  • We have developed a novel digital feedback predistortion(DFBPD) linearization based on RF feedback PD for the wide bandwidth modulated signals. The wideband PD operation is carried out by combining the DFBPD and memory lookup table(LUT). To experimentally demonstrate the linearization performance of the proposed PD technique for wideband signal, a class-AB amplifier using an LDMOSFET MRF6S23140 with 140-W peak envelope power is employed at 2.345 GHz. For a forward-link 2FA wideband code-division multiple-access signal with 10 MHz carrier spacing, the proposed DFBPD with memory LUT delivers the adjacent channel leakage ratio at an 10 MHz offset of -56.8 dBc, while those of the amplifier with and without DFBPD are -43.2 dBc and -41.9 dBc, respectively, at an average output power of 40 dBm. The experimental result shows that the new DFBPD with memory LUT provides a good linearization performance for the signal with wide bandwidth.

  • Deck plates of ships or offshore structures would make out-of-plane distortion for their thin thickness. These distortions are usually straightened by thermal straightening such as flame heating method. After thermal straightening, the blocks are lifted and moved by cranes to assemble it at dry-dock stage. After this lifting process, out-of-plane deformation again happens frequently. And then, they continuously cause quality and accuracy problems in the final dry-dock process. So, it takes more time for repair and correction working. According to preceding research, the lifting process by cranes would offset the effect on thermal straightening. The target of this study is to develop a methodology analyzing the remaining efficiency of thermal straightening after block lifting. The development was based on the assumption of yield state at straightening region. Therefore the remaining efficiency was obtained by different stiffness slope while lifting & relieving. The efficiency formula was designed using inherent strain, and we made a table of zero-efficiency by cooling speed and class rule's steels. As a result, if the stress orthogonal to straightened line is calculated during lifting analysis by FEA, the efficiency can be obtained linearly to the values in the table. Finally, even optimized carling position can be designed by considering the regional data from series project and welding region on deck.

  • Purpose: An accurate preoperative analysis of the patient is essential in orthognathic surgery in order to acquire superior results. In profile, the location of the chin's position may change according to the neck's inclination. This may ultimately affect the amount of surgical movement. During acquisition of cephalometric radiographs, or in supine position, there is a discrepancy in the neck's inclination. This means that there are also various discrepancies between the actual profile and the various preoperative profile images. In the clinical situation, the decision in performing genioplasty usually lies in the analysis of the patient's profile on the operating table at the final stages of orthognathic surgery. This study aims to analyze the different preoperative profile images and to compare their discrepancies. Methods: Fifty eight patients undergoing orthognathic surgery were chosen. These patients were divided into three groups according to angle's classification of malocclusion, as class I, II or III. The right profile of these patients in centric occlusion was taken in natural head position (NHP). This was set as the 'actual profile image.' Another right profile image was taken on the operating table after insertion of the nasotracheal intubation and with muscle relaxants in effect. This was also taken in centric occlusion. The angle (denoted 'A') between the soft tissue glabella-pognion and the true vertical plane was found in the above-mentioned profile images and in the cephalometric radiographs. The differences of these values were analyzed. Results: There were differences in Angle 'A' in all of the preoperative images. These values were however, not statistically significant. Conclusion: In order to gain an esthetic profile during orthognathic surgery, the NHP is shown to be the most reliable position. Images reproducing such head positions should be used in the treatment planning process.

  • We have prepared a DEMO conveyor device for conveying a large 8G class glass sheet using ahorizontal air-cushion system. This device consists of the body frame and the driving frame that are combined to realize a frame for conveying glass without any contact. The driving frame comprises an air flotation table (bed), drive roller supported at both ends, and ASU. Part of the ASU serves to control the airflow as the chamber consists of a porous pad and fan. Fiber filters replace the porous pad and axial fans serve as an air compressor. In addition, to determine the appropriate glass levitation from the air table, this study examined the design specifications of the applied filter (discharge speed of HEPA and ULPA filters, and flow rate) as well as the height of the and the proper supporting roller height (14mm). Then, after adjusting the position of the ASU and the number of ASUs required to configure the UNIT air floating C/V, we analyzed the height and flatness of the glass and derived the appropriate layout (1140-mm distance between ASUs).

