The purposes of this study were to explore the techniques of neutralization on unethical customer return behaviors, examine the differences in the neutralizations by customer characteristics, and examine the relationships of neutralizations with customer ethics, anomie, and impulsive behaviors. A total of 609 questionnaires were analyzed. Four factors including denial of injury/victim, condemning the condemners, denial of responsibility, and appeal to higher loyalties were extracted from the neutralization techniques. The neutralization techniques were not different by customer characteristics, but were negatively related with customer ethics and positively related with anomie and impulsive behaviors. The results indicate that the neutralization techniques are appropriate to understand unethical customer return behaviors in the Korean retail settings.
The harmful effects of online malicious comments are continuously increasing. Many previous studies have confirmed that neutralization of malicious comments is a key predictor. Neutralization is theoretically composed of seven multidimensional concepts, and the significance of neutralization factors varies depending on the type of deviant behavior. This study focuses on the fact that the malicious comment researches have considered the neutralization techniques in a single dimension as opposed to demonstrating the multidimensional neutralization techniques in the deviant behavior research. On the other hand, the role of arbitrator in deviant behavior can contribute to restraining deviant behavior, but the research of intervention intention is relatively lacking in malicious comments research. This study, composed of two complementary studies, tried to find out the related factors of malicious comments and intervention intention. As a result of study, This study revealed that malicious commentator uses the neutralization techniques of condemn the condemners and denial of responsibility. In addition, we found that affective empathy has a significant effect on the intervention intention in malicious comments.
Despite of continuous efforts to crack down on piracy using penalties and regulations, this unauthorized piracy market is still enormous. Since the moral hazard about this phenomenon is pervasive and continually upsets the major intellectual property markets, an alternative plan is required. The purpose of this study is to provide an objective insight for factors that affect people's digital video piracy behavior. The following two research propositions were the focus: what psychological factors affect piracy behavior and how are these factors related to one another? In order to accomplish the research aims, we reviewed literatures on the current state of piracy in South Korea, characteristics of digital contents, studies on criminal psychology and behavioral theories. Previous research in the fields of criminal theory indicated that neutralization, a form of rationalization, would help explain digital piracy intentions. Thus, this study developed a model that explains effects of neutralization techniques and tested the possibility of an integrated model with other behavioral theory such as TPB and TIB. Empirical results of the study(368 sample collected) showed that all the factors in TPB including Attitude to Piracy(+), Subjective Norm(-), Perceived Behavioral Control(+) had a significant impact on Piracy Intention. Moreover, two neutralization techniques, Condemn the Condemners(+) and Appeal to Higher Loyalties(+), had a significant effect on Piracy Intention. In addition, Past Behavior had strong impacts on Attitude(+), Perceived Behavioral Control(+) and Piracy Intention(+). In terms of Expected Profit, it had an impact on Attitude to Piracy positively. These findings suggest implications for protecting the current intellectual property markets, with many stakeholders in movies and media industries. There are some limitations as followed: first, the study did not consider other neutralization techniques, low level of deterrence and the other expected results despite the possibility of their effects. Second, the study needs improvements through longitudinal research because the cross-sectional research could not rule out the alternative explanations.
The high virulent severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) virus that emerged in China at the end of 2019 has generated novel coronavirus disease, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), causing a pandemic worldwide. Every country has made great efforts to struggle against SARS-CoV-2 infection, including massive vaccination, immunological patients' surveillance, and the utilization of convalescence plasma for COVID-19 therapy. These efforts are associated with the attempts to increase the titers of SARS-CoV-2 neutralizing Abs (nAbs) generated either after infection or vaccination that represent the body's immune status. As there is no standard therapy for COVID-19 yet, virus eradication will mainly depend on these nAbs contents in the body. Therefore, serological nAbs neutralization assays become a requirement for researchers and clinicians to measure nAbs titers. Different platforms have been developed to evaluate nAbs titers utilizing various epitopes sources, including neutralization assays based on the live virus, pseudovirus, and neutralization assays utilizing recombinant SARS-CoV-2 S glycoprotein receptor binding site, receptor-binding domain. As a standard neutralization assay, the plaque reduction neutralization test (PRNT) requires isolation and propagation of live pathogenic SARS-CoV-2 virus conducted in a BSL-3 containment. Hence, other surrogate neutralization assays relevant to the PRNT play important alternatives that offer better safety besides facilitating high throughput analyses. This review discusses the current neutralization assay platforms used to evaluate nAbs, their techniques, advantages, and limitations.

