In this study, the ultra high strength concrete which have 80, 130, 180MPa took the heat from 20℃ to 700℃ and the 0, 20% stress in normal condition's to evaluate stress-strain, residual compressive strength and thermal expansion deformation were evaluated. The heating speed of specimen was 0.77℃/min 20~50℃, 50℃ before the target temperature, and the other interval's heating speed was 1℃/min. As a result, the stress-strain curve of non-load specimen showed the liner behavior at high temperature when the specimen's strength increased more. If ultra high strength concrete got loads, its compressive strength tended to decrease different from the normal strength concrete. The thermal expansion deformation was expanded from a vitrification of quartz over 500℃. however, over the 600℃, it was shrinked because of the dehydration of the combined water.

Recent studies have shown that some of the PCB (polychlorinated biphenyl)-degraders are able to effectively degrade PCB in the presence of monoterpenes, which act as inducers for the degradation pathway. Rhodococcus sp. T104, an effective PCB degrader, has been shown to induce the degradation pathway by utilizing limonenes, cymenes, carvones, and pinenes as sole carbon sources which can be found in the natural environment. Moreover, the strain T104 proved to possess three separate oxidation pathways of limonene, biphenyl, and phenol. Of these three, the limonene can also induce the biphenyl degradation pathway. In this work, we report the presence of three distinct genes for aromatic oxygenase, which are putatively involved in the degradation of aromatic substrates including biphenyl, limonene, and phenol, through PCR amplification and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE). The genes were differentially expressed and well induced by limonene, cymene, and plant extract A compared to biphenyl and/or glucose. This indicates that substrate specificity must be taken into account when biodegradation of the target compounds are facilitated by the plant natural substrates.

Structural Dynamics Modification (SDM) is a very effective technique to improve structure's dynamic characteristics by adding or removing auxiliary structures, changing material properties and shape of structure. Among those of SDM technique, the method to change shape of structure has been mostly relied on engineer's experience and trial-and-error process which are very time consuming. In order to develop a systematic method to change structure shape, surface grooving technique is studied and successfully applied to HDD cover model. At first, to check the effect of mesh size, surface grooving technique was tested to the fine HDD cover FEmodel. And fur the more efficient method, the algorithm is modified. Removing the low-valued modal strain energy element among the target domain, computational effort can be greatly reduced and the result of simulation is similar with the other simulation result.
Microbially induced carbonate precipitation (MICP) is an innovative soil improvement approach utilizing metabolic activity of microbes to hydrolyze urea. In this paper, the shear response and the erodibility of MICP-treated sand under axial compression and submerged impinging jet were evaluated at a low confining stress range. Loose, poorly graded silica sand was used in testing. Specimens were cemented at low confining stresses until target shear wave velocities were achieved. Results indicated that the erodibility parameters of cemented specimens showed an increase in the critical shear stress by up to three orders of magnitude, while the erodibility coefficient decreased by up to four orders of magnitude. Such a trend was observed to be dependent on the level of cementation. The treated sand showed dilative behavior while the untreated sands showed contractive behavior. The shear modulus as a function of strain level, based on monitored shear wave velocity, indicated mineral debonding may commence at 0.05% axial strain. The peak strength was enhanced in terms of emerging cohesion parameter based on utilizing the Mohr-Coulomb failure criteria.
This paper presents illustrative examples of the application of advanced digital image correlation (DIC) technology in the geotechnical laboratory tests, such as shallow footing test, trapdoor test, retaining wall test, and wide width tensile test on geogrid. The theoretical background of the DIC technique is first introduced together with fundamental equations. Relevant reduced-scale model tests were then performed using standard sand while applying the DIC technique to capture the movement of target materials during tests. A number of different approaches were tried to obtain optimized images that allow efficient tracking of material speckles based on the DIC technique. In order to increase the trackability of soil particles, a mix of dyed and regular sand was used during the model tests while specially devised painted speckles were applied to the geogrid. A series of images taken during tests were automatically processed and analyzed using software named VIC-2D that automatically generates displacements and strains. The soil deformation field and associated failure patterns obtained from the DIC technique for each test were found to compare fairly well with the theoretical ones. Also shown is that the DIC technique can also general strains appropriate to the wide width tensile test on geogrid, It is demonstrated in this study that the advanced DIC technique can be effectively used in monitoring the deformation and strain field during a reduced-scale geotechnical model laboratory test.

