Multiple parties-owners, engineering and construction contractors, and suppliers involve the delivery process of capital facility projects in the construction industry, and each party obtains or provides their workforce, material, equipment, or service tied into specific contracts. Considering that construction projects are based on the contracted relationship between the parties and that contract types are one of the significant factors determining project success. it is critical for project stakeholder to select appropriate contract types for successful deliveries of projects. With these considerations, this paper assesses impacts of different contract types on project cost, schedule, safety, change, or rework. Analyzing data from real construction projects, the differences in project performance between two contract types, Cost Reimbursable and Lump Sum are measured and statistically tested to investigate if the differences are significant. For this analysis, performance metrics developed by Benchmarking and Metrics program, the Construction Industry Institute are used.

The purpose of this study is to find out the tendency of the new generation’s consumer roles and green consumption behavior for the environmental conservation. This study is also to reveal some fundamental information for an environmental education program which si able to support the new generation consumers to participate voluntarily in an environmental activity. The 500 subjects of this study were selected from the new generation consumers who wre residing in Seoul, 1998. The 414 data wre finally analyzed by Mean, t-Test, ANOVA, and Multiple Regression Analysis. The major findings were as follows: 1) the purchasing roles of the new generation consumer tended to be higher than the citizen participation’s roles. The variables with the higher score for the new generation’s green consumption behavior were in the rank of the isolation of environmental waste, the purchasing behavior of green product, the recycling environmental resource, and citizen’s participating roles in environmental activity. 2) the new generation’s consumer roles showed a significant differences, according to variables for the environmental value, environmental education, and participation of the environmental and societal activity 3) the green consumption behavior for the new generation consumers showed a significant differences, according to sex, environmental value, participation of the environmental and societal activity. 4) the most influential variables for the green consumption behavior of the new generation consumers were in the rank of consumer roles, educational values, and the participation of the environmental activity. As we see above, the consumer education for the new generations needs to focus on consumer’s roles that let them participate voluntarily in environmental and societal activity, as well as practice positively to use green environmental products whenever they select some items in the markets.
The purpose of this study was to examine how life-changes after divorce, individual resources, and interpersonal resources affect post-divorce adjustment. Especially it focuses on gender differences. Data were collected from 114 divorced men and 112 divorced women in their 20s and 30s with the inclusion criteria of 1) having hen divorced for at least 6 months but less than 5 years, and 2) not having remarried after divorce. AH divorced men and women were interviewed with self-report questionnaires. The analysis included frequencies, means, t-test, crosstabs, and hierarchical multiple regression models. The major findings were as follows. 1) Divorced women were better adjusted than divorced men. 2) Fnancial satisfaction and health problems were important factors for both divorced men and women. 3) There were gender differences in the variables that affected post-divorce adjustment. Social support and significant others' attitude toward divorce influenced post-divorce adjustment for divorced men. For divorced women, negative change in financial circumstances, their own attitude toward divorce and divorce initiation found significant. This study showed that there were gender differences in the factors affecting Post)divorce adjustment. The findings of this study suggest that a program for supporting divorced men and women should consider gender differences.
PURPOSE. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the accuracy of three techniques for correction of cast implant bars. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Thirty cast implant bars were fabricated on a metal master model. All cast implant bars were sectioned at 5 mm from the left gold cylinder using a disk of 0.3 mm thickness, and then each group of ten specimens was corrected by gas-air torch soldering, laser welding, and additional casting technique. Three dimensional evaluation including horizontal, vertical, and twisting measurements was based on measurement and comparison of (1) gap distances of the right abutment replica-gold cylinder interface at buccal, distal, lingual side, (2) changes of bar length, and (3) axis angle changes of the right gold cylinders at the step of the post-correction measurements on the three groups with a contact and non-contact coordinate measuring machine. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and paired t-test were performed at the significance level of 5%. RESULTS. Gap distances of the cast implant bars after correction procedure showed no statistically significant difference among groups. Changes in bar length between pre-casting and post-correction measurement were statistically significance among groups. Axis angle changes of the right gold cylinders were not statistically significance among groups. CONCLUSION. There was no statistical significance among three techniques in horizontal, vertical and axial errors. But, gas-air torch soldering technique showed the most consistent and accurate trend in the correction of implant bar error. However, Laser welding technique, showed a large mean and standard deviation in vertical and twisting measurement and might be technique-sensitive method.
