A Study on the Fashion Characteristics of Female Announcers of TV Baseball Programs (TV 야구 프로그램 여성 아나운서의 패션 특성 연구)

  • Recently, female announcers in the baseball programs on television are drawing attention to their fashion. This study analyzes the shape, color, material, detail, and accessory of female announcers in the baseball programs broadcasted by KBS N SPORTS, MBC SPORTS+, SBS Sports, and XTM. The characteristics of their fashion were classified into reliability, popularity, differentiation, attractiveness, and dynamics. The analysis showed that the fashion of the female announcers of KBS N SPORTS showed reliability in shape, color, material, accessory, popularity, and differentiation in detail. For MBC SPORTS+, the popularity was shown in shape, color, material, and attractiveness was shown in detail. For SBS Sports, the differentiation and attractiveness were shown in material, and the differentiation and dynamics were shown in accessory. For XTM, the attractiveness and dynamics were shown in shape, the differentiation and dynamics were shown in color, the dynamics were shown in material, and the popularity was shown in accessory.

  • The interactive advertisement is already on satellite and cable broadcasting hereafter the introduction of this system is concerned on terrestrial programs. This study is to research the effectiveness of interactive TV advertising focusing on factors of involvement and interaction. Study started for the effect measurement of interactive television advertisement. Interactive television advertisement has different concept than existing television advertisement. Thus, the effect also needs to examine in other methods. Study is mainly focusing on the characteristics of interactive and the experiments, which was based on existing data, for measurement of effect. In the experiments, the characteristics were categorized in a search time, a number of searched pages about interactive television advertisement. The research finds that the involvement of the audience increases when the interaction of advertising attitude, brand attitude, and purchase intentions also increases. And so, a successful interactive TV advertisement results in longer searching hours and greater it visits by the audience when the interaction factors are considered and increased. By study of consumer's characteristics and behavior, a new method of the effect measurement for interactive television advertisement is provided. The new method includes not only existing measurement elements of television advertisement which are attitude on advertising and brand, and customers' purpose, but also the features of interactive television advertisement, which are search time, a number of searched pages. Recently added features provides data of the effect on high/low groups and it contributes to the process of interactive television advertisement. Study on interactive television advertisement will be helpful to plan an effective strategy by suggesting the theoretical evidence of its effect.

Characteristics of Korean TV Program Market (국내 방송 콘텐츠 유통 시장의 구조적 특성)

  • Korean TV program market has started since 1995 along with Cable TV and local TV stations and increased significantly due to Korean wave. Now the new platform such as IPTV makes a new opportunity of growth to the TV program market. This study will analyse the actual status and mechanism of Korean TV program market. To begin, Korean TV market is still dominated by terrestrial TV in domestic distribution market and in exportation even though the windows are diversified. This has influenced not only for the production market but also the distribution market as the following: continuous conflicts between terrestrial TV and independent production companies even though the significant increase of independent production in quantity ; terrestrial TV's dominance in distribution market with enormous libraries as for the major content provider. In addition, there are limited independent distributors due to the exclusive trade of TV programs by terrestrial TV. As for the exportation, foreign market for Korean TV programs are mainly Asian countries like Japan, China, etc. Furthermore, since the genre of distribution has been concentrated in dramas, it is time to make efforts to find a solution. Thus, this research can give a guideline as for the first step.

Days to Heading and Glossiness Variation of RILs derived from Hwayeong and Wandoaengmi 6

  • Improving the taste of rice in the breeding process is one of the important goals. However, it takes a lot of time and effort to select lines with good grain quality. MAS related to rice quality can help quickly and accurately select the elite lines in breeding programs. QTL qTV9, derived from Wandoaengmi 6, has been reported as a marker associated with improved glossiness of rice (Park et al., 2019). To confirm the function of QTL qTV9, 186 RILs derived from Hwayeong/Wandoaengmi6 were cultivated on ordinary planting cultivation for five years. The average DTH of Hwayeong and Wandoaengmi 6 was not significant at 99 and 97 days, respectively, but the averages of TV (toyo value) were 72.6 and 86.0, respectively. The DTH and TV of RIL vary from year to year. In 2017-2018, the average DTH was 98 days, which was significantly higher than the other three years. In 2018 and 2021, the average TV was 79.5 and 86.5, respectively, which were significantly higher than in other years. As a result of correlation analysis, DTH in the different years showed highly significant positive correlations (r = 0.71-0.92) from 0.71 to 0.92, whereas TV showed positive but weaker correlations (r = 0.42-0.71). The correlation between DTH and TV in each year was significant but weak (r = 0.25-0.64) and there was no correlation in 2017. The TV (77.6-88.7) of RILs with QTL qTV9 was significantly higher than that of RILs without qTV9 (72.6-84.9) for all five years. As a result of analyzing TV by DTH group, the TV of the lines with qTV9 in DTH groups (93-97) and (98-103) showed a significantly higher trend for all 5 years. And TV was not significant in DTH groups A, B, E, and F. This may have been influenced by factors such as insufficient populations between groups or differences in harvest timing. This study is expected to be used as data for improving the glossiness of cooked rice in breeding programs, and further study of the QTL qTV9 marker is required.

