리프팅 러그의 구조 강도 평가 (The Structural Strength Assesment of Lifting Lug)

  • Lifting lugs are frequently used in shipyard to transportate and turn over blocks. As the shipbuilding technology develops, blocks has become bigger and bigger, and block management technology takes a more important role in shipbuilding to enhance the productivity. For the sake of economic as well as safe design of lug structure, more rigorous analysis is needed. In this study in order to investigate the strength characteristics of two type of lug, that is, D and T type lugs, non-linear strength analysis has been carried out to compare the ultimate strength characteristics of two types of lug varying in-plane and out-of-plane loading directions. Based on the present numerical analysis results, it can be drawn that T type lug is superior to D type lug from view points of ultimate strength and deformation.

  • Lifting lugs are frequently used in shipyard to transport and turn over blocks of ship and offshore structures. As the shipbuilding technology develops, blocks has become bigger and bigger, and block management technology takes a more important role in shipbuilding to enhance the productivity. For the sake of economic as well as safe design of lug structure, more rational design procedure based on the rigorous structural analysis is needed. This study is concerned with the optimum design of T type lug which is frequently used in shipyard. The optimum thickness of lug's main body is to be determined based on the results of non-linear strength analysis. As far as the present results for the present T type lugs having different capacity are concerned, it seems to be necessary to review the current design procedure of lug structure. The present design procedure can be extensively used in design of various types of lug structures used in shipyard.

With the development of shipbuilding technology, blocks have increased in size, and block management technology has assumed a more important role in shipbuilding to enhance the productivity. For the sake of economics, as well as the safe design of a lug structure, a more rational design procedure based on a rigorous structural analysis is needed. This study investigated the strength characteristics of T-type lugs, considering the influence of blocks on which lugs are attached, by varying the in-plane and out-of-plane load direction. In this paper, the ultimate strength is also addressed for cases that include or do not include blocks in the strength analysis. In the present results, when there was a load acting in the normal direction to the block surface, the strength characteristics became poor, and the ultimate strength decreased. This paper ends by describing the need for further study to develop a more rational design for a lug structure.

  • 러그는 선박 및 해양구조물의 블록을 이동하거나 반전에 많이 사용되는 부품이다. 선박이나 해양구조물의 제작기술이 발전함에 따라 블록이 점차 대형화되고 있어, 생산성 향상을 위해 블록을 보다 효율적으로 다루는 기술에 대한 중요성이 대두되고 있다. 러그 구조의 안전하고 경제적인 설계를 위하여 비선형 구조해석 결과를 토대로 도출한 최종강도를 기준으로 한 보다 합리적인 설계과정이 필요하다. 본 연구는 조선소에서 자주 사용하는 T형 러그의 최적 구조설계를 다루고 있다. 본 연구에서의 T형 러그에 대한 최적 구조설계 결과는 충분한 구조적 안전성이 보장될 것으로 판단되고, 러그 용량별 최적 구조설계 결과의 중량 감소량에 어떤 규칙성을 발견할 수 없었는데, 이는, 현재의 설계과정에 대한 검토가 필요한 것으로 생각된다. 여기에서 제시한 비선형 구조해석에 기초한 최적 구조설계 과정은 향후 보다 다양한 경우의 러그 설계에 적용될 수 있을 것이다.

트랙터부착형 배추수확장치의 설계요인 (Design Factors for Chinese Cabbage Harvester Attachable to Tractors)

  • This study was conducted in order to develop a Chinese cabbage harvester attachable to tractors. For designing Chinese cabbage harvester in which laboratory and field tests were conducted with to determine feasible values design factors. To adopt the various sizer of C-cabbages, U-type soft rubber band was attached to the chain conveyor with an angle. Required torque of the conveyor axle was about 206-210kgf$.$cm. And the required peripheral speed of the disk cutter was 6.54m/s or more to have a clean session in root cutting. Three different harvest method were tested. The best harvesting method with minimum pulling force and damage was disk cutting flying just above the soil surface were the cut chinese cabbages are transferring to the holding conveyor attached soft rubber lug in prompt. Theoretical speed ratio of the tractor travel and feed of a chain conveyor was 1:1.2 with the attaching angle of 30 degree and 1:1.1 with the angle of 20 degree. Actual field experiment showed the speed ratio of 1:1.5 was the best because of the slip effect.
