록업 클러치 주변의 온도 측정 및 수치 해석 (Measurement and Numerical Analysis far Temperature near the Lockup Clutch)

  • The present article deals with the measurement and the numerical calculations far the temperature distribution near the facing of the lockup clutch. The rotating telemetry system is Introduced for the estimation inside high-speed torque converter For the numerical calculation, the effect of the convective heat transfer is considered as well as the conduction to the solid. The estimation shows that the oil temperature near facing rapidly rises as the lockup clutch is engaged. The numerical results shows good agreements with the experimental values for the maximum temperature near the facing of the lockup clutch.

The Communication Satellite Transponder Testing by EGSE System

  • EGSE is used to check out satellite payload during the development prior to launch. The EGSE represented in this paper is a test system for Ka band communication transponder of COMS. The EGSE consist of two subsystems as CTS subsystem and PCTS subsystem. Communication Test subsystem (CTS) performs satellite transponder RF performance testing, data analysis and trending. Most of transponder RF performances are automatically tested by the CTS subsystem. Power, Command & Telemetry subsystem (PCTS) monitor telemetry messages from the transponder and send tele-commands to satellite transponder for the configuration change. PCTS also provide simulated S/C power to the transponder during the ground validation testing. The EGSE test functions are verified by the transponder simulator testing and will be used for the flight model transponders testing.

적외선을 이용한 생체신호의 원격측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Biotelemetry using Infra-red Light)

  • Recently, interest in infra-red(IR) telemetry has increased because of the entirely different propagation and reflection properties of IR light as compared to radiowaves. IR hardly penetrates most materials and is reflected from obstacles. An biotelemetry system using these characteristics of indirect transmitted IR lights was developed, in which 3 ECG's are multiplexed and modulated in PDM/PIM pulse sequence. This proto-type system enables us to realize the non-restraint measurement of biological signals. Compared with conventional radio telemetry, this technique has some merits such as no electromagnetic interference, no frequency allocation problem, no government control over transmission power.

음향 텔레메트리에 의한 조피볼락의 귀소범위 및 귀소경로 측정 (Home Ranges and Homing Routes of the Black Rockfish Sebastes schlegeli Measured by Acoustic Telemetry)

  • The black rockfish (Sebastes schlegeli) is an important commercial species in Korean fisheries. We used acoustic telemetry using coded ultrasonic transmitters to track the home ranges and homing routes of the black rockfish that inhabit in the Tongyeong marine ranching area. Twenty-four fish were released at five points. The distance from the capture point (C1) to the released point was 0 (R7), 0.2 (R1), 0.9 (R2), 1.3 (R3) and 1.9 (R4) km. Two of the three fish released at R1 (0.2 km) returned home in under 48hrs. Another was found 0.8km from C1. Two of the five fish released at R2 returned home, but it took over 250 days. None of the ten fish released at R3 and R4 returned home. Three of the ten fish moved 1.1-2.6 km from C1 and were found near a cage or a natural reef. Six fish were released at R7. The younger the fish, the wider was its movement range around the artificial reefs. Fish over 3 years old were likely to move less far.

다중 PCM 데이터를 이용한 텔레메트리 데이터 복구 방법 (Telemetry Data Recovery Method Using Multiple PCM Data)

  • 최근 여러 개의 지상국에서 수신한 PCM 데이터를 병합하여 잡음에 의한 프레임 오류를 제거하는 방법에 관한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 단순 병합 방식은 이미 나로우주센터의 데이터처리 시스템에 적용되어, 나로호의 1, 2차 비행시험 데이터 분석에 사용된 바 있다. 본 논문은 단순 데이터 병합방식에 데이터 치환, 비트단위 투표 등의 오류교정 알고리즘 및 시간지연데이터를 이용한 교정알고리즘을 적용하여 오류율을 더 낮추는 데 초점을 맞추고 있다. 네 개 지상국에서 수신된 나로호 비행시험 데이터에 제안된 알고리즘을 적용한 결과 단순 병합방식보다 1.32%의 오류율이 개선된 것으로 나타났다. 제시된 알고리즘은 향후 다양한 텔레메트리 병합데이터 생성에 유용하게 사용될 수 있으리라 판단된다.