PURPOSE. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the stability of interface between Co-Cr-Mo (CCM) UCLA abutment and external hex implant. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Sixteen external hex implant fixtures were assigned to two groups (CCM and Gold group) and were embedded in molds using clear acrylic resin. Screw-retained prostheses were constructed using CCM UCLA abutment and Gold UCLA abutment. The external implant fixture and screw-retained prostheses were connected using abutment screws. After the abutments were tightened to 30 Ncm torque, 5 kg thermocyclic functional loading was applied by chewing simulator. A target of $1.0{\times}10^6$cycles was applied. After cyclic loading, removal torque values were recorded using a driving torque tester, and the interface between implant fixture and abutment was evaluated by scanning electronic microscope (SEM). The means and standard deviations (SD) between the CCM and Gold groups were analyzed with independent t-test at the significance level of 0.05. RESULTS. Fractures of crowns, abutments, abutment screws, and fixtures and loosening of abutment screws were not observed after thermocyclic loading. There were no statistically significant differences at the recorded removal torque values between CCM and Gold groups (P>.05). SEM analysis revealed that remarkable wear patterns were observed at the abutment interface only for Gold UCLA abutments. Those patterns were not observed for other specimens. CONCLUSION. Within the limit of this study, CCM UCLA abutment has no statistically significant difference in the stability of interface with external hex implant, compared with Gold UCLA abutment.
Purpose: The present study aimed to measure root surface roughness in teeth with periodontitis by a profilometer following root planning with ultrasonic and hand instruments with and without erbium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet (Er:YAG) laser irradiation. Methods: Sixty single-rooted maxillary and mandibular teeth, extracted because of periodontal disease, were collected. The crowns and apices of the roots were cut off using a diamond bur and water coolant. The specimens were mounted in an acrylic resin block such that a plain root surface was accessible. After primary evaluation and setting a baseline, the samples were divided into 4 groups. In group 1, the samples were root planned using a manual curette. The group 2 samples were prepared with an ultrasonic scaler. In group 3, after scaling with hand instrumentation, the roots were treated with a Smart 1240D plus Er:YAG laser and in group 4, the roots were prepared with ultrasonic scaler and subsequently treated with an Er:YAG laser. Root surface roughness was then measured by a profilometer (MahrSurf M300+RD18C system) under controlled laboratory conditions at a temperature of $25^{\circ}C$ and 41% humidity. The data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and a t-test (P<0.05). Results: Significant differences were detected in terms of surface roughness and surface distortion before and after treatment. The average reduction of the surface roughness after treatment in groups 1, 2, 3, and 4 was 1.89, 1.88, 1.40, and 1.52, respectively. These findings revealed no significant differences among the four groups. Conclusions: An Er:YAG laser as an adjunct to traditional scaling and root planning reduces root surface roughness. However, the surface ultrastructure is more irregular than when using conventional methods.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of mothers' recognition of Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), parenting stress and family support in mothers of children diagnosed with ADHD. Methods: The data were collected from December 24, 2009 to July 23, 2010. The participants were 141 mothers of children diagnosed with ADHD and who lived in D city. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients with SPSS 17.0 were used to analyze the data. To determine the most effective variable (mothers' recognition, parenting stress and family support) to predict parental stress, data were analyzed using canonical correlation with SAS 9.1 TS. Results: Canonical correlation analysis revealed that professional and teachers' roles of the 3 sub-domains of mothers' recognition were the most outstanding variables in predicting parenting stress. Parental distress/parent-child dysfunctional interaction of parenting stress was the most outstanding variable in predicting both mothers' recognition and family support. Spouse cooperation in family support was the most outstanding variable in predicting parenting stress. Conclusion: The results suggest that strengthening parents' recognition of ADHD and supporting interventions are important for reducing parenting stress. Professional and teachers' roles, parental distress/parent-child dysfunctional interaction and spouse cooperation should be included in the contents of structured programs.

