In this study, we used the big data of Voice of Customer (VOC) related to high-speed Internet products to look at the causes of perceived quality and the possibility of proactive service. In order to verify the possibility of proactive service, we collected VOC data from 13 facilities and equipment of a mobile communication service company, and then conducted 𝒙2 test to verify that there was a statistically significant difference between the actual VOC observation values and expected values. We found statistical evidence that proactive service is possible through real-time monitoring for the six disability alarms among the 13 facilities and equipment, which are FTTH-R Equipment ON/OFF, FTTH-EV Line Error Detection, Port Faulty, FTTH-R Line Error Detection, Network Loop Detection, and Abnormal Limiting Traffic. Companies are able to adopt the proactive service to improve their market share and to reduce customer service costs. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the actual application of industry in that it has diagnosed the possibility of proactive service in the telecommunication service sector and further suggested suggestions on how to provide effective proactive service.

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to eliminate communication shadowing loss of the 'smart safety management system'. The 'smart safety management system' can monitor and relay real time data of workers working in high risk workplace (i.e: industrial scene, disaster scene). The data will provide the rescue team the 'golden hour' in their rescue operations. Method: In this research, safety tag was designed and implemented so that it acts as a repeater for the user. Result: In other words, when communication in-between the safety tag and headquarters' communication terminal is jeopardized, the safety tag will act as a repeater-terminal for other safety tags in the area. Conclusion: The research tested if a specific building with communication shadowing loss problem was resolved when safety tags were implemented. Communication shadowing was first identified in-between the safety tag and headquarters' communication terminal. When extra safety tags were deployed in the same situation, the results showed that the communication shadowing loss was resolved. The repeater safety tags could resolve communication shadowing loss of up to three basement levels in this test building.
Background: The association of biomaterial combined with repair factor-like platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has prospective values. Bovine-derived xenograft has been identified as an osteoconductive and biocompatible grafting material that provides osseointegration ability. PRP has become a valuable adjunctive agent to promote healing in a lot of dental and oral surgery procedures. However, there are controversies with respect to the regenerative capacity of PRP and the real benefits of its use in bone grafts. The purpose of this study was to assess the influence of PRP combined with xenograft for the repair of peri-implant bone defects. Methods: Twelve rabbits were used in this study, and the experimental surgery with implant installation was performed simultaneously. Autologous PRP was prepared before the surgical procedure. An intrabony defect (7.0 mm in diameter and 3.0 mm deep) was created in the tibia of each rabbit; then, 24 titanium dental implants (3.0 mm in diameter and 8.5 mm long) were inserted into these osteotomy sites. Thus, a standardized gap (4.0 mm) was established between the surrounding bony walls and the implant surface. The gaps were treated with either xenograft alone (control group) or xenograft combined with PRP (experimental group). After healing for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 weeks, the rabbits were sacrificed with an overdose of KCl solution. Two rabbits were killed at each time, and the samples including dental implants and surrounding bone were collected and processed for histological analysis. Results: More newly formed bone and a better bone healing process were observed in control group. The histomorphometric analysis revealed that the mean percentage of bone-to-implant contact in the control group was significantly higher than that of the experimental group (25.23 vs. 8.16 %; P < 0.05, independent-simple t test, analysis of variance [ANOVA]). Conclusions: The results indicate that in the addition of PRP to bovine-derived xenograft in the repair of bone defects around the implant, PRP may delay peri-implant bone healing.
Many researches have been performed on concrete with fly ash and bottom ash. However researches on concrete with pond ash (PA) and its application to RC (Reinforced Concrete) structure are limitedly carried out. This paper presents an applicability of PA concrete in construction of real size structure. Referring to the previous study, 2 domestic PA samples with normal performance are selected and 2 replacement ratios (25% and 50%) to fine aggregate are considered for 5 PA concrete structures consisting of column, slab, and wall. In order to evaluate the property of fresh concrete, several tests including air content, slump, and setting time are performed. Using cored out samples from hardened PA concrete structure, tests for strength, resistance to carbonation and chloride penetration are carried out and compared with control samples. Additionally, tests for rebound hardness, drying shrinkage, and hydration heat are performed for PA concrete structure. The test results showed that PA concrete has reasonable strength and durability performances compared to those of normal concrete. Therefore, its potential application to RC structure is promising. The PA aggregate can be more actively used for RC structures with better quality control for content of fly ash, bottom ash, and unburned carbon.
We present an experimental framework to analyze the physical reactions and causal factors of Visually Induced Motion Sickness (VIMS) using electroencephalography (EEG) signals and vital signs. We studied eleven subjects who are voluntarily participated in the experiments and conducted online and offline surveys. In order to simulate videos including global motions that could cause the motion sickness, we extracted global motions by optical flow estimation method from hand-held captured video recordings containing intense motions. Then, we applied the extracted global motions to our test videos with action movies and texts. Each genre of video includes three levels of different motions depending on its intensity. EEG signal and vital sign that were measured by a portable electrocorticography device and an electronic monometer in real time while the subjects watch the videos including ones with the extracted motions. We perform an analysis of the EEG signals using Distance Map(DM) calculated by correlation among each channel of brain signal. Analysis using the vital signs and the survey results is also performed to obtain relationship between the VIMS and causal factors. As a result, we clustered subjects into three groups based on the analysis of the physical reaction using the DM and the correlation between vital sign and survey results, which shows high relationships between the VIMS and the intensity of motions.
