유비쿼터스 서비스 모델 분류 (The Classification of Ubiquitous Service Model)

  • Ubiquitous computing which is providing various convenient services to user will prevail in future. To realize ubiquitous service, analyzing technical and information factors for service implementation is necessary. This paper defines ubiquitous service model to satisfy user demands and we analyze technical and information factors in order to realize services. Based on the factors, we extracts and classifies common compositions of ubiquitous services to suggest guidelines of service design.

  • In this paper, we first summarize key components of integrated services of telecommunication and broadcasting. Definitions and typology of th e integrated services are organized th rough comprehensive analysis of recent convergence trend of telecommunications and broadcasting. Various issues on regulations, society cultures, and technical aspects of the convergence are identified. Next, we deal with the digital media broadcasting service which is one of the technical culmination of the telecommunication and broadcasting merged services. The focus of the analysis has been made on policy implications and comparative details with other similar services in the same category. Finally, we suggest the perspectives on forthcoming digital media broadcasting service developments, and implications to cope with this emerging technological breakthrough.

Barriers to Low Vision Services and Challenges Faced by The Providers in Pakistan

There were two objectives of the study, first was to identify the barriers as perceived by the patients and providers to access the low vision services and second was to identify the challenges faced by the main providers. Study design. Structured questionnaire based interviews of patients and providers Methodology. To find out the barriers to access of low vision services, the interviews based on structured questionnaire were conducted for two patient groups. The first group consisted of 97 visually impaired individuals attending the department of low vision services at Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital Rawalpindi while the second group included 56 visually impaired individuals attending the four rehabilitation centers/schools for the blind in Rawalpindi/Islamabad. To identify the barriers as perceived by the main providers of low vision services and challenges faced by them the interviews based on structured questionnaire were conducted for 19 low vision service providers. Results. From patients point of view, major barrier to low vision services identified was inability to visit hospital /rehabilitation center alone - 29.8% in hospital group and 33.9% in rehabilitation centers group, while the lack of social support, lack of family support, cost of travelling, long distance, afford ability, hesitation in using devices and lack of satisfaction were other important barriers identified. From providers' point of view, major barrier to uptake of services was the need for repeated follow-ups. Optometrists were the main provider of low vision services contributing to 47.4% of the providers. The major challenge faced by the providers was motivation of patients to use low vision devices. Conclusion. The major barrier to low vision services according to the patients is inability to visit the hospital alone, while according to providers, it is the need for repeated follow up which proves major barrier towards uptake of services. The motivation is the major challenge faced by providers, majority of which are optometrists.

자료포괄분석과 생산성지수분석을 이용한 국내 SI기업의 효율성 분석 (Analyzing the Technical Efficiency of Korean System Integration Firms Using DEA and Malmquist Productivity Analysis)

  • This paper analyzes the technical efficiencies of 40 Korean system integration firms using data envelopment analysis (DEA) and Malmquist productivity indices. Technical efficiencies on average had been decreased over the five year period and the efficiency difference between best practice firms and catch-up firms had been increased during this period, meaning that the industry structure has become matured and the possibilities for catch-up firms to be efficient are not remained so much. The differences in efficiency by the differences in ownership structures are statistically significant. It implies that the efficiencies of group-affiliated firms have come from benefits such as the captive market umbrellas, not from their own management competencies. In addition, the technical efficiency is highly correlated with captive market sales, information productivity, sales per employees, rates of value added, returns on invested capital, and EBITDA.

Application of cherry laurel seeds activated carbon as a new adsorbent for Cr(VI) removal

  • A novel activated carbon produced from cherry laurel (Laurocerasus officinalisRoem.) seeds (CLSAC) by chemical activation with ZnCl2 was used as an adsorbent to remove Cr(VI) ions from aqueous solutions. CLSAC was characterized by several techniques and the adsorption experiments were performed in a batch model adsorption technique. The effects of various experimental parameters were investigated as a function of solution pH, contact time, initial Cr(VI) concentration, CLSAC concentration, and temperature. The monolayer adsorption capacity of CLSAC was found to be 41.67 mg g-1 for 5.0 g L-1 of CLSAC concentration and, it was concluded that CLSAC can be used as an effective adsorbent for removal of Cr(VI) from waters and wastewaters.

