and safety must be guaranteed. In order to achieve the facility that meets GMP, KFDA has provided standards for quality assurance of the manufacture, examination and tests of medical supplies. The result of this study were as follows : the GMP facilities are divided into work, lab/test and storage spaces, and the systematic corridor. The clean rooms are mainly installed in work and lab/test spaces, and maintain class 10,000 in average. The individual space for the procedures that requires class 100 is not provided as a separate division. Instead, they are performed in the clean bench of the laboratory.

The objective of this research work is to develop an autonomous levee-weeding robot. In this paper, pathway control system for the robot is developed and simulated. A prototype autonomous vehicle for levee weeding is also developed and used in the actual test. The results obtained in this research work is summarized as follows; 1) The simulated typical time history of lateral displacements and heading angle of the vehicle in straight run shows that the vehicle tendency is always to achieve the target path from any of its deviated position and heading angle. 2) The test run on an asphalt surface by the prototype crawler-type vehicle is in good agreement with the simulation results.

This paper addresses a development work of a SLA apparatus on laboratory basis. The SLA test machine is composed of optical, movement, curing and control subsystems. Optical part is performed by a He-Cd laser with mirror combination and mechanical movement is achieved by X-Y table. The developed system is evaluated by several test runs, and shows a good precision capability in forming a basic part. The technique used in this work can be extended to replace the high technology transfer cost of commercial RP machine.

A free piston and free displacer(FPFD) Stirling cryocooler for cooling infrared and cryo-sensors is currently under development at KIMM(Korea Institute of Machinery ＆ Materials). Our coolers are specifically designed to work in the thermal imaging device and to meet requirements such as cooling capacity, COP and high reliability. In this work, Stirling cryocooler is designed, manufactured and fabricated, and performance characteristics are investigated. This cooler delivers approximately 0.5W cooling at 77K for 30W ∼ 40W of input power from AC power supply. And, after the climate performance and reliability for the cryocooler is discussed, operating test without cooling load at the cold end is performed.

The study is closely relevant to Lade's single work hardening model. This model has been shown to have good applicability to cohesive soils. However the validation of this model on the clayey soils has not been satisfactorily reported. To scrutinize the applicability of this model on clayey foundation the laboratory tests for Kwangyang clayey soils were performed using the improved cubical triaxial test apparatus designed originally by Lade. A computer program was developed by which soil parameters for the single work-hardening model can be rationally determined by deleting some dispersed test data generated usually at the initial stage of laboratory tests. And using the program numerical analysis of the cubical clayey specimens using intermediate principal stress was carried out and a good agreement between observed values and numerical results was found.

This paper first presents the author's personal view on the importance of modeling in scientific research in general, and then describes two of his works toward modeling certain aspects of human speech communication. The first work is concerned with the physiological and physical mechanisms of controlling the voice fundamental frequency of speech, which is an important parameter for expressing information on tone, accent, and intonation. The second work is concerned with the cognitive processes involved in a discrimination test of speech stimuli, which gives rise to the phenomenon of so-called categorical perception. They are meant to illustrate the power of models based on deep understanding and precise formulation of the functions of the mechanisms/processes that underlie observed phenomena. Finally, it also presents the author's view on some models that are yet to be developed.

The objective of this work was to characterize mechanical properties of thermoplastic composites for various forming condition in compression molding. Randomly oriented long glass fiber reinforced polypropylene(PP) was used in the work. The composite materials contained 20%, 30%, and 40% glass fiber by weight. Compression molding was conducted to make the test specimen. Dimensional stability was measured on each forming condition with the spring-forward angle. Tensile test was conducted to characterize mechanical properties of formed parts in various forming conditions.
