토양오염 해석을 위한 석유제품 물성 및 TPH 분석 (Analysis of Physical Properties and Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon for Soil Contamination)

  • 석유의 누출로 인해 토양과 지하수 오염이 점차 증가되면서, 토양환경에 대한 중요성이 점차 늘고 있다. 토양오염은 다른 환경오염에 비해 정화비용이 비싸며, 긴 정화기간이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 토양오염을 발생시킬 수 있는 대표적 석유제품에 대한 물성분석과 함께 토양에 누유시킨 뒤, 석유계 총탄화수소화합물의 스펙트럼 패턴을 분석함으로써 유종들의 특성을 분석하였다. 이는 추후 석유에 의한 토양오염 발생 시, 어떤 석유제품에 의한 오염인지 쉽게 판단이 가능할 것이다.

Application of black box model for height prediction of the fractured zone in coal mining

  • The black box model is a relatively new option for nonlinear dynamic system identification. It can be used for prediction problems just based on analyzing the input and output data without considering the changes of the internal structure. In this paper, a black box model was presented to solve unconstrained overlying strata movement problems in coal mine production. Based on the black box theory, the overlying strata regional system was viewed as a "black box", and the black box model on overburden strata movement was established. Then, the rock mechanical properties and the mining thickness and mined-out section area were selected as the subject and object respectively, and the influences of coal mining on the overburden regional system were discussed. Finally, a corrected method for height prediction of the fractured zone was obtained. According to actual mine geological conditions, the measured geological data were introduced into the black box model of overlying strata movement for height calculation, and the fractured zone height was determined as 40.36 m, which was comparable to the actual height value (43.91 m) of the fractured zone detected by Double-block Leak Hunting in Drill. By comparing the calculation result and actual surface subsidence value, it can be concluded that the proposed model is adaptable for height prediction of the fractured zone.

고압용기의 계장선 통과부위 밀봉기술 개발 (Development of Sealing Technology for Instrumentation Feedthrough of High Pressure Vessel)

  • Fuel Test Loop(FTL) is a facility which could conduct a fuel irradiation test at HANARO(High-flux Advanced Neutron Application Reactor). FTL simulates commercial NPP's operating conditions such as the pressure, temperature and neutron flux levels to conduct the irradiation and thermo-hydraulic tests. The In-Pile Test Section(IPS) installed in HANARO FTL is designed as a pressure vessel design conditions of $350^{\circ}C$, 17.5MPa. The instrumentation MI-cables for thermocouples, SPND and LVDT are passed through the sealing plug, which is in the pressure boundary region and is a part of instrumentation feedthrough of MI-cable. In this study, the brazing method and performance test results are introduced to the sealing plug with BNi-2 filler metal, which is selected with consideration of the compatibility for the coolant. The performance was verified through the insulation resistance test, hydrostatic test, and helium leak test.

Compact E-Cash with Practical and Complete Tracing

  • E-cash has its merits comparing with other payment modes. However, there are two problems, which are how to achieve practical/complete tracing and how to achieve it in compact E-cash. First, the bank and the TTP (i.e., trusted third party) have different duties and powers in the reality. Therefore, double-spending tracing is bank's task, while unconditional tracing is TTP's task. In addition, it is desirable to provide lost-coin tracing before they are spent by anyone else. Second, compact E-cash is an efficient scheme, but tracing the coins from double-spender without TTP results in poor efficiency. To solve the problems, we present a compact E-cash scheme. For this purpose, we design an embedded structure of knowledge proof based on a new pseudorandom function and improve the computation complexity from O(k) to O(1). Double-spending tracing needs leaking dishonest users' secret knowledge, but preserving the anonymity of honest users needs zero-knowledge property, and our special knowledge proof achieves it with complete proofs. Moreover, the design is also useful for other applications, where both keeping zero-knowledge and leaking information are necessary.

클러스터링 알고리즘을 이용한 배관의 부식 상태 분류 (State Classification of the Corrosion of Pipes Using a Clustering Algorithm)

  • Pipes transport and supply fuel in various categories; however, corrosion occurs because of the external environment, impurities are mixed in the fuel, and substances leak to the outside, which can lead to serious accidents. Therefore, in this study, inspection equipment using a laser scanner was manufactured to classify conditions according to the degree of corrosion of the outer wall of the pipe, and the corrosion height and maximum value of the pipe were obtained from the surface information. Using the k-means method, it was classified into four states, and the standard of the average height and maximum height of corrosion for each state was derived.

