Electron beam-induced crosslinking of polycaprolactone (PCL) films containing various crosslinking agents (CAs) was investigated in this study. PCL films containing various CAs prepared by a solution casting method were irradiated by electron beams at various absorption doses and the irradiated PCL films were investigated in terms of their crosslinking degree, thermal and mechanical properties, and biodegradability. Based on the results of the crosslinking degree measurement, triallyl isocyanurate was found to be most effective for the electron-beam induced crosslinking of PCL films. The results of the UTM, DMA, and TMA revealed that the thermal and mechanical properties of the crosslinked PCL films were greatly improved in comparison to those of the pure PCL. The results of the enzymatic degradation test revealed that the biodegradability of the crosslinked PCL films was reduced in comparison to that of the pure PCL.
The hydrogen decrepitation behaviour of the $Sm_{2}Fe_{17} alloy containing 4at%Nb was examined by means of DTA and SEM metallography, and the magnetic properties of the alloy were studied by means of VSM or TMA. It has been found that a simple hydrogenation and degassing treatment for the alloy caused a poor hydrogen decrepitation. The cycle treatment consisting of repeated hydrogenation and degassing, however, caused a severe hydrogen decrepitation with a combination of intergranular and transgranular failure. The disproportionation temperature of the hydrogenated $Sm_{2}Fe_{17}-type alloy was enhanced significantly by small addition of Nb. It has also been found that the Curie temperature of $Sm_{2}Fe_{17} matrix phase in the Nb-containing alloy has been enhanced by the hydrogenation, and this was attributed to the increase in interatomic distance between the neighbouring iron atoms caused by the interstitial occupancy of the hydrogen atom into the $Sm_{2}Fe_{17}-type lattice. The magnetisation of the $Sm_{2}Fe_{17} alloy containing Nbwas found to be lower than that of the Nb-free alloy, and this was explained by the dilution effect due to the presence of the paramagnetic $Sm_{2}Fe_{17} phase.

Using by the x-ray diffractometry(XRD), the thermomagnetic analysis(TMA), a scanning electron microscopy (SEM-EDX), we knew that the $(Sm_{0.5}RE_{0.5})Fe_{11}Ti$ (RE=Ce,Pr,Nd,Sm,Gd,Tb) compounds were formed to tetragonal $ThMn_{12}$-type structure having a uniaxial magnetocrystalline anisotropy with easy magnetization c-axis. The intrinsic magnetic properties of those were determined by fitting the two magnetization curves of experimental and calculation magnetization. The anisotropy constant $K_{1}$ of this compounds was in the range of $1.75\;-\;9.2\;MJ/m^{3}$ and approximately one order higher than $K_{2}$. $SmFe_{11}Ti$ had the highest anisotropy of $K_{1}\;=\;9.2\;MJ/m^{3}$, $K_{2}\;=\;0.4\;MJ/m^{3}$ and ${\mu}_{o}H_{A}=\;19.8\;T$ among the compounds, substitution of any other rare earth elements for Sm decreased magnetocrystalline anisotropy.
The relationship between precipitation and coefficient of thermal expansion of Al-6%Si-0.4%Mg-0.9%Cu-(Ti) alloy (in wt.%) after various heat treatments were studied by the thermodynamic analyzer (TMA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Solution heat treatment of the alloy was carried out at 535℃ for 6 h followed by water quenching, and the samples were artificially aged in the air at 180℃ and 220℃ for 5 h. The coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) curve showed some residual strain and decreased with increasing aging temperature. The CTE curves changed sharply in the temperature range of 200℃ to 400℃, and the corresponding peak shifted for the aged samples due to the change in the precipitation behavior of the secondary phase. These transformation peaks in the aged sample are related to the volume of the precipitation of the Si phase as determined by DSC analysis. The change in CTE is mainly caused by the precipitation of the Si phase in the Al-Si alloy, and the size of the change occurs simultaneously with the size of the precipitate.