  • The characteristics of forest environmental factors were analyzed using the quantification theory (I) for prediction of the suitable area of erosion control dams. The results indicated that sediment discharge in small forest catchments was significantly correlated with dredging passage (0.7495) and age class (0.6000). In contrast, area (0.3416), slope gradient (0.3207), rainfall (0.3160), altitude (0.2990) and soil type (0.2192) were poorly correlated. Following quantification theory (I), we developed a selection decision table for erosion control dams based on sediment discharge rate as class I (highly suitable site, greater than 2.2496), class II (suitable site, 1.1248~2.2495), and class III (poorly suited site, lower than 1.1247).

  • The Geant4 based Monte Carlo code for the application of stereotactic radiosurgery was developed. The probability density function and cumulative density function to determine the incident photon energy were calculated from pre-calculated energy spectrum for the linac by multiplying the weighting factors corresponding to the energy bins. The messenger class to transfer the various MLC fields generated by the planning system was used. The rotation matrix of rotateX and rotateY were used for simulating gantry and table rotation respectively. We construct accelerator world and phantom world in the main world coordinate to rotate accelerator and phantom world independently. We used dicomHandler class object to convert from the dicom binary file to the text file which contains the matrix number, pixel size, pixel's HU, bit size, padding value and high bits order. We reconstruct this class object to work fine. We also reconstruct the PrimaryGeneratorAction class to speed up the calculation time. because of the huge calculation time we discard search process of the ThitsMap and used direct access method from the first to the last element to produce the result files.

  • Applying the change impact analysis to the distributed environment is not straightforward since it is based on the centralized system environment. In this paper, we investigate the change impact analysis of object-oriented shoftwares in the distributed environment. We first, categories the types of changes common in object-oriented software into three sets: data, method, and class level changes. We, then, analyze the impact of each set of changes and represent it in the form of a DPDG. A DPDG is a graph showing relationship of object oriented softwares - with data elements. classes, design documents, servers - in the distributed environment. DPDG searches element of software to retest when the software is changed. Thus, DPDG saves effort of software to retest. In this paper, We propose the table of firewall for retest elements that be discovered by DPDG and implement the table of firewall. The table of firewall is used VIST that we design a software testing tool. The VIST utilizes the minimized firewall, then saves efforts and costs of retesting for distributed object-oriented software.

  • This paper proposes an algorithm for class hierarchies which can optimize member data and member function. This algorithm considers single/multiple inheritance, static/dynamic binding, overloading/overriding, pure virtual/virtual function, and constructor on the hierarchy of C++ class. We need to eliminate unused function that possesses many component element, because the program uses a limited of function in class hierarchies. Previous works on slicing mainly focused on selecting output data and including the related program statement. It was consists of structured programming language and also centralized on error detection, maintenance, and flexible testing. In this paper, we extend to the object-oriented language, makes a linked-table for objects to raise the efficiency of information management, and proposes necessary algorithm for optimizing system Through this process, we can obtain the simplification of program code and the progress of system performance by eliminating unused member data and member function.

  • Recently, there has been an increasing need for the sharing of microdata containing information regarding an individual entity. As microdata usually contains sensitive information on an individual, releasing it directly for public use may violate existing privacy requirements. Thus, to avoid the privacy problems that occur through the release of microdata for public use, extensive studies have been conducted in the area of privacy-preserving data publishing (PPDP). The k-anonymity algorithm, which is the most popular method, guarantees that, for each record, there are at least k-1 other records included in the released data that have the same values for a set of quasi-identifier attributes. Given an original table, the corresponding k-anonymous table is obtained by generalizing each record in the table into an indistinguishable group, called the equivalent class, by replacing the specific values of the quasi-identifier attributes with more general values. However, query processing over the anonymized data is a very challenging task, due to generalized attribute values. In particular, the problem becomes more challenging with an equi-join query (which is the most common type of query in data analysis tasks) over k-anonymous tables, since with the generalized attribute values, it is hard to determine whether two records can be joinable. Thus, to address this challenge, in this paper, we develop a novel scheme that is able to effectively perform an equi-join between k-anonymous tables. The experiment results show that, through the proposed method, significant gains in accuracy over using a naive scheme can be achieved.