The purpose of this study was to identity the relationship among emotional expression, emotional support, and psychosocial well-being, to analyze the factor affect the psychosocial well-being and to provide the data-based for effective development of emotional education program. The subjects for this study were 553 undergraduate college nursing students. The period of data collection was from 16 to 30, June, 2001. The instruments used for this study were emotional expressiveness scale (EES), ambivalence over emotional expressiveness questionnaire (AEQ), affect intensity measure (AIM), social support scale (SSS), and psychosocial well-being index (PWI). Data were analyzed by use of Descriptive Statistics, ANOVA, t-test, Stepwise multiple regression, Pearson's correlation coefficient with SPSS WIN program. The Major results were as follows: 1. The average score of items for the AIM, EES, AEQ were moderate at 3.8, 3.7 and 3.4. The level of SSS was high at 7.2 and PWI was low at 52.1. 2. Significant correlation were found between the AIM, EES, and AEQ. The EES was positively correlated with the SSS and negatively correlated with the PWI. On the other hand, the AEQ was positively associated with the PWI and negatively associated with the SSS. There was significantly negative correlation between the SSS and PWI. 3. In demographic characteristics, significant difference was shown only in the EES. The EES was significantly different according to grade. The difference in the SSS and PWI between 3groups were significant at the EES and AEQ. 4. Results from hierarchical multiple regression analysis indicated that the EES, AEQ, and AIM had influence on the SSS. And perceived the AEQ and SSS together explained 18.7% of variance in the PWI. The results of study provide evidence about the roles of emotion in psychosocial well-being. As a result, this study suggests that later study would be required to identify factors affect the psychosocial well-being and to develop the emotional education program to enhance emotional expression.

Purpose: This study was carried out to describe the process and evaluation of a critical thinking class for new community health practitioners. Methods: The case study design was used to develop and evaluate a critical thinking class for 46 participants in the community health practitioners training program. The class was held two hours a week for 8 weeks. Critical thinking disposition was tested before and after the class and critical skill was graded according to the final test score. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and paired t-tests using SPSS WIN 20.0. Results: Clinical critical thinking competences were identified through the literature review. The case situations with questions guiding the problem-solving process were developed and used for group discussion. Critical thinking disposition of participants was determined to have increased slightly after having taken the class. 17.4% of the participants had a competency level high enough to solve a problem and half of them stayed at the level of understanding of critical thinking. Compared with the class's satisfaction with the relevance to their jobs, the satisfaction with the learning method and instructor was high. Conclusion: The findings of this research will serve as the basis for developing critical thinking classes for community health nurses in order to improve their critical thinking competence.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a lesson plan related to a simulation for nursing students by understanding what relationship learning satisfaction, self-efficacy and learning attitude have after applying simulation-based education on emergency nursing care. Methods: Simulation practice, seminar, class and group self-study about a patient having a myocardial infarction were applied to nursing students for 5 weeks. After applying the simulation-based education on emergency nursing care, students rated their learning attitude, learning satisfaction and a sense of self-efficacy with a self-administered questionnaire and academic achievement was divided into written and performance evaluation. SPSS/WIN 17.0 was used for descriptive analysis, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA and pearson correlation were also used. Results: In this study, the performance evaluation score was related to learning attitude (r=.210, p=.018).Learning satisfaction (r=.220, p=.013)and written evaluation score was related to learning attitude (r=.211, p=.017) and learning satisfaction (r=.190, p=.032). Conclusion: In this study, simulation-based learning was a useful method for practical ability and this is good to acquire both of knowledge and technique. Not only evaluation of theoretical knowledge but performance ability related to practice has to be done by developing lessons with various methods and content. In addition, a standard evaluation method needs to be developed.
