The purpose of this study is to analyze the size of ready-made clothing for elderly women and to evaluate their fit according to body type. Subjects were 33 women aged 60 and older, and they were classified by stature and drop index. The size of clothing which manufactured by four apparel brands were measured and compared with body size, and the size designation of four brands was compared. The questionnaire was carried out to subjects, and the size recognition and dissatisfaction with ready-made clothing were analyzed. The fitting test were carried out, and the subjects evaluated the fit of jackets and slacks of four brands. In the result of questionnaire, we found that subjects had little recognition about their clothing size. Subjects responded that they often felt dissatisfaction in their jacket length, sleeve length, shoulder width, bust girth, slacks, and waist girth. We found that each apparel brands had different sizing system and that even if the size designation of label was same, the clothing size was quite different. So the elderly women who didn't have so much knowledge about their own clothing size had a tendency to confuse with choosing proper clothing for themselves. In the wearer's evaluation, the significant difference in the degree of unsatisfaction were certified in several body parts according to wearer's body type. Especially, the degree of unsatisfaction in the case of subjects of having very small stature or very small hip was higher than other body types. From the result, we certified that it was necessary to consider the characteristics of each body type to increase the satisfaction of elderly women with clothing.

Cultural value is widely accepted as the crucial concept in understanding consumer behavior: cultural values influence consumption values, which determine choices of consuming everyday products and services. The objectives of this study were to (a) identify the difference between cultural and consumption values in the Korean fashion industry and (b) to explain the difference using the existing theories introducing fashion system, which are Solomon(2002)'s cultural production model in marketing area and Hamilton(1997)'s fashion system arbiter in clothing area. The qualitative data used to identify cultural values were 160 apparel advertisements listed in a fashion magazine issued in 2002. Utilizing the convenient sampling method, the quantitative data used to identify consumption values were gathered by surveying female university students aged over 20 living in the Seoul metropolitan area. Of 369 returned questionnaires, 255 were used in factor analysis and paired t-test. Cultural value ignored functional aspect of apparel while it was one of the most salient factors for consumption value. With respect to success and fashion orientation factors, cultural value highly appreciated them while they were the least considered factors for consumption value. These implicate that the Korean fashion industry can be explained by Hamilton's macro-level cultural and fashion system arbiters and cultural production model as well. Introducing macro-level perspectives about fashion system, this study encourages researchers to expand their research spectrum from micro-level consumers to macro-level fashion industry, which has long been neglected by the fashion marketing researchers in Korea.
Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the influence of elderly-related experience on attitude toward elderly in dental hygiene students. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 213 dental hygiene students in Suwon from November 21 to 30, 2012. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects, elderly-related experience, knowledge on elderly, and attitude toward elderly by Likert 7 points scale. The instrument for knowledge on elderly was adapted from facts on aging quiz-I by Palmore and modified by Kim et al. Data were analyzed by t test, one way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 21.0 program. Results: The attitude toward the elderly was $2.79{\pm}0.42$. The elderly-related experience had a positive influence on the attitude toward elderly(p=0.019) according to the level of experiencing the elderly(r=0.161, p<0.05). The influence of elderly-related experience on attitude toward the elderly showed that an experiencing variable is key factor in predicted variable of the attitude toward the elderly(${\beta}$=0.177 p=0.015). Conclusions: Elderly-related experience had an effect on positive attitude toward the elderly people in the dental hygiene students. It is necessary to develop and implement the education program for the exact knowledge and attitude toward the elderly.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the satisfaction level of students with a job tour program and their major and their adaptation to their major in an effort to provide some information on student guidance and the improvement of dental hygiene education. Methods : The subjects in this study were 269 freshmen to find out their views of job tour and the relationship of their general characteristics and motivation of major choice to satisfaction level with their major and adaptation to the department, t-test and one-way ANOVA were carried out. And correlation analysis was made to look for connections among major satisfaction, major adaptation and satisfaction with job tour. Results : 1. As for the choice of major, the biggest group of 128 students (47.6%) made a decision on their own. 2. In regard to satisfaction level with their major, the freshmen got $3.55{\pm}0.67$, and the sophomores got $3.36{\pm}0.66$. There was a significant difference according to academic year(p<0.05). 3. Concerning the links between motivation for major choice and major satisfaction, the students who chose their major in consideration of their own aptitude or personality got the highest marks of $3.96{\pm}0.64$(p<0.05). 4. As to satisfaction level with the job tour program, they were most satisfied with field trip($4.03{\pm}0.74$). 5. Regarding the correlation among major satisfaction, major adaptation and satisfaction with the job tour program, there was a significant correlation among all the variables(p<0.01). Conclusions : The students who gave priority to their own aptitude and personality in choosing their major were more satisfied with their major and were better adapted to that. Therefore it's required to consider how to boost the satisfaction level of students with their major and their adaptation to that.
