병원급식 조리종사원의 직무 특성과 직무 만족도 분석 (Job Satisfaction and its Relationship to Job Characteristcis of Hospital Foodservice Employees)

  • The purposes of this study were to: 1) measure the levels of job satisfaction with five facets of a job: the work itself, promotion, pay, supervision and co-workers, 2) investigate the degree of job characteristics inventory which employees perceived, 3) investigate relationships between job characteristics and job satisfaction levels of the employees in hospital foodservice, 4) measure the levels of organizational commitment and investigate its relationships between job satisfaction and job characteristics, 5) investigate the relationships between job performance and job satisfaction, job characteristics of the employees in hospital foodservice. The questionnaire was developed based on modifying Job Descriptive Index developed by Smith, Kendall, Hulin and Job Characteristics Inventory developed by Sims, Szilagyi, Keller and Affective commitment Scale developed by Meyer and Allen. Subjects consisted of 76 employees in hospital foodservice. Data were analyzed for frequency, means, ANOVA, Duncan multiple range test, and pearson correlation using SAS PC Package. The results of this study were as follows. 1) Most of the respondents were 41 years up(39.5%) and married (92%). High school graduates were 59.2%. 10 years working experienced employees were 35%. 2) A majority of the respondents(44.7%) ranked work itself as the most important aspect. 3) They were the most satisfied with co-workers. 4) Satisfaction with work itself, wage, and supervision were found significantly related to age(p<0.05). 5) Task identify was the most prevalent job characteristics and then task identity. 6) Satisfaction with co-workers were found significantly related to job variety(p<0.05). Satisfaction with supervision and promotion were found significantly related to friendship(p<0.05). 7) Job satisfaction have not correlation with job performance. Satisfaction with supervision, co-workers were positively correlated with organizational commitment(p<0.01). 8) Job characteristics of dealing with others were positively correlated with job performance (p<0.05). Job characteristics of variety, autonomy, task identity were positively correlated with organizational commitment(p<0.05, p<0.01).

CRM 몰입과 조직문화가 CRM 성과에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of CRM Commitment and Organizational Culture on CRM Performance)

  • 1990년대 중반 이후 기업의 마케팅활동에 있어 경쟁우위를 지속하기 위한 핵심요소로 고객관계관리(CRM)의 중요성이 크게 부각되었다. 최근 들어 CRM 성과에 대한 회의론이 퍼지면서 학계에서는 어떤 경우 CRM이 소기의 성과를 성취할 수 있는가에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 연구추세에 따라 CRM 성과가 CRM 몰입과 조직문화로 대변되는 몇 가지 조직특성에 의해 영향을 받을 수 있음을 가설로 제시하고 검증하고 있다. 본 연구는 CRM 성과를 고객성과와 업무성과로 구분하고 이들 성과에 최고경영자의 몰입, 전략적 준비성, CRM 투자, 변화에 대한 저항, 부서간 협력, 고객지향성의 여섯 가지 조직특성변수가 미치는 영향을 분석하고 있다. 123명의 국내 CRM 담당자를 대상으로 한 서베이분석 결과, 상당수의 조직특성변수가 CRM 성과 변수인 업무성과와 고객성과에 직접 혹은 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. CRM 투자가 많을수록 CRM 성과의 두 차원, 즉 업무성과와 고객성과가 향상되는 것으로 나타났으며 CRM 투자가 많아지기 위해서는 최고경영자의 CRM에 대한 몰입과 기업의 전략적 준비성이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 기업의 고객지향성이 높을수록 업무성과가 향상되는 것으로 나타났으며 고객지향성은 CRM 투자와 부서간 협력이 증가할수록 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 업무성과의 향상에 의해 고객성과가 높아지고 있음도 확인하고 있다. '변화에 대한 저항'의 경우에는 여타 선행변수나 CRM 성과에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 이상의 분석결과를 토대로 국내 기업의 CRM 성과를 향상시키기 위한 전략적 시사점을 연구의 한계와 함께 제시하고 있다.