Enhanced Piezoelectric Degradation of Tetracycline Using Single-Atom Cu Anchored on t-BaTiO3

  • Hydrothermal and ultrasonic processes were used in this study to synthesize a single-atom Cu anchored on t-BaTiO3. The resulting material effectively employs vibration energy for the piezoelectric (PE) catalytic degradation of pollutants. The phase and microstructure of the sample were analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and it was found that the sample had a tetragonal perovskite structure with uniform grain size. The nanomaterial achieved a considerable increase in tetracycline degradation rate (approximately 95 % within 7 h) when subjected to mechanical vibration. In contrast, pure BaTiO3 demonstrated a degradation rate of 56.7 %. A significant number of piezo-induced negative charge carriers, electrons, can leak out to the Cu-doped BaTiO3 interface due to Cu's exceptional conductivity. As a result, a single-atom Cu catalyst can facilitate the separation of these electrons, resulting in synergistic catalysis. By demonstrating a viable approach for improving ultrasonic and PE materials this research highlights the benefits of combining ultrasonic technology and the PE effect.

LNG탱크용 알루미늄합금 A5083-O의 관통균열 전파거동 예측 모델 (A Model Estimating the Propagation Behavior of through cracks in Aluminum alloy A5083-O for LNG Tank)

  • The leak before break(LBB) concept is generalized on the design of LNG tanks, pressure vessels and nuclear reactor in that any leakage of containment, in whatever amount, will not result in catastropic failure. For this purpose it is necessary to determine the surface crack shape, the opening displacement and the risk of catastropic brittle fracture when it becomes a through crack. In this study the crack propagation behavior of surface flaws and the crack opening displacement of through cracks under combined membrane and bending stresses were investigated with fatigue tests and fracture toughness test of aluminium alloy A5083-O. And fracture mechanics analysis of the crack opening displacement of through cracks were made in order to develop a new model expressing the behaviors of COD under combined membrane and bending stresses.

DRAM 기술에서 구리에 대한 Pt/Ti, Ni/Ti의 확산 방지막 특성에 관한 연구 (Investigation of Pt/Ti, Ni/Ti Diffusion Barrier Characteristics on Copper in DRAM Technology)

  • 차세대 고속 DRAM기술에 사용될 금속인 Cu의 확산 방지막(diffusion harrier) 물질로는 Ta 또는 W 같은 Refractory metal 이 융점(melting point)이 높고 저항값이 낮아 많이 연구 보고되고 있으나, 본 논문에서는 초고주파 소자에서 Au의 확산 방지 막으로 많이 사용되고 있으며. 선택적 증착이 용이한 Pt과 Ni를 MOS 소자의 Cu 확산 방지 막으로 적용하며 어닐링한 후 소자의 게이트 산화막 누설전류($I_{leak}$), 그리고. Si/$SiO_2$ 계면의 trap density 등의 변이를 측정하여 Cu가 소자의 특성 열화에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 실험 결과 Pt/Ti($200{\AA}/100{\AA}$)를 적용한 경우 소자 측성 열화가 가장 적었으며. 이는 Copper의 확산 방지막으로 Pt/Ti를 사용하여 전기적 특성 및 계면 특성을 개선시킬 수 있음을 보여 주었다. 이는 SIMS Profile을 통해서도 확인하였다.

진공급탕식 다이캐스팅법을 이용한 자동차 콤프레서용 하우징 부품 개발 (Development of a Housing Component for an Auto-compressor Using Vacuum Ladling Die Casting)

  • A vacuum ladling die casting system is suggested as a means to obtain a high vacuum level. A high vacuum of 17.8 mmHg is obtained by sealing the inner space of the mould. The sample product is a rear-head housing for an auto-compressor, and the die-casting with 6-cavities was conducted. The flow analysis shows that the filling speed during vacuum ladling is faster than for a non-vacuum system. The air holes in the sample product were too small to be seen with the naked eye in X-ray films. Density tests show that the high vacuum ladling system reduces the internal porosity as much as 57.8% when compared to the non-vacuum system. A defective rate of only 0.17% was found from leak testing. The results of this research prove that the high vacuum die-casting process is useful for manufacturing of aluminium components under high internal pressure.

Measurement of Transient Electric Field Emission from a 245 kV Gas Insulated Substation Model during Switching

  • The transient fields generated during switching operations in a Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) are associated with high frequency components in the order of few tens of MHz. These transient fields leak into the external environment of the gas-insulated equipment and can interfere with the nearby electronics. Measurements of the transient fields are thus required to characterise the interference caused by switching phenomena in such substations. In view of the above, E-field emission measurement during a switching operation has been carried out for a 245 kV GIS model, using a resonant dipole antenna and D-dot sensor. The characteristics of the E-fields i.e., frequency spectra and their levels have been analysed and are reported in the paper. Suitability of the measurements has been confirmed by comparing frequency spectra of the measured and computed transient fields.