The network environment is presently becoming very increased. Accordingly, the study of traffic classification for network management is becoming difficult. Automatic signature extraction system is a hot topic in the field of traffic classification research. However, existing automatic payload signature generation systems suffer problems such as semi-automatic system, generating of disposable signatures, generating of false-positive signatures and signatures are not kept up to date. Therefore, we provide a fully automatic signature update system that automatically performs all the processes, such as traffic collection, signature generation, signature management and signature verification. The step of traffic collection automatically collects ground-truth traffic through the traffic measurement agent (TMA) and traffic management server (TMS). The step of signature management removes unnecessary signatures. The step of signature generation generates new signatures. Finally, the step of signature verification removes the false-positive signatures. The proposed system can solve the problems of existing systems. The result of this system to a campus network showed that, in the case of four applications, high recall values and low false-positive rates can be maintained.

Latest studies found that for 316LN austenitic stainless steel (ASS), its LCF life decreased noticeably in high temperature water containing a great amount of dissolved oxygen (DO) (2 ppm DO), compared with that in the water containing 50 or 100 ppb DO. This finding is different from previous studies about ASSs. This study confirmed that the 316L had similar behavior to 316LN. The LCF life of 316L in water containing 1000 ppb DO water was considerably shorter than that in the water containing 50 ppb DO. Addition of boric acid & lithium hydroxide and pre-soaking did not display noticeable effects on the LCF life of this material in the water with 1000 ppb DO, indicating the discrepancy between the latest studies and previous studies was not caused by the boric acid & lithium hydroxide and pre-soaking. This study also confirmed that similar to 316LN, when a certain amount of DO was added into the water, the amount of hydrogen absorbed into the material decreased significantly compared with that when the DO was less than 5 ppb.

Epoxy resins are widely used in various industrial fields. However, they suffer from brittleness, an issue that must be addressed for further applications. To solve this problem, additional fillers are needed to improve the mechanical and thermal properties of the resins; zirconia is one such filler. However, it has been reported that aggregation may occur in the epoxy composites as the amount of zirconia increases, preventing enhancement of the mechanical strength of the epoxy composites. Herein, to reduce the aggregation, zirconia was well dispersed on halloysite nanotubes (HNTs), which have high thermal and mechanical strength, by a conventional wet impregnation method using zirconyl chloride octahydrate as a precursor. The mechanical and thermal strengths of the epoxy composites with The zirconia impregnated HNTs (Zr/HNT) were investigated. Zr/HNT were characterized by Scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmittance electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The thermal strength of the epoxy composites was studied by thermomechanical analysis (TMA) and the mechanical strength of the epoxy composites (flexural strength) was studied by using a universal testing machine (UTM). The mechanical and thermal strengths of the epoxy complex with Zr/HNT were improved compared to those of the epoxy complex with HNT, and also increased as the content of Zr/HNT increased.
A general scheme of a rubber structure is proposed. Using the thermomechanical method(TMA), some changes in the molecular and topological structures for uncured and cured, and unfilled and filled rubbers during processing are shown. In our investigations as region it is understood a complex structure, which is expressed at the thermomechanical curve(TMC) as a zone differed from others in thermal expansion properties. This zone is between the noticed temperatures of relaxation transitions, usually on the level like those determined by DMTA at 1Hz. These regions, which shares, are not stable, and differ in molecular-weight distribution(MWD) of chain fragments between the junctions. Differences in dynamics of the formation of the molecular and topological structures of a vulcanizate are dependent on the rubber formulation, mixing technology and curing time. Some of characteristics of these regions correlate with mechanical properties of vulcanizates what is shown for NR rubbers containing ENR or CPE as a polymeric additive. It is well known that the state of order influences diffusivity of low-molecular substances into the polymer matrix. Because of this, the two topological amorphous regions should influence the distribution of the ingredients and resulting in rubber compounds' heterogeneity, and related properties of cured rubber. Investigation of this problem is expected to be, in the future, one of the essential factors in determining further improvement of polymeric materials properties by compounding with additives and in reprocessing of rubber scrap.