Teachers are facing various job demands with psychosocial aspects being fundamental due to the nature of the occupation. Although teachers' work is associated with different psychosocial health risks, little is known on how to identify and tackle those. Thus, a systematic literature search as per the PRISMA statement was conducted via MEDLINE (PubMed), PSYNDEX (PubPsych), and ScienceDirect. Two reviewers independently screened 2261 titles and abstracts and 169 full-texts. According to the inclusion criteria established a priori, articles from peer-reviewed journals (English or German) on psychosocial risk management in teachers were incorporated. Despite a comprehensive and sensitive search, only four publications could be identified, outlining a process to implement risk management and different assessment tools. Taken together, data presented in the articles were scarce. Recommendations for process steps and the assessment of psychosocial risks can be derived from the findings. To implement effective psychosocial risk management in the teaching profession, further research is needed, though. Effective and practicable approaches, which are accepted by the target group, should be further developed and investigated. Relevant causes of occupational strain in the teaching profession must be identified and assessed reliably. Low-threshold interventions should be implemented, and the outcome must be evaluated afterward.
Accurately estimation of the geo-mechanical parameters in Artificial Ground Freezing (AGF) is a most important scientific topic in soil improvement and geotechnical engineering. In order for this, one way is using classical and conventional constitutive models based on different theories like critical state theory, Hooke's law, and so on, which are time-consuming, costly, and troublous. The others are the application of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to predict considered parameters and behaviors accurately. This study presents a comprehensive data-mining-based model for predicting the Young's Modulus of frozen sand under the triaxial test. For this aim, several single and hybrid models were considered including additive regression, bagging, M5-Rules, M5P, random forests (RF), support vector regression (SVR), locally weighted linear (LWL), gaussian process regression (GPR), and multi-layered perceptron neural network (MLP). In the present study, cell pressure, strain rate, temperature, time, and strain were considered as the input variables, where the Young's Modulus was recognized as target. The results showed that all selected single and hybrid predicting models have acceptable agreement with measured experimental results. Especially, hybrid Additive Regression-Gaussian Process Regression and Bagging-Gaussian Process Regression have the best accuracy based on Model performance assessment criteria.
This paper discusses the deformation characteristics of a scaled-down automotive outer door panel with vacuum-assisted incremental sheet forming. The vacuum condition between the die and Al6052-H32 sheet with a thickness of 1.0 mm is reviewed with the goal of improving the geometrical accuracy of the target product. The material flow according to the forming tool path, including the multi-tool path and conventional contour tool path, is investigated considering the degradation of the pillow effect. To reduce friction between the tool and the sheet during incremental forming, automotive engine oil (5W-30) is used as a lubricant, and the strain field on the surface of the formed product is analyzed using ARGUS. By comparing the geometry and material flow characteristics of products under different test conditions, it is confirmed that the product surface quality can be significantly improved when the vacuum condition is employed in conjunction with a multi-tool path strategy.
Suspension system of vehicle have enough endurance during its life time to protect passenger. Spring is one of major part of vehicle. Thus, a fatigue strength evaluation for leaf spring based on road load response was carried out. At first, strain of leaf spring is measured on the city condition and proving ground condition. And next, the damage analysis of road load response data was carried out. And fatigue test of leaf spring were also carried out. Based on -N life relation, fatigue life of leaf spring was evaluated at belgian mode, city mode and drawing test specification. After that, it is compared the design life of leaf spring and evaluated fatigue life by belgian mode, city mode and drawing test specification. From the above, the maximum load-fatigue life relation of leaf spring was defined by test. and new test target of belgian mode and city mode was proposed to accept design specification of leaf spring. It is expect that proposed test target can verify leaf spring fatigue endurance at specific road condition.
A new constitutive episomal expression vector, pGAPZ-E, was constructed and used for initial screening of eukaryotic target gene expression in Pichia pastoris. Two reporter genes such as beta-galactosidase gene and GFPuv gene were overexpressed in P. pastoris. The expression level of the episomal pGAPZ-E strain was higher than that of the integrated form when the beta-galactosidase gene was used as the reporter gene in P. pastoris X33. The avoiding of both the integration procedure and an induction step simplified the overall screening process for eukaryotic target gene expression in P. pastoris. Nine human protein targets from the Core 50, family of Northeast Structural Genomics Consortium (http://www.nesg.org), which were intractable when expressed in E. coli, were subjected to rapid screening for soluble expression in P. pastoris. HR547, HR919, and HR1697 human proteins, which had previously been found to express poorly or to be insoluble in E. coli, expressed in soluble form in P. pastoris. Therefore, the new episomal GAP promoter vector provides a convenient and alternative system for high-throughput screening of eukaryotic protein expression in P. pastoris.
