1. Objectives The main ingredient of ephedra is ephedrine which affects on autonomic nervous system induce some adverse effects just like vasoconstriction, hypertension, tachycardia, miosis, insomnia, dizziness, headache, and etc. and heart disease. If we use Mahuang according to the Sasang constitution classification in clinic, we could not only may minimize the anxiety but maximize the potential curative value in Asthma Treatment. 2. Methods On a day three times in Mahangjungchentang taken patients who with Ventricular septal defect in the aftermath of the RBBB. We are observed that the main symptoms of change, vital sign, sleep, stool, urine, heart disease. 3. Results Teaumin with asthma, the effect of Mahuang, and the side effects are fewer. The individual effects of herbs are important. but Sasang constitutional effects are important too. 4 Conclusions Mahuang can increase heart disease. But there was a difference among Sasang constitution classification. This has no side effects from Teaumin than other constitutions. If we use Mahuang according to the Sasang constitution classification in clinic. We have an excellent effect on the treatment of asthma.

1. Objectives This study is purposed to classify deficiency syndrome(虛證) and Excess syndrome(實證) of chief lung-disorder diseases. 2. Methods It was researched on the comparative and literal study about the relation to Yeong-Chu Gyeong-maek Chapter (${\ulcorner}$靈樞 經脈編${\Ircorner}$) and Dongui-Bogam (${\ulcorner}$東醫寶鑑${\Ircorner}$) and Dongui-Susebowon (${\ulcorner}$東醫壽世保元${\Ircorner}$) in chief lung-disorder symptoms or diseases. 3. Results and Conclusions (1) The chief lung-disorder diseases of Yeong-Chu Gyeong-maek Chapter (${\ulcorner}$靈樞 經脈編${\Ircorner}$), Dongui-Bogam (${\ulcorner}$東醫寶鑑${\Ircorner}$) and Dongui-Susebowon (${\ulcorner}$東醫壽世保元${\Ircorner}$) are asthma(喘), coughing(咳), fullness in the chest(胸滿), sweating symptoms(汗出), cold-heat symptoms(寒熱), dysphoria(煩躁) and sneezing. (2) Asthma symptom(喘) was shown to Soeumin's 4 exterior deficiency diseases, Taeumin's 1 exterior deficiency disease and 1 interior excess disease, and Soyangin's 1 interior excess disease. (3) Coughing symptom(咳) was shown to Soeumin's 1 extrerior deficiency disease and Taeumin's 1 interior excess disease. (4) Fullness in the chest(胸滿) was shown co Soyangin's 4 exterior excess diseases. (5) Sweating symptoms(汗出) was shown to Soeumin's 10 exterior deficiency diseases, Taeumins's 1 exterior deficiency disease, and Soyangin's 1 exterior defecieny disease. (6) Cold-heat symptoms(寒熱) was shown to Soyangin's 4 exterior excess diseases. (7) Dysphoria(煩躁) was shown co Soeumin's 1 exterior deficiency disease and 8 interior deficiency diseases, Taeumin's 1 interior excess disease, and Soyangin's 4 exterior excess and interior excess diseases. (8) Sneezing symptom was shown to Taeumin's 1 exterior excess disease.

An Athma is a hypersensitive reaction of bronchus on various stimulus. It has a cough and laboring breath caused by narrowing of inflammatory bronchus. In this study, the three asthma patients classified by Sasang constitutional medicine had a notable medical effects. So we report the healing process and results of these three patients in this study.

Sasang Constitutional Medicine, which argues that physiology, pathology, diagnosis, medical cure depend on individual's constitution, is different from a previous traditional oriental medicine. Recently the idea of fitted medicine, made by concepts based on genome project, is similar to constitution of Sasang Constitutional Medine in that both of them take the individual difference Into consideration. Sasang Constitutional Medicine is able to contribute to explanation of function of genes, because the same food acts differently on individual's constitution in Sasang Constitutional Medicine In 'Dongmu Yugo Yaksungga(동무유고 약성가)' it is said that A lotus, adlay, ginko nut, chest nut open stomach-Qi of Taeumin, help to digest, and give a better appetite. But this is different from the explanations of a previous traditional oriental medicine. All of them help to digest of Taeumin, but a adlay, ginko nut, chest nut distinguishing clearness-unclearness(淸濁) and spouting unclearness(濁)-Qi, has commonness of promoting digestion. But in the early days, a ginko nut is thought to be helpful to digest, the latter days, it is used for Mahwangjungchuntang which cures breast-stomachache(胸腹痛)and asthma(喘氣 哮喘病); It shows the change of recognition.

I have come to conclusion as follows about Bangpungtongsungsan after literatural study. 1. Bangpungtongsungsan is the medical treatment of heat, wind and dryness. 2. Bangpungtongsungsan is used in head-wind, dizziness, both eye disease, tinnitus, both ear deafness, nasal polyp, uriticaria, sajuabi, beard and hair falling, apoplexy, paralysis of hands and feet, dull mentality, tetanus, epidemic disease characterized by swelling and redness of face, carbuncle, daepungchang, pustule, syphilis, tinea capitis and so on. 3. Bangpungtongsungsan is used in the disease of cerebral hemorrhage, hypertension, arteriosclerosis, constipation, rosacea, hemorrhoids, cutaneous disease, empyema, eye disease, diabetes, asthma, obesity, beriberi, erysipelas, baldhead, fatty heart, chronic nephritis and so on. 4. Bangpungtongsungsan fits in Taeumin who has much wetness-heat and those who have much heat or have much heat but don't give off well. And it doesn't fit in the disease of intolerance to cold and fever in the form of weakness headache, asthenia of the spleen and stomach, cold by internal disorder and so on.

Purpose This study was carried out to investigate the correlation between Sasang constitution and lL-4 polymorphism of Atopy gene. Methods 1. We have selected 165 cases of DNA samples from individuals with proven history of Atopy symptom and Sasang constitution. 2. The lL-4 589C-T polymorphism was genotyped by PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis. Result They were divided six groups as the history of atopy and age. There is no group shown statistical correlation in the result of constitutional lL-4 polymorphism typing. Conclusion 1. In the total groups, lL-4 polymorphism(589C-T change of 5q31-33 position) were noted 0.727 on Soumin, 0.790 on Soyangin and 0.809 on Taeumin. It was larger on Taeumin, but there is no stastical difference between. 2. In the Atopy groups, lL-4 polymorphism(589C-T change of 5q31-33 position) were noted 0.682 on Soyangin, 0.750 on Taeumin and 0.807 on Soumin. It was larger on Soumin, but there is no stastical difference between constitution.