The preservative effect of modified-atmosphere storage on the shelf-life of packed semi-salted and dried mackerel, Scomber japonicus, was examined. The semi-salted and dried mackerel fillets were packed in laminated plastic film bags (polyester/nylon/casted polypropylene: $12{\mu}m/15{\mu}m/60{\mu}m,\;15{\times}16cm$) filled with air (control, C), nitrogen gas (N), deoxygenized air (O) prepared by using free-oxygen absorber enclosed in the bag, in vacuum(V), and stored at $5^{\circ}C$. The quality of packed sample during the storage were examined in terms of viable cell counts of bacteria, thiobarbituric acid(TBA) value, perozide value(POV), volatile basic nitrogen(VBN), trimethylamine(TMA), adenosine triphosphate(ATP) and its related compounds and sensory evaluation. The results obtained are as follows: The pH of all the samples was in the range of $6.1{\pm}0.2$, and the contents of VBN and amino nitrogen of them increased during storage. In color values, L value(lightness) decreased while a and b values (red and yellow) revealed a tendency to increase during storage. The viable cell counts of the control sample(C) increased to $3.0{\times}10^6/g$ after 15 days storage but those of the other samples(V, N and O)were in the range of $2{\sim}6{\times}10^5/g$ after 20 days storage. The content of TMA increased during storage, but the histamine content showed a little change during storage and its content of all samples were less than 16 mg/100g. The inosinic acid(IMP) was rapidly degraded while inosine and hypoxanthine increased during storage. The TBA value of the control(C) reached a peak in 9 days and then decreased gradually while that of the sample(O) showed a little change during storage. The changes in POV of all the samples during storage showed a similar tendency to the TBA value. Fatty acid composition of raw mackerel consists of $35.6\%$ of saturated acid, $30.3\%$ of monoenoic acid and $34.2\%$ of polyenoic acid. The major fatty acid of the sample products were oleic acid($C_{18:1}$), palmitic acid($C_{16:0}$), docosahexaenoic acid($C_{22:6}$). The contents of polyenoic acid such as $C_{22:6},\;C_{20:5}$ decreased during storage while the other fatty acids showed a little change. From the results of sensory evaluation, the shelf-life of the control sample(C) was about 7 days and that of sample(V), (N) and (O) was about 15 days. It was concluded that deoxygenized atmosphere(free-oxygen absorber enclosed in the bag) was a good condition for preserving the quality of semi-salted and dried mackerel.
Because of its importance in tumor invasion and metastasis, the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) has become a research focus in the field of cancer. Recently, evidence has been presented that FoxO4 might be involved in EMT. Our study aimed to detect the expression of FoxO4, E-cadherin and vimentin in non-small cell lung cancers (NSCLCs). We also investigated clinical features and their correlations with the markers. In our study, FoxO4, E-cadherin and vimentin were assessed by immunohistochemistry in a tissue microarray (TMA) containing 150 cases of NSCLC. In addition, the expression level of FoxO4 protein was determined by Western blotting. The percentages of FoxO4, E-cadherin and vimentin positive expression in NSCLCs were 42.7%, 38.7% and 55.3%, respectively. Immunoreactivity of FoxO4 was low in NSCLC when compared with paired normal lung tissues. There were significant correlations between FoxO4 and TNM stage (P<0.001), histological differentiation (P=0.004) and lymph node metastasis (P<0.001), but no significant links with age (P=0.323), gender (P=0.410), tumor size (P=0.084), smoking status (P=0.721) and histological type (P=0.281). Our study showed that low expression of FoxO4 correlated with decreased expression of E-cadherin and elevated expression of vimentin. Cox regression analysis indicated FoxO4 to be an independent prognostic factor in NSCLC (P=0.046). These data suggested that FoxO4 might inhibit the process of EMT in NSCLC, and might therefore be a target for therapy.