The Effects of Job Crafting on Career Success of Multinational Corporations' Employees

  • As the recent tendency of career management has changed, companies have supported progressive career management and development of their employees internally. And strengthening job crafting is an effective activity not only to improve the work efficiency of the organizations but also to improve the job satisfaction and wellbeing of their employees. In these backgrounds, this paper aims to explore the components of job crafting for the multinational employees in order to emphasize the importance of job crafting and empirically analyze the influential relationship in terms of career success through career commitment and career attitude. Based on literature review the job crafting was defined with three components; task crafting, relation crafting, and cognitive crafting. A total of 336 survey data were analyzed for a total of 27 multinational corporations. As the analysis result the task crafting and cognitive crafting of multinational employees were shown to have an influence on career attitude, but relation crafting did not have any impact on career. It can be interpreted that the employees have self-directed career attitude through a method of showing visible performance based on their given jobs rather than having individual career management attitude through relationships between departments, organizational members, and supervisors.

의약분업 이후 종합병원 의사들의 이직의도 결정요인 (Determinants of Intent to Leave among Physicians Working at General Hospitals After the Separation Program of Prescribing and Dispensing)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the determinants of intent to leave among hospital physicians. A causal model of intent to leave among hospital physicians was constructed based on the exchange theory. The sample of this study consisted of 185 physicians from 8 general hospitals located in Seoul, Taegu, Kyunggi-province, and Kyungsangnam-province in Korea. Data were collected with self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using LISREL. The results of this study indicate that the following variables, listed in order of size, have significant negative effects on intent to leave among hospital physicians; job satisfaction, organizational commitment, task variety, promotional chances, task significance, and pay. Sex (female=0, male=1) was found to have significant positive effects on the intent to leave among hospital physicians. The results imply that hospital administrators should make an effort to improve job satisfaction and organizational commitment which are the key determinants of intent to leave among hospital physicians.

팀제 하에서의 정치적 성과평가 (The Performance Appraisal Politics in Team-Based Work Systems)

  • 본 연구는 조직정치의 개념을 성과평가 행위의 상황적 맥락 요소로 반영한 정치적 성과평가 인식과 구성원 태도 및 팀 과업 특성과의 관계 파악을 목적으로 수행하였다. 195명의 기업 근로자를 대상으로 한 실증연구 결과 개인 편향 및 징벌적 의도에서 이루어진 정치적 성과평가 인식은 조직몰입에 부정적인 영향을, 동기부여적 의도에서의 정치적 성과평가는 조직몰입에 긍정적 영향을 미친다는 사실을 밝혔다. 또한 팀과업 특성으로서의 과업상호의존성은 정치적 성과평가 인식을 증가시킨다는 결과를 도출하였다. 추가적으로 연구결과가 시사하는 바와 향후 연구과제에 대해서도 논의하였다.

Custom Officers' Readiness for Sales and Service Tax Implementation in Malaysia: An Organisational Readiness for Change Perspective

  • This study examines the factors influencing custom officers' readiness for the Sales and Service Tax (SST) implementation in Malaysia. Specifically, this study examines the factors stipulated in the Theory of Organisational Readiness namely, change valence, task knowledge, and resource availability on the customs officers' readiness in terms of change commitment and change efficacy for SST 2.0 implementation. This study utilizes the questionnaire survey distributed to employees of the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) that have undergone a significant change of tax regime from Goods and Service Tax (GST) to SST 2.0. The results show that all three factors significantly and positively influence the customs officers' readiness in terms of change commitment and change efficacy for SST 2.0 implementation in Malaysia. The findings in this study indicate that to ensure smooth SST 2.0 implementation, it is important for the customs department to give attention to the perception of the officers and provide the necessary resources. The findings of this study could assist RMCD and other custom agencies to take into account factors that influence readiness for change which indirectly affect job responsibility and performance of the organization.

  • A recurrent theme within the literature on the 6 Sigma program is the study of its effect on organizational performance. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the effect of 6 Sigma on culinary quality performance, work commitment, and customer loyalty in the culinary division of hotels and family restaurants. The samples of this study included the employees of the culinary division of hotels and family restaurants that implemented or were about to implement the 6 Sigma program. A total of 248 questionnaires were analyzed with statistical methods of factor analysis, reliability test, and regression analysis. The findings of this study showed that the 6 Sigma program affected the culinary quality performance and work commitment of culinary division employees. Also, the 6 Sigma program, culinary quality performance and work commitment affected customer loyalty. Furthermore, work commitment affected culinary quality performance. Based on these research findings, it is required that the culinary division of hotels and family restaurants should incorporate the 6 Sigma program. For this purpose, good quality data should be collected with sufficient preparation procedures, and task force team should be made. Moreover, experts in this field should be cultivated, with the training of employees in mind. It is also crucial that the current quality of product and services be measured and that all the employees of the culinary division participate in the implementation of the 6 Sigma program. The intervention and heavy participation of the top management and head of the culinary division is expected for the successful implementation of 6 Sigma program.