As the recently soaring wireless traffic, small-cell techniques have been actively studied in order to support such a wireless demand for cellular wireless networks. This paper focuses on the inter-cell interference neutralization to resolve the main barrier for implementing small-cell cellular networks. Assuming that each message is delivered to the final destination by the help of base stations or relays, ergodic interference neutralization is proposed, which exploits the time-varying nature of wireless channels. The previous approach based on amplify-and-forward (AF) suffers from severe performance degradation in the low signal-to-noise (SNR) regime due to noise amplification. On the other hand, the proposed interference neutralization based on recently developed compute-and-forward (CF) fixes such a problem and improves the performance in the low SNR regime.

In this paper, technical and patent analysses of anti-drone technology, which aim to neutralize drone attacks are conducted. We conducted research on the technical definition of anti-drone, the technical elements of anti-drone systems, and investigated the patents related to anti-drone and drone filed domestically and internationally over the past 10 years, starting from 2011. For domestic patents, we examined the number of patent applications related to anti-drone and the overall domestic patent applications over the past 10 years. Regarding international filings, we investigated the patent applications related to anti-drone filed in the United States, Europe, Japan, China, and under the PCT system in the past 10 years. We conducted a search for patents related to anti-drone, including neutralization techniques identified under the keyword "anti-drone," patents related to drone detection and identification techniques, and patents related to drone neutralization techniques. Through the conducted research, a total of 91 patents were filed for drone detection techniques. Out of these, 5 patents, accounting for 5.5%, were filed by public institutions. In the case of patents filed for drone identification techniques, there were a total of 174 patents. Among these, 4 patents, which is 2.3%, were filed by public institutions.
The clinical experience with the activated clotting time[A.C.T.] for the control of heparin and protamine therapy during cardiopulmonary bypass in 40 patients between April, 1987 and September, 1987 is reviewed retrospectively. All of patients used with cold blood potassium cardioplegia for myocardial protection under standard cardiopulmonary bypass, priming and perfusate techniques respectively. This study was divided into 2 groups of patients followed by cardiopulmonary bypass time. Twenty patients, within 60 minutes of cardiopulmonary bypass time[group A] were compared with twenty patients, from 60 to 120 minutes of cardiopulmonary bypass time[group B]. Using blood cardioplegia for myocardial protection, Author observed wide variation of A.C.T. in individual response to initial heparinization[2mg /kg] and no requirement of additional heparin during cardiopulmonary bypass until 120 minutes. Total heparin amount during cardiopulmonary bypass was not related to body weight and body surface area in the both groups. After cardiopulmonary bypass, amounts of protamine for neutralization of heparin were more required in group B.

By applying the newly developed techniques of polymer impregnated concrete (PIC) severely deteriorated and low quality concrete can be restored to an adequate structural material. Early deterioration of concrete causes severe problems for bridge deck concrete, pavement concrete for highways and airports, hydraulic structures and buiilding structures. Deterioration has its orgin in cracks on concrete surface, scaling of spalling due to freezing and thawing, neutralization of concrete, penetrations of water, salt, and calcium chloride. The objective of this study is to develope the new surface impregnants and strengthening techniques for them. It is found that the new impregnants and strengthening techniques developed in this study can retian the charecteristics of the existing concrete and decrease deterioration, and also increase durability, chemical resistance, strength, stiffness and ductility of the existing concrete.
This paper examines the influence of neutralization techniques and voluntary actions on intention to comply information security policy. Data were collected through an online survey and hypothesis results were all hypotheses were supported. The results of this study improve understanding on the voluntary nature of employee behavior for participating in the organization's policies and the rationalization of the employees trying weakening the organization's policy intentions. The organization shoud implement specific education and training in order to suppress the rationalization of employees and develop a plan to have a kinship with the employees of the organization.

The COVID-19 pandemic, triggered by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), has not only impacted human health on a global scale but also raised concerns about the vulnerability of a wide array of animals that are in close contact with humans. Particularly, the potential for infection and the subsequent immune response in domestic pets such as dogs and cats remain largely unexplored under natural living conditions. In this study, we have undertaken the task of detecting and tracking the presence of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 in a small cohort of household pets-specifically, two dogs and two cats. Employing techniques such as the indirect ELISA and plaque reduction neutralization tests, we observed that the neutralizing antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 in these animals were maintained for a duration of up to six months following their initial positive test result. This duration mirrors the antibody response documented in human cases of COVID-19, suggesting a comparable post-infection immune response timeline between humans and these domestic animals.