Objectives : This study has attempted to investigate subjective oral health awareness, oral health behavior and analyze how the results are correlated with oral health-related quality of life against middle school students. Methods : A self-administered questionnaire survey was performed against 552 students from three middle schools in Changwon. A frequent analysis was conducted on research subjects' general characteristics, oral health awareness, oral health behavior. In addition, t-test and ANOVA were carried out to analyze oral health-related quality of life by the general characteristics, oral health awareness and oral health behavior. Results : In terms of oral health-related quality of life by general characteristics, the quality of life on oral symptoms was higher at lower school grades (p<0.05). In terms of social welfare, oral health-related quality of life was higher as parents' monthly income increased (p<0.05). Oral health-related quality of life was high in oral symptoms when there was no interest in oral health, in functional limitation, emotional welfare and social welfare when there is some oral health-related knowledge (p<0.05) and in all sub categories when oral conditions are healthy (p<0.05). Conclusions : The results of this study has come up with important information for improvement of oral health-related quality of life in middle school students by investigating the correlations between oral health awareness and oral health-related quality of life.
The purpose of this study was to use as a basic data to develop suitable nursing intervention program and decide an appropriate intervention time after assessing shoulder range of motion in postmastectomy from 2 weeks to 3 month. 147 patients are chosen as study subject among patients who were in recovery of 2weeks, 1month, 2months and 3 months after surgical operation which is modified radical mastectomy. Data were collected at oncology medicine local and general surgery local in Seoul National University Hospital from May, 2003 to October, 2003. The range of motion of the shoulder(flexion, extension, abduction, internal rotation, external rotation) were examined. Analysis of data that shoulder range of motion average and standard deviation, percentage of the unaffected side and affected side compare with normal shoulder range of motion. Paired t-test was adopted to analyze the difference between affected side and unaffected side. Conclusion from this study is as following, 1. The most serious problem was external rotation (0.56%) and internal rotation is the next (19.9%) in 5 kinds of shoulder range of motion in 2 weeks after surgical operation 2. There was no difference in internal rotation after post operation 3 months but there were differences and shown to recover more than 90% in flexion and abduction. Also shoulder function incresed in flextion less than 80% and more than 80% in external rotation. As this study finding was shown that shoulder range of motion did not get back perfectly except of internal rotation and extension in point of 3 months after breast cancer surgical operation. External rotation was specially shown the lowest result so it is needed to exercise for improving their physical functioning recovery in postmastectomy patients. And it is suggested to study for helping to postmastectomy patients' physical and psycosocial functions with the early rehabilitation program which is based on these results.
Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the correlation between health status, health-promoting behavior, self-esteem and suicidal ideation among the elderly. Method: Subjects consisted of 115 elderly persons. Data were collected from January to March 2013, and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, a t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis. Results: The mean scores for health status ($2.41{\pm}.68$), health-promoting behavior ($2.38{\pm}.43$), and self-esteem ($2.87{\pm}.69$) among the elderly fell in the average range, whereas scores for suicidal ideation ($.48{\pm}.36$) among the elderly fell in the below average range. Health status differed significantly according to age, educational level and economic status. Health-promoting behavior did not differ significantly based on these general characteristics. Self-esteem differed significantly according to age, job, and number of people living in the household. Suicidal ideation differed significantly based on age, educational level, and economic status. Significant correlations were found between health status, health-promoting behavior, self-esteem, and suicidal ideation. Conclusion: These findings indicate that perceived health status, health-promoting behavior, and self-esteem may be factors that need to be considered in order to decrease the prevalence of suicidal ideation among the elderly. These results can be used to develop a suicide prevention program for the elderly.
Objectives : This study was supposed to investigate factors which influence to preference of medical tourism products of Japanese tourists in Seoul, Korea. Methods : Data were collected from 228 Japanese tourists who visited' Seoul Center for Culture & Tourism' in Myeong-dong, Seoul, Korea. We measured factors which influence to preference for medical tourism. The data were analyzed by T-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. Results : The major findings were as follows ; Japanese tourists preferred medical products in the order of skin care, oriental medicine treatment, health screening, and scaling & teeth whitening. They considered technical level of medical staff most importantly, followed by safety of medical products, communication during diagnosis and treatment, follow-up service, modernization of medical facilities and equipment, and the reasonable medical expenses. Japanese tourists' preferred medical institutions in the order of a university hospital, a specialty clinic, a special hospital, They said they intend to pay 50,000 to 150,000 yen for medical tourism. The preference to medical tourism products are that single women group in their twenties and thirties for skin care, married people group aged over thirties preferred oriental medicine treatment, and married men aged over forties and high income earners favored health screening. Conclusions : It should be considered carefully that the preference exists on some factors especially for Japanese tourist. Further research about preference on medical tourism products for tourists from the other countries is required appropriately to fulfill the needs.
This study is focused on analyzing whether strategic human resource management practices influence organizational effectiveness such as organizational citizenship behavior and customer orientation. In addition, it also aims to analyze the mediating effect of perceived organizational support between strategic human resource management practices and organizational citizenship behavior and customer orientation. The samples are from five Veterans Hospital and of 344 questionnaires collected, 311 were used in the final analysis. SPSS(18.0) and AMOS(16.0) were employed to describe data and test hypotheses. The findings are as follows: First of all, it is found that education and training and hiring management have positive effects on perceived organizational support while only education and training has a positive effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Secondly, results reveal that career management and hiring management influences customer orientation while only perceived organizational support does organizational citizenship behavior and customer orientation affects organizational citizenship behavior. Thirdly, it is also found that perceived organizational support mediates the relationship between career management and organizational citizenship behavior and that between hiring management and organizational citizenship behavior. In other words, perceived organizational support is a full mediator between career management and organizational citizenship behavior and between hiring management and organizational citizenship behavior because there is no direct effect of career management and hiring management on organizational citizenship. However, results show that any perceived organizational support doesn't mediate the relationship between all strategic human resource management practices and customer orientation.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the need for family life welfare service program, and to develope the program for managing in the Community Centers. The survey was conducted by interviewing 356 users and 360 non-users of Community Center, total 716 persons living in Daegu City, from October 8 to October 30 in 2002. The data were analyzed by the SPSS PC+ program applying t-test and ANOVA. The results were as follows : First, overall the needs for family life welfare service program, consisting of education program, facilities management and counseling program, and event program, was higher than 3.7 points. The needs level for event program was a little higher than other two programs. Second, the level of needs for family life welfare service program differed between user group and non-user group of the Community Centers. Third, the level of needs for family life welfare service program varied according to the demographic variables, such as sex, age, marital status, family life cycle, education level, vocation, monthly average income and housing type. Finally, Based on the results of needs analysis, 11 education programs, 4 facilities management and counseling programs and 5 event programs were developed for family life welfare service program. These programs developed in this study could be applied to diverse groups classified by age, social class, family life cycle of citizens. Also the programs should be applied in terms of family unit, as well as individual base to enhance the function of family life.