세무공무원의 셀프리더십이 임파워먼트와 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Tax Officials' Self-leadership on their Empowerment and Organization Commitment)

  • 본 연구는 세무공무원들의 셀프리더십이 임파워먼트와 조직몰입에 미치는 영향관계를 규명함으로써 인적자원관리의 유효성을 증진시키고 효율적인 조직관리를 위한 시사점을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있었다. 분석결과, 세무공무원들의 셀프리더십(행동지향 전략, 자연보상전략, 건설적사고전략)이 증가될수록 임파워먼트에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고, 임파워먼트가 높을수록 조직몰입도가 높아져 조직성과를 높일 수 있고 업무수행의 효율성을 높일 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이는 구성원들이 과세실적향상을 위해 자신의 과세업무활동에 대해 스스로 활동목표를 설정하고 목표를 달성하기 위해 행동하고 남들보다 열심히 하겠다는 낙천적이고 건설적인 사고를 가지고 업무에 임하는 결과로서, 조직성과를 극대화시키기 위해서는 세무공무원자신이 업무의 가치와 의미 및 중요성을 스스로 찾아 인식하고 업무수행에 필요한 지식과 능력을 충분히 갖추어 조직의 목표달성과 업무영역에서 영향력과 통제를 발휘하고 스스로 결정하는 자기결정력을 키워야 조직몰입의 수준을 높일 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of job characteristics, job performance and organizational commitment on job satisfaction of hospital dietitians. The first survey was carried out on 74 hospital dietitians to determine their demographic characteristics, job characteristics, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. The second survey was carried out on 47 hospital foodservice dietitians to determine their job performance. Thirty-two percent of the subjects were aged between 26 and 30, and 62.2% had Bachelor's degrees. The dietitians felt most satisfied by their co-workers, followed by the work-itself, supervision, pay, and promotion possibilities. Dietitians who had a higher education were satisfied with pay and supervision. The longer the length of employment, the more the satisfaction with the work-itself and pay, plus the higher the monthly wage the more the satisfaction with the work-itself, pay, supervision, and co-workers. lob satisfaction was high in the group that scored high on autonomy, feedback, task identity, and friendship of in the job characteristic inventory. The job performances of nutrition counseling(r= 0.469, p < 0.01), nutrition education(r= 0.446, p < 0.01) and management of therapeutic diet(r= 0.394, p < 0.01) were positively correlated with job satisfaction. The $R^2$for the multiple regression model was 0.677, indicating that 67.7% of the variance in job satisfaction could be accounted for by feedback, organizational commitment, nutrition counseling performance, and nutrition education performance. In conclusion, the level of job satisfaction for hospital dietitians would appear to improve with increased feedback, organizational commitment, and opportunity for nutrition counseling and nutrition education.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of 6 Sigma on menu management, work commitment and quality in the culinary division of hotels and family restaurants. In addition, this study sought to identify the effects of menu management, work commitment and quality performance on customer satisfaction. Furthermore the relationship between menu management and culinary quality was evaluated here. The subjects evaluated in this study were employees of culinary division of hotels and family restaurants that implemented or were about to adopt the 6 Sigma program. A total of 385 questionnaires were analyzed using factor analysis, a reliability test, and covariance structural analysis. The results revealed that the 6 Sigma program influenced menu management, work commitment and culinary quality. Moreover, menu management, work commitment and culinary quality performance were found to impact customer satisfaction and culinary quality performance. Based on these findings, culinary divisions of hotels and family restaurants should incorporate the 6 Sigma program as soon as possible. To implement this program, faultless data for the 6 Sigma program should be collected using sufficient preparation procedures. After the data were collected, a task force team should be developed, experts should be cultivated and employees should be trained as necessary. Finally, the current level of product and services should be measured and reported to all employees in the culinary division and a challenge spirit should be brought with understanding for the reason for implementation of the 6 Sigma program. In implementing the 6 Sigma program, the leadership of the top manager and the head of the culinary division is very important.