Comparative Analysis of Nutrients between HMR Products and TV Recipes: Focusing on Soup, Stew, and Broth (HMR 제품과 방송 속 레시피의 영양성분 분석: 국, 찌개, 탕류를 중심으로)

  • This study examined the nutrient content of HMR products and recipes by television chefs. Twelve menu items from the soup, stew, and broth category were chosen from HMR products and TV chef's recipes. The data on the nutrition labeling from the HMR products and TV chef's recipes were calculated using Can-Pro 5.0. The results of the analysis were the differences between the HMR products and TV recipes per serving size. The energy content of TV recipes 236.1 kcal was significantly higher than the HMR products. On the other hand, HMR products contained significantly higher sodium (926.9 mg) levels than the TV recipes (565.8 mg). In general, HMR products contained more sodium and less energy and protein than TV recipes. The highest sodium content containing products among the 12 menu items was the Spicy soft tofu stew (1,421.4 mg) from HMR products. The results revealed the significant differences in the macronutrient and sodium content between HMR products and the TV chef's recipe. This study provides supportive data for the need to reduce the sodium content in HMR products. TV cooking programs should focus on the importance of balanced nutrition, how to reduce sodium intake, and how to achieve this without disrupting well-balanced nutrition.

  • This study analyzed the influence of the format import of Korean entertainment programs on the Chinese broadcasting industry. To this end, an in-depth interview was conducted with the production staff of Chinese broadcasting stations. As a result of the analysis of this study, it was found that the format and production method of Chinese entertainment programs began to change from the time the format of Korean entertainment programs was imported.

  • As control programs are becoming larger and more complex, the capacity of a microprocessor in a TV set needs to have a CPU with 32 bits or more. Also the embedded system such like a digital TV set uses RTOS (Real Time Operating System)[1]. LGE Co. has developed a digital TV system that displays HD (High definition) signal with the AR7TDMI CPU and the commercial RTOS[2]. This thesis made improvements on problems caused by porting embedded LiNUX in limited size memory (2 mega byte) instead of RTOS[3]. The advantages of changing to embedded LiNUX take away running OS royalty that needed to make TV sets[4].

  • 한국의 방송은 이제 인터랙티브 TV 서비스를 실시하기 시작했다. 인터랙티브 서비스는 잠재가치가 매우 뛰어나 앞으로의 방송시장에 막대한 부를 안겨줄 수 있을 것으로 예상되고 있다. 그러나 우리나라는 인터랙티브 TV프로그램이 기술적으로는 충분히 가능함에도 불구하고, 그다지 실질적으로 활용하지 못하고 있다. 이는 근본적으로는 인터랙티브 기술이 시청자의 관심과 참여를 이끌어낼 만큼 경쟁력 있는 포맷의 컨텐츠를 발굴해 내지 못하고 있기 때문이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 우선 TV의 인터랙티브성(Interactivity)을 정의 내리고, 해외 인터랙티브 TV프로그램 제작 성공 사례를 분석한다. 그리고 이들이 어떤 기술을 바탕으로 서비스를 하고 있으며 어떻게 성공할 수 있었는지 알아보도록 한다. 그리고 한국 디지털 방송의 성공을 위한 인터랙티브 방송 모델을 제시한다.

  • This paper describes TVML (TV program Making Language) for automatically generating television programs from text-based script. This language describes the contents of a television program using expression with a high level of abstraction like“title #1”and“zoom-in”. The software used to read a script written in TVML and to automatically generate the program video and audio is called the TVML Player. The paper begins by describing TVML language specifications and the TVML Player. It then describes the“external control mode”of the TVML Player that can be used for applying TVML to interactive applications. Finally, it describes the TVML Editor, a user interface that we developed which enables users having no specialized knowledge of computer languages to make TVML scripts. In addition to its role as a television-program production tool. TVML is expected to have a wide range of applications in the network and multimedia fields.

  • As digital broadcasting process and information compressing technologies developed, digital technologies have been used extensively in many visual media such as movies and TV programs, and it is required to develop a new process for 3 dimensional digital programs. The study attempts to develop a new digital video-producing process through pre-simulation using a digital storytelling method, in order to increase the quality of broadcasting, reducing the producing time and improve efficiency. This system, supposed to be used to produce actual broadcasting, includes all tools needed for broadcasting in the program, so users can select an appropriate set among the pre-made library, which saves time for making sets. Also, it offers a storyboard making function by perfectly representing the functions of a virtual camera, and enables users to make the better storyboard, checking the real time movies. In addition, it recognizes objects though avatars, organizes the appropriate set for these avatars to act, and embodies a variety of avatar movements through which it reaffirms the camera's position and organization, minimizing errors and saving time and budget.