HLS를 이용한 텔레메트리 표준 106-17 LDPC 부호기 설계 (Telemetry Standard 106-17 LDPC Encoder Design Using HLS)

  • HLS는 C/C++ 언어로 기술된 소스 코드로부터 자동으로 HDL 코드를 생성하므로 타이밍이나 제어가 간단하고 하드웨어 구조를 쉽게 변경할 수 있어 FPGA 시스템 개발 기간을 단축할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 Xilinx사의 Vivado HLS를 이용하여 텔레메트리 표준 106-17 LDPC 부호기를 설계할 때 간단한 코드 수정으로 목적에 맞는 구조 변경의 용이함을 보이고 Spartan-7 xc7s100 디바이스를 타겟으로 합성하여 throughput과 하드웨어 복잡도 등의 결과를 비교하였다.

  • The underwater sound transmission system(USTS) was experimentally made to monitor the cetacean's appearance by telemetry, and then its system was tested to evaluate its performance from July to October, 2007 at the Kimnyeong berth and the dolphin's breeding ground of Pacific Land in Jeju island, respectively. The results showed that the sweep sound in the trial experiment and the whistle sound of bottlenose dolphin(Tursiops truncatus) were favorably received by telemetry. Therefore, we could confirm the USTS is able to monitor the cetacean's appearance in real time without direct observation at sea within effective range of code division multiple access(CDMA) communication method.

Autonomous Tracking of Micro-Sized Flying Insects Using UAV: A Preliminary Results

  • Tracking micro-sized insects is one of the challenges of protecting ecosystems and biodiversity. In this study, we propose an approach for the autonomous tracking of micro-sized flying insects, and develop an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-based robotic system. The Kalman filter is applied to the received signal strength emitted from radio telemetry to estimate the position while reducing the measurement error and noise. The autonomous tracking strategy is a method in which the UAV rotates at one point to measure the signal strength and control its position in the strongest direction of the signal. We also design a system architecture comprising a tracking sensor system and a UAV system for micro-sized insects. The estimation and autonomous tracking of the target position by the proposed system are verified and evaluated through dynamic simulation. Therefore, in this study, we propose and validate a UAV-based tracking system for micro-sized flying insects, which has not been proposed in studies conducted thus far.

우주발사체 텔레메트리용 해상 이동형 다운레인지 안테나의 자이로컴퍼스 보정과 포인팅 정확도 향상 (Gyrocompass Correction and Pointing Accuracy Improvement of the Ship-Borne Mobile Down Range Antenna for Launcher Telemetry)

  • 3축 이동형 다운 레인지 S-band 텔레메트리 안테나 시스템은 위성발사 시 해상에서 정밀한 포인팅 정확도가 요구된다. 저궤도 위성을 추적하여 이 안테나의 포인팅 및 추적 성능을 측정하고 검증하는 방법과 포인팅 바이어스를 결정하는 방법을 제시하였다. 이 방법에 따라 제주 해상과 태평양 공해상에서 실시한 시험에서 방위각 축에 존재하는 포인팅 바이어스를 산출하였고, 이 원인이 자이로컴퍼스의 진북 측정 오차가 표류(drift)하는데 있는 것으로 분석하였다. 측정된 바이어스의 크기를 고려하여 자이로컴퍼스의 헤딩 오프셋 값을 안테나 시스템에 보정한 후에 포인팅 오차를 재측정한 결과, 보정한 각도만큼 포인팅 오차가 향상되는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이어진 나로호 3차 발사에서 나로호(KSLV-I)를 포인팅 요구범위 내에서 안정적으로 추적하였음을 제시하였다.