This study was conducted to investigate the differences in daily nutrient intakes, dietary habits and nutrition knowledge between male and female college students. Male undergraduate students 004 subjects) and female undergraduate students (229 subjects) , enrolled at H University in Daejeon, were recruited for this study. The mean age of the subjects was 22.9 year in male and 20.4 year in female students. Daily intakes of energy and nutrients were calculated from the records of one day of dietary food intakes by 24-hour recall method, and general information, dietary habits and attitudes, food intake frequency and food preferences and knowledge for food and nutrition were surveyed through a questionnaire. About $70.1\%$ of male and $66.1\%$ of female students were in the normal range of BMI (18.5 - 23), and $25.2\%$ of male students were over-weighted in contrast to $27.7\%$ of female students were underweight. Males and females were taking $77.2\%$ and $77.9\%$ of RDA for energy, respectively, and $54.8\%$ of male and $48.0\%$ of female students were taking energy under $75\%$ of RDA. Many of them showed deficient intakes of calcium, iron, vitamin A and riboflavin. Average of MAR was 0.75 in male and 0.72 in female students. NAR for calcium, iron, vitamin A and riboflavin in male students were 0.55, 0.69,0.75 and 0.61, respectively, compared to 0.53, 0.51, 0.70 and 0.67 in female students. The nutrients, which have INQ less than 1, were calcium and riboflavin in male, compared to calcium, iron, and riboflavin in female students. There were no gender differences in meal regularity and meal skipping rates, but female students showed higher rates of skipping dinner than males (p < 0.001) About $50.8\%$ of female students were ingesting snacks 1 - 2 time/day, compared to $27.1\%$ of male students. For the food intake frequency, fruit group was significantly eating more for female than male students (p< 0.001) Though female students got higher scores for nutritional knowledge test (p < 0.001) than male students, they did not show better dietary habits or dietary attitudes than male students actually. Therefore, a more active and actual education program accustomed to the different genders and ages with focus on real changing of dietary behaviors needs to be developed and run in schools and local departments.
In these days, 3D dynamic simulation is closely related to many industries. In the past, physically-based 3D simulation was used mainly in the car crash or construction related fields, but it also plays an important role in movies or games today. Many mathematical computations are needed to represent the 3D object realistically, but it is difficult to process a large amount of calculations for simulation of application based on CPU in real-time. Recently, with the advanced graphic hardware and improved architecture, GPU can be utilized for the general purposes of computation function as well as graphic computation. Many approaches using GPU have been applied for various research fields. In this paper, we analyze the performance variation of two cloth simulation algorithms based on GPU according to the change of execution properties of GPU shaders in oder to optimize the performance of GPU-based cloth simulation. Cloth simulation is implemented by the spring centric algorithm and node centric algorithm with GPU parallel computing using compute shader of GLSL 4.3. We compare the performance of between these algorithms according to the change of the size and dimension of work group. The experiment is repeated to 10 times during 5,000 frames for each test and experimental results are provided by averaging of FPS. The experimental result shows that the node centric algorithm is executed in higher speed than the spring centric algorithm.
A simple 2D gaze tracking method using single camera and Purkinje image is proposed. This method employs single camera with infrared filter to capture one eye and two infrared light sources to make reflection points for estimating corresponding gaze point on the screen from user's eyes. Single camera, infrared light sources and user's head can be slightly moved. Thus, it renders simple and flexible system without using any inconvenient fixed equipments or assuming fixed head. The system also includes a simple and accurate personal calibration procedure. Before using the system, each user only has to stare at two target points for a few seconds so that the system can initiate user's individual factors of estimating algorithm. The proposed system has been developed to work in real-time providing over 10 frames per second with XGA $(1024{\times}768)$ resolution. The test results of nine objects of three subjects show that the system is achieving an average estimation error less than I degree.
Since late 1970s. one of the principal research areas in transportation problem is dynamic traffic assignment (DTA). Although many models have been developed regarding DTA, yet they have some limits of describing real traffic patterns. This reason comes from the fact that DTA model has the time varying constraints such as state equation, flow propagation constraint, first in first out(FIFO) rule and queuing evolution. Thus, DTA model should be designed to satisfy these constraints as well as dynamic route choice condition, dynamic user equilibrium. In this respect, link-based DTA models have difficulty in satisfying such constraints because they have to satisfy the constraints for each link, while path-based DTA models may easily satisfy them. In this paper we develop a path-based DTA model. The model includes point queue theory to describe the queue evolution and simulation loading method for depicting traffic patterns in more detail. From a numerical test, the model shows promising results.
The effect of fault on the stability of the closely-spaced twin tunnels located in fault zones was investigated by numerical analyses and scaled model tests on condition of varying widths, inclinations and material properties of fault. When obtaining the strength/stress ratios of pillar between twin tunnels, three different stresses were used which were measured at the middle point of pillar, calculated to whole average along the pillar section and measured at the left/right edges of pillar. Among them, the method by use of the left/right edges turned out to be the most conservative stability estimation regardless of the presence of fault and reflected the excavating procedures of tunnel in real time. It was also found that the strength/stress ratios of pillar were decreased as the widths and inclinations of fault were increased and as the material properties of fault were decreased on condition using the stresses measured at the left/right edges of pillar. As a result of scaled model tests, it was found that the model with fault showed less crack initiating pressure than the model without fault. As the width of fault was larger, tunnel stability was decreased. The fault had also a great influence on the failure behavior of tunnels, such as the model without fault showed failure cracks generated horizontally at the left/right edges of pillar and at the sidewalls of twin tunnels, whereas the model with fault showed failure cracks directionally generated at the center of pillar located in the fault zone.
