  • Power line in electric power tunnel generate heat around during power transmission. Rising temperature inside the electric power tunnel reduces the transmission efficiency of the power line. In this study, trying to understand the change in temperature in the electric power tunnel by forced ventilation and natural ventilation when the temperature rise of the electric power tunnel. The results show that average temperature in electric power tunnel by natural ventilation, forced ventilation is $56.55^{\circ}C$, $23.25^{\circ}C$. Therefore electric power tunnel during power transmission needs cooling or ventilation system.

  • This study was carried out to provide a valuable reference which could reduce heating loss of air-inflated double PO film. Therefore, this study was aimed to choose the best air space thickness and injected air temperature. The characteristics of heat transmission variation at experimental materials were measured and analysed in the laboratory. The experiment was conducted of two layers of PO film, each 0.15 mm tick, sandwiching 110, 175, 225 mm of inflated air with 1 m sides. Environmental control lab was constantly controlled with $-10^{\circ}C$ and experiment chamber was constantly changed with 0, 5, 10, $15^{\circ}C$. The analysis of heat transfer showed that heat transmission does not have a direct correlation with Air Space thickness and injected air temperature. But when inside and outside temperature difference of chamber was great, supply of outside air to Air Space had an advantage at reduction of heating load. It was required to examine accurate analysis at a real greenhouse.

  • With the sustained and rapid development of new energy sources, the demand for electric energy is increasing day by day. However, China's energy distribution is not balanced, and the construction of transmission lines is in a serious lag behind the improvement of generating capacity. So there is an urgent need to increase the utilization of transmission capacity. The transmission capacity is mainly limited by the maximum allowable operating temperature of conductor. At present, the evaluation of transmission capacity mostly adopts the static thermal rating (STR) method under severe environment. Dynamic thermal rating (DTR) technique can improve the utilization of transmission capacity to a certain extent. In this paper, the meteorological parameters affecting the conductor temperature are analyzed with the IEEE standard thermal equivalent equation of overhead transmission lines, and the real load capacity of 220 kV transmission line is calculated with 7-year actual meteorological data in Weihai. Finally, the thermal load capacity of DTR relative to STR under given confidence is analyzed. By identifying the key parameters that affect the thermal rating and analyzing the relevant environmental parameters that affect the conductor temperature, this paper provides a theoretical basis for the wind power grid integration and grid intelligence. The results show that the thermal load potential of transmission lines can be effectively excavated by DTR, which provides a theoretical basis for improving the absorptive capacity of power grid.

  • Current rating of a power cable can be calculated by the maximum allowable temperature in an insulating material considering the heat transfer from cable conductor. Therefore, it is very important to calculate the current rating using electrical equivalent circuit by calculated cable thermal circuit parameters but, it has not been fully investigated yet. In this paper, in order to determine the current rating of power cable, conventional calculation method has been reviewed considering the conductor resistance, loss factor of sheath, dielectric losses and thermal resistances based on the maximum allowable temperature of 345 kV $2500mm^2$ XLPE cable. To confirm the calculation result of the current rating, the conductor temperature should be examined whether it reaches the maximum allowable temperature by the thermal equivalent circuit of the cable. Then, utilizing EMTP (Electro-Magnetic Transient Program) which is a conventional program for electrical circuit, the thermal equivalent circuit was transformed to an electric equivalent circuit using an analogous relationship between thermal circuit and electrical circuit, and temperature condition including cable conductor, sheath, cable jacket could be calculated by the current rating of 345 kV $2500mm^2$ XLPE cable.

  • Experimental approach was investigated to improve gear rattle noise of a small car. During the development of a small car serious problem occurred inside the transmission gear units. The transmission was a carried over system from a less powered predecessor. Several components of suspicion were investigated, and applied to reduce rattle noise. In general, backlash, the assembly gaps, and the clutch disk rattle induce gear rattle noise. Above mentioned improvements were applied to reduce the noise, but still problem remained. Meanwhile, the temperature inside the gearbox was reported to be unusually high and the life of transmission oil quality deteriorated drastically, Temperature increment caused the large gap between the bearing outer diameter and the transmission housing. Large gap made the gear shaft assembly move intermittently and impact each other. The tighter control of the assembly gap allowed the rotating shafts smoothly and reduced the gear rattle noise even in the high temperature range.

  • This paper proposes a method to process the shape of an optical transmission road and attempts to determine the most suitable single processing method for an acrylic plate optical transmission road. In addition, by manufacturing an automatic pattern processing device to generate certain shapes on the acrylic plate at regular intervals, and measuring the illuminance of the patterned acrylic plate optical transmission road, the measured illuminance was confirmed to fall under the KS illuminance values presented in Table 1. In conclusion, when an incident light of approximately 20,000 lx is applied, the transmission illumination is approximately 200 lx, which represents a transmission rate of approximately 1% for incident light and corresponds to the KS illumination criterion F. Additionally, the right-angle triangular pyramid base size (A) processed at a temperature of 350 ℃ for one second was 2 mm, exhibiting the largest transmission illumination of 280 lx. When the transparent acrylic plate was set to a constant size of 1.6 mm at the bottom of the right-angle triangular pyramid, the fastest response occurred at a processing tip temperature of 350 ℃ (0.04 s). On the other hand, it took 10 s to process the size of the bottom of the right-angled triangular pyramid at a temperature of 200 ℃ to 1.6 mm, and it was confirmed that the optical transmission efficiency was significantly reduced because of the burr that occurred at this time.

  • The measurements of monochromatic line-of-sight flame emission and light transmission in the same path having small spatial resolution were performed in an axisymmetric laminar propane $C_{3}H_{8}$ diffusion flame. The light wavelengthes of 632 nm, 800nm, 900nm were used. From these measurements, local point soot radiances (by Kirchhoff's law) and absorption coefficients were reconstructed by tomography. Thus local point soot temperatures and concentrations were obtained. The reconstructed soot temperatures and concentrations of local points have no differences between the case of visible range (632 nm) and the case of infrared range (800 nm and 900 nm). In these ranges, the scattering coefficient is much lower than the absorption coefficient. Soot mean temperature over the path also matches well with local soot temperature in outer region of the flame. Temperature measurement by thermocouple with different bead diameters $(222{\mu}m and 308{\mu}m)$ was carried in the same flame. Rapid insertion technique was used and radiation effect was considered. Radiation correction in the sooting region was carried out and the corrected result was in good agreement with the local soot temperature.

  • Insulation of valve-side windings in converter transformer withstands pulsating voltages, which will produce more serious insulation problems. In this paper, the electric breakdown experiments of oil-paper insulation specimens were executed at pulsating voltages and different temperatures. Experiment and analysis results showed that the breakdown voltage decreased with increasing temperature under pulsating voltage. The influence of temperature proves to be more significant once the temperature exceeds a limitation threshold. A fitting formula between breakdown voltage and the temperature was reported. Finally, in order to clearly understand the breakdown properties under pulsating voltage, the electric field distribution and space charge behavior under pulsating voltage at different temperature were discussed.
