  • 실내에서의 위치기반 서비스를 위한 실내 위치 인식 기술에 대한 연구가 활발하다. 음향 신호와 TDOA 기술을 기반으로 하는 3차원 위치 인식 시스템에 있어서, 마이크 센서의 개수와 배열 위치에 따라 추정된 위치의 오차 특성이 달라지므로, 본 논문에서는 마이크 센서의 배열과 측정된 거리 차이값의 오차 크기에 따른 추정 위치의 오차를 DOP로 분석하고, 그 추정 위치 오차 패턴과 추정 위치 오차값을 고려하여 최적의 마이크 배열을 결정하는 방법에 대해서 연구하였다.

  • Recently, devices like Personal Privacy Devices (PPD) are being employed to avoid the detection of one's location by GPS, and most PPD transmits swept CW signals. However, signals transmitted from PPD may interfere a precise location system based on GPS. Accordingly, in order to reduce interferences by PPD, a technique to locate an interferer is needed. In order to locate an interferer AOA method and TDOA method are generally used, TDOA method is known to be more accurate than AOA method. Unfortunately, TDOA method has a problem of ambiguity in obtaining measurements of swept CW interference. Thus, this paper design a localization algorithm based on TDOA method that can accurately locate an interferer transmitting swept CW signals by resolving problem of ambiguity. In addition, feasibility of the designed algorithm has been verified by simulation results.

TH-PPM UWB를 이용한 실내 위치인식 기법의 성능 분석 (Performance Analysis of TH-PPM UWB System for Positioning in Indoor Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 실내 환경에서 TH-PPM UWB를 이용한 위치인식 기법의 성능을 분석하였다. 실험 환경은 AWGN 및 IEEE 802.15.3a 채널을 사용하였고, 위치인식 기법으로 TDOA를 적용하여 분석하였다. UWB 기반의 위치인식 기술은 실내에서 cm 레벨의 높은 정밀도를 가진다. 모의실험을 통하여 TH-PPM UWB 위치인식 기법의 채널 영향에 대한 오류 확률 및 위치인식 성능에 대해 분석하였고, 제안된 기법의 유용성을 확인하였다.

  • This paper presents a relationship between DOP for TOA and TDOA is defined using the error covariance matrix of TDOA. It is analytically shown that the error ellipsoid of TOA is as same as that of TDOA in magnitude and in orientation, which means that DOP for TOA is identical to the DOP for TDOA. By computer simulation, the positioning performance of two methods is compared, and we verify our assertion.

  • The Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) algorithm is being used widely for identifying the location of a source emanating either electrical or acoustic signal. It's application areas will not be limited to identifying the source at a fixed location, for example the origin of an earthquake, but will also include the trajectory monitoring for a moving source equipped with a GPS sensor. Most of the TDOA algorithm uses time correlation technique to find the time delay between received signals, and therefore difficult to be used for identifying the location of multiple sources. In this paper a TDOA algorithm based on cross-spectrum is developed to find the trajectory of two sound sources with different frequencies. Although its application is limited to for the sources on a disk plane, but it can be applied for identifying the locations of more than two sources simultaneously.

New TDOA-Based Three-Dimensional Positioning Method for 3GPP LTE System

  • Recently, mobile positioning enhancement has attracted much attention in the 3rd generation partnership project long-term evolution system. In particular, for urban canyon environments, the need for three-dimensional (3D) positioning has increased to enable the altitude of users to be measured. For several decades, several time difference of arrival (TDOA-) based 3D positioning methods have been studied; however, they are only available when at least four evolved Node Bs (eNBs) exist nearby or when all eNBs have the same height. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new 3D positioning method that estimates the 3D coordinates of a user using three types of two-dimensional (2D) TDOAs. However, the give inaccurate results owing to the undefined axis of the 2D coordinate plane. Therefore, we propose a novel derivation of the hyperbola equation, which includes the undefined axis coordinate in the 2D hyperbola equation. Then, we propose an interaction algorithm that mutually supplies the undefined axis coordinate of users among 2D TDOAs. By performing extensive simulations, we verify that the proposed method is the only solution applicable by using three eNBs with different heights.