119구급대의 어려운 기관내삽관 교육 전·후 비교 (Comparison of Educational Effects of Difficult Endotracheal Intubation in the 119 Rescue Service)

  • 본 연구는 J도 소방안전본부 산하 119구급대 60명을 대상으로 하였으며, 연구 기간은 2009년 12월 1일 부터 2월 10일까지였다. 어려운 기관내삽관 교육 전.후 비교 및 일반적 특성에 따른 지식, 자신감, 학업적 자기효능감, 술기수행 능력을 SPSS 14.0을 이용하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 지식, 자신감, 학업적 자기효능감, 술기수행 능력 모두 교육 전보다 교육 후 유의미하게 증가하였다. 2. 일반적 특성에 따른 교육 전 후 지식은 성별과 병원근무경력에서 모두 유의한 차이를 보였고, 자신감은 계급과 병원경력에서 모두 유의한 차이를 보였다. 학업적 자기효능감은 계급과 병원경력 및 학력에서 모두 유의한 차이를 보였다. 술기수행 능력은 유형 1에서 119구급대 근무경력, 유형 2에서는 대원의 연령과 최종학력이 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 유형 3은 119구급대 근무경력과, 병원에서 근무경력이 교육 후 유의한 차이를 보였다. 유형 4는 연령과 계급에서 교육 전 후 유의한 차이를 보였다. 결론적으로, 119구급대의 기도유지술에 관심을 갖고, 정확한 기관내삽관을 배울 수 있도록 자신감을 함양시킬 수 있는 교육 프로그램이 절실히 필요하다고 사료된다.

위치 기반 서비스를 위한 동적 위치 인지 기법 (A Dynamic Location Recognition Technique for Location-based Service)

  • 최근 스마트폰의 위치 기반 서비스는 급속도로 성장하는 모바일 기술 중 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 모바일에서 위치 기반 서비스를 사용할 때 특정한 위치에 따라 위치 기반 서비스의 주기를 변경시키기 위한 기법을 제안한다. 이를 통해 위치 기반 서비스의 주기를 위치에 따라 커스터마이제이션 할 수 있으며, 결과적으로 일정한 주기로 위치 기반 서비스를 이용할 때보다 모바일 자원의 낭비를 줄일 수 있는 프로세스를 제안한다.

  • 인터넷의 활용이 급속도로 증가하고 있는 실정에 비추어 볼 때 인터넷은 머지 않아 세계 상거래무역의 새로운 장으로서 큰 역할을 담당하게 될 것이다. 이런 상황하에서 인터넷의 도입이 무역에 어떠한 영향을 미치며, 그에 대한 국제적인 논의는 어떤 방향으로 전개되고 있는지를 살펴보고, 이러한 국제적 논의와 관련하여 무역에서 야기될 수 있는 문제점을 도출하고 그에 대한 우리의 대응방안을 제시하고자 하는 것이다.

A Multi-Layered Approach for the Valuation of Location Based Services

  • In developing the ubiquitous computing technology based services (ubiquitous services), evaluating how much value of those services is created or added is very crucial. The efforts to evaluate the ubiquitous services have been progressed in two perspectives - technical perspective and behavioral perspective. Despite its importance, however, the methodologies which integrate both perspectives have been still very rare. Hence, this paper aims perspectives have been still very rare. Hence, this paper aims to propose an integrated ubiquitous service valuation methodology based on the multi-layered approach including technical and behavioral perspectives. To do so, we conducted a case study with currently existing location based service (LBS) such as navigation systems by conducting focus group interview (FGI) and field survey.

  • 최근 이메일 서비스의 보완 수단으로서 RSS(Really Simple Syndication)를 이용한 정보 서비스가 활성화되고 있다. 과학기술 분야의 정보는 매우 방대하고 다양하며, 정보의 발생주기 및 서비스 또한 복잡한 특성을 가지고 있다. 단일 정보를 제공하는 기관인 경우 RSS를 이용한 정보 서비스는 정보를 제공하는 하나의 채널을 확보하는 의미에서 구현 시 고려해야 할 요소가 많지 않지만, 다양하고 방대하며 전문적인 과학기술정보의 특성을 반영한 RSS 서비스는 보다 정교한 설계와 구현을 필요로 한다. 본 연구에서는 RSS와 다른 정보배급 프로토콜을 비교하고, 국내외 RSS 동향조사를 수행하였으며, 과학기술정보의 특성을 고려한 RSS 기반 과학기술정보배급 시스템(STI-RSS)의 구현을 고찰하고 이의 활용방안을 제시하고자 한다.
