다성능(多性能) 특성치(特性値)에 관한 안정성설계(安定性設計) (Robust Parameter Design for Multiple Performance Characteristics)

  • Taguchi's robust design methodology has focused only on a single performance characteristic or response, but the quality of most products is seldom defined by a characteristic, and is rather the composite of a family of characteristics which are often interrelated and nearly always measured in a variety of units. The multiple performance characteristics problem is how to compromise the conflicts among the selected levels of the design parameters for each individual performance characteristic. In this paper, the modified desirability function using SN ratio which can be optimized by univariate technique is proposed and a parameter design procedure to achieve the best balance among several different response variables is developed We reanalyze two existing case studies by the proposed method and compare these results with ones by the sum of SN ratios and the expected weighted loss.

원통형 플라스틱 성형품의 싱크 마크를 최소화하기 위한 사출성형 조건의 최적화 (Optimization of Injection Molding to Minimize Sink Marks for Cylindrical Geometry)

  • This paper describes the optimization of injection molding conditions to minimize sink marks. Sink marks, which refer to a small depression on the surface opposite a thick wall thickness, are often encounted in injection molded plastic parts. Part geometry, material properties and processing conditions during injection molding can affect the sink mark depth. We designed the runner system which is possible balanced filling to cavities using CAE program $Moldflow^{TM}$ and then obtained optimal processing conditions by Taguchi's Robust Design technique. By actual injection molding using optimized mold and molding conditions, it confirmed that sink mark depth decreased zero compared to 1mm level in the conventional mold and process.

  • 콘크리트 타설현장의 조건은 콘크리트 강도에 커다란 영향을 주며, 따라서 콘크리트 배합은 콘크리트 타설시 현장조건을 반영할 수 있도록 설계되어야 한다. 즉, 콘크리트 배합은 현장양생온도, 작업환경, 타설방법 등을 고려하여 최적화하는 노력이 필요하다. 본 연구목적은 현장 콘크리트 타설시 발생하는 양생온도와 작업지연 등 외부영향인자를 고려하여 가장 대응을 잘 할 수 있는 콘크리트 배합설계를 제공하는 것이다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해서 본 연구에서는 로버스트 설계방법을 콘크리트 배합설계에 적용했다. 사례분석에서는 양생온도와 작업지연 등 외부영향요인과 함께 콘크리트 성분의 조합을 적용하여 콘크리트 실내 테스트를 실시했다. 실험결과 로버스트 설계방법을 적용할 경우 외부영향요인이 주어 졌을 때 가장 효과적으로 대응을 할 수 있는 콘크리트 배합설계를 선정할 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

In this paper, Methodology using SN ratio optimized by univariate technique is proposed and a parameter design procedure to achive the optimal compromise among several different response variables is developed. One new case studies are solved by the proposed method and the results are compared with ones by the sum of SN ratios, the expected weighted loss, the desirability function, and EXTOPSIS model.

다구치 방법을 활용한 해머밀 분쇄공정의 최적화 연구 (Taguchi's Robust Design Method for Optimization of Grinding Condition by Hammer Mill)

  • 저등급 석탄인 갈탄(lignite)을 순환 유동층 가스화기(circulating fluidized bed gasifier)의 효과적인 가스화를 위한 공급탄으로 제조하기 위하여 모든 조건들은 동일하고 스크린의 크기만을 변경하여 목적하는 입도분포 특성을 달성하는 최적조건을 찾기 위한 실험을 수행하였다. 가스화기 공급탄은 0.045~1 mm 크기로 85 wt% 이상이 요구되며 이러한 입도분포를 갖는 공급탄을 제조하기 위해서는 경제적이면서도 효과적인 공정 설계가 반드시 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구는 중국산 갈탄을 해머밀로 효과적으로 분쇄하기 위하여 다구치 설계를 사용하였으며, 설계조건에 따른 실험결과 및 통계분석 결과 95% 유의수준에서 1차 스크린의 크기는 3 mm, 2차 스크린의 크기는 1.3 mm인 경우가 최적화된 조건인 것으로 나타났다.

  • In this research, I would like to choose sliding distance and ventilated hole number which affect to the amount of wear of disk and pad as experiment conditions of 'the amount of wear' through wear test of motorcycle brake disk. Also, I analyze the amount of wear according to the variation of coefficient of friction by using design of experiment that is being widely used in diverse areas. With the tests of least, I present the correlation of each experiment condition. Therefore, I analyzed the variation of the amount of wear of disk and pad according to test factors such as ventilated hole number, applied load, sliding speed, and sliding distance in wear test of motorcycle brake disk by applying the design of experiment. Also, I analyzed quantitatively the influence of test factors through Taguchi Robust experimental design, response surface and examined the most suitable level and estimation of the amount of wear of disk. From these, I reached the following conclusions. response surface design, mathematical model was constructed about amount of wear of disk and pad. The amount of wear that decrease according to increase of ventilated hole number, and it's increase according to Increase of applied load, sliding speed, and sliding distance.