Non-uniform Weighted Vibration Target Positioning Algorithm Based on Sensor Reliability

  • In the positioning algorithm of two-dimensional planar sensor array, the estimation error of time difference-ofarrival (TDOA) algorithm is difficult to avoid. Thus, how to achieve accurate positioning is a key problem of the positioning technology based on planar array. In this paper, a method of sensor reliability discrimination is proposed, which is the foundation for selecting positioning sensors with small error and excellent performance, simplifying algorithm, and improving positioning accuracy. Then, a positioning model is established. The estimation characteristics of the least square method are fully utilized to calculate and fuse the positioning results, and the non-uniform weighting method is used to correct the weighting factors. It effectively handles the decreased positioning accuracy due to measurement errors, and ensures that the algorithm performance is improved significantly. Finally, the characteristics of the improved algorithm are compared with those of other algorithms. The experiment data demonstrate that the algorithm is better than the standard least square method and can improve the positioning accuracy effectively, which is suitable for vibration detection with large noise interference.

공통 클럭을 이용한 UWB 거리 인지 및 무선 측위 기술 연구 (A Study on UWB Ranging and Positioning Technique using Common Clock)

  • 실내 무선 측위를 위한 UWB (Ultra Wide Band) 무선 측위 시스템에서는 정확한 위치 정보를 추정하기 위해 거리 인지 정보를 사용한다. 거리 인지를 위해서는 TOA (Time of Arrival), TDOA (Time Difference of Arrival)와 같은 시간 정보를 기반으로 하는 기법을 사용하는 것이 일반적이며, 시간 정보를 측정하기 위해서는 흔히 클럭 정보를 사용하는데, 이 때 가장 기본적으로 고려해야할 요소가 클럭 동기를 맞추는 것과 클럭 오프셋에 의한 오차를 보상하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 이를 해결하기 위해 공통 클럭을 이용한 거리 인지 및 무선 측위 기술을 제안한다. 제안하는 무선 측위 기술의 성능 검증을 위하여 IEEE 802.15.4a TG에서 제시한 채널 환경에서 공통 클럭을 이용한 측위 시스템의 거리 인지 및 우선 측위 결과를 확인하기 위한 실험을 진행하였으며, 모의실험 결과를 통하여 클럭 오프셋에 영향을 받지 않는 우선 측위 결과를 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다.

스마트폰 기반의 3차원 실내위치 인식 (3D Indoor Positioning System Based on Smartphone)

  • 사용자 맞춤형의 지능화 서비스를 위해 실내에서 사용자 및 기기들의 3차원 위치를 인식하는 기술에 대한 중요성이 급증하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 최근 들어 폭발적으로 활성화된 스마트폰에서 음향신호를 발생하고 5개의 마이크들을 십자 형태로 동일 평면상에 배치한 3차원 위치 측정 장치에서 TDOA 방식을 적용하여 스마트폰의 3차원 위치 좌표를 추정하는 2가지 방식을 제안하고 실험적으로 검증하였다.

  • A new method for the GPS repeater based indoor positioning is proposed and its feasibility is verified by experiments in previous paper. But the problems how can identify switching GPS repeater's ID and when switching will be occurred are remained. To solve the problem faced with, we propose the time synchronized switching GPS repeater and the methods of the detection of switching time and the estimation of TDOA. First, switching GPS repeater retransmits the signals synchronized on GPS time, sequentially. Always, first switching time is synchronized with 1 PPS. Second, we formulate the detection of switching time and the estimation of TDOA and propose the various methods. No method is existed absolutely superior to others in any conditions but the method is existed superior to others in specific condition. Finally, feasibility of indoor positioning using time-synchronized switching GPS repeater is evaluated through experiments in anechoic chamber and general environment with multipath.
