  • 시스템반도체는 스마트 및 융합이라는 동인에 적합한 미래유망 산업 및 서비스 창출에 핵심이 되는 부품으로써, 다양한 산업 경쟁력에 미치는 파급효과가 대단히 높은 분야이다. 또한 대외 수출 의존도가 높은 산업구조에서 메모리반도체 세계 1위라는 성공을 발판 삼아 4배나 큰 시스템반도체 시장을 확보해야 하는 것은 당면한 과제 중 높은 우선순위에 속한다고 하겠다. 본고에서는 국내외 시스템반도체 산업 및 시장 동향, 경쟁국의 지원정책 동향, 국내 팹리스 기업의 현황과 문제점, 시스템반도체를 설계 및 검증하는 기법의 진화, 그간의 정부 지원정책 성과분석 등을 통해 향후 시스템반도체 산업과 팹리스 기업들의 경쟁력 향상을 위한 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • In the maritime industry, the convergence of information and communication technology (ICT) occurs in two areas. The first one is the convergence of e-navigation technology to apply ICT to the maritime domain. This was led by EU's initiative and is also being promoted in our country. The other one is the convergence of autonomous ship technology to apply various ICT technologies for commercial purposes. This initiative is being led by maritime industries. In this paper, we describe trends of e-navigation and maritime autonomous surface ship technology convergence. Subsequently, we explain the standardization status of performance and technical standard bodies, international standardization organizations, and related standard-developing organizations to provide the interoperability of these technologies. Finally, we examine ongoing projects in Korea and suggest future directions for their R&D and standardization.

  • 본 연구는 1990년대 우리나라를 포함한 OECD 국가의 지식기반산업 현황을 기술하고, 지식기반산업에서 IT 산업의 역할을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 1990년대 OECD 국가들의 지식기반산업의 중요한 특징은 OECD 각 국가들이 지식기반산업을 미래 중요한 산업으로 인식하고 지속적 자원투자와 관심을 기울이고 있다는 데 있다. 본 연구에서 대상 분석기간 동안 OECD 국가의 지식기반산업성장률은 5% 증가하였으며, 우리나라의 경우는 이보다 높은 10%대의 증가를 기록하였다. 또한 OECD 국가들의 지식기반산업 형성과정에서 IT 산업은 전통적 제조업의 역할보다 기술혁신 측면과 무역수지 측면에서 매우 중요한 역할을 수행한 것으로 나타났다. 특히 우리나라의 경우에 지식기반산업의 형성과정에서 IT 산업의 기여도는 다른 OECD 국가보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 지식기반산업 가운데 IT 산업은 생산성 증가요인을 분해하여 볼 때, 전반적으로 산업간의 효율성에 의한 생산성증가, 산업간의 자원이동에 의한 생산성증가 그리고 IT 산업자체의 노동생산성증가 요인에서 다른 산업에 비하여 상대적으로 우월하게 나타났다.

  • The purpose of this article is to abstract Industries 4.0 Top documents and express the fundamental strategies. It is clear that disruptive AI + ICBM technology will change the entire industry, and therefore each country is making a strategy to prepare for the future. Example cases are Japan's Monozukuri, Germany's Industry 4.0, the USA's Reshoring, and China's Made in China 2025. I would like to introduce Industrial Industries 4.0 in Germany because Germany used the industrial industries' term first and Korea has as many SMEs as Germany has. The main characteristic is that it can be applied to the size of the individual SMEs rather than the national size.

  • This paper proposes a systematic framework for developing new service concepts, with an emphasis on the customer's perspective. The framework consists of three phases; identification of customer needs, extraction of new service opportunities, and generation of new service concepts. The proposed framework is demonstrated through a case study in the telecommunications industry.

  • This paper investigates two kinds of strategic combinations carried out by the European telecom operators between 1986 and 2001: acquisitions, on the one hand, and strategic alliances, on the other. The aim of the paper is twofold. First, it analyzes the behavior adopted by these companies to adapt to an environment that, after the processes of globalization and privatization presents a clearly different structure. Second, it focuses on the effect that internationalization and diversification could exert over the returns obtained by the European telecom firms involved in acquisitions and alliances, differentiating when such strategic combinations are more profitable for the shareholders of the firms that carry them out.

  • Immersive media, which maximizes the viewer's sense of presence and immersion, has been developed in the form of 3D stereoscopic media and UHD media. Going one step further, VR media, which can provide immersive experiences within an artificially created environment, have recently been considered a type of next-generation media. Within this trend, numerous IT and broadcasting companies around the world are actively investing their time and resources to boost the emerging VR industry. In this paper, we introduce the representative VR media acquisition and broadcasting service technologies that are leading the current VR industry.

  • The paper presents five strategic opinions for promoting the fourth industry revolution through the supply of 5G additional frequency. The assessments are on the basis of 5G frequency utilization technologies and services, with reference to 3GPP 5G New Radio standards, after investigating the domestic 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G mobile communication services as well as the use of mobile radio frequency and spectrum. The presented opinions contain the frequency supply of contiguous-wide bandwidth channels, harmonized frequency supply between licensed and unlicensed spectrum, the existing 4G frequency recycle for increasing 5G coverage and capacity, balance frequency supply in the multi-band for 5G services, and the development of 5G vertical frequency for industry. The aim is that the presented five strategic opinions can offer guidance for the upcoming plan of domestic 5G additional frequency supply.

  • In this article, we introduce examples and technologies relating to particulate matter (PM) reduction technology, for the purpose of reducing PM that harms health and affects the entire industry such as dust-sensitive semiconductor industry. First, the definition of PM and how it is generated is explained, including its effects on the human body. In addition, various methods for measuring PM are described, including examples of the restrictions on the operation of polluting vehicles and emission reduction devices. Finally, we describe techniques relating to the reduction and forecasting of PM.

  • The future society will be changed through an artificial intelligence (AI) based intelligent revolution. To prepare for the future and strengthen industrial competitiveness, countries around the world are implementing various policies and strategies to utilize AI in the manufacturing industry, which is the basis of the national economy. Manufacturing AI technology should ensure accuracy and reliability in industry and should be explainable, unlike general-purpose AI that targets human intelligence. This paper presents the future shape of the "autonomous factory" through the convergence of manufacturing and AI. In addition, it examines technological issues and research status to realize the autonomous factory during the stages of recognition, planning, execution, and control of manufacturing work.
